Nobody since Daughtry has managed a decent follow up album which is crazy. This song is better than BTIKM which sounded like a loser to me from day 1. I'm just not sure this has what it takes to make it big and really sell the album. It will do better than BTIKM at least. Will that be enough?

I actually really like this! It's gonna be a summer club banger somewhere! Hopefully this smashes. BTIKM never really got a fair chance, but this one seems exactly like what pop radio would eat up!

It's awesome. I hope it gets a fair shot at radio.

Better than BITKM, I can see this getting some decent radio airplay but I can't see this becoming a massive hit that WDWFM was.

For the record, I LOVED Better Than I Know Myself. I know I seem to be the only one, but just putting that out there before we move on. Your taste is so good, Jack; but, you already know that. I, too, think this song is very nice and it's a shame it never took off. I feel bad for Adam because he seems humble, hardworking and is obviously very talented but this time around, there doesn't seem to be much interest.

The beat of this song is nice, but he should've softened his vocals some. They are "biting" and have too much "edge."

Not was good as WYWFM. It may do okay but it's doesn't sound like anything near a smash to my ears. But much better than single #1 now that I've heard the whole thing.

The production was drastically improved in the final version. I kinda like this now. Still not hearing a big hit though. It's definitely more radio-friendly than the last single. I think can see this hitting top 30ish with some good promo.

The hook is the only thing that helps me retain interest. Still stronger than BTIKM but still lacking and will likely stall around #30.

I was a bit surprised how much like "Good Feeling" this sounds, but then I remembered that Dr. Luke produced that too. It seems to be more radio friendly than his first single, but I don't really hear smash potential. It gets better with repeated listens though.

[Single Review] Adam Lambert – “Never Close Our Eyes”Produced by Dr. Luke and penned by Bruno Mars (how’s that for a Top Forty hit machine?), “Never Close Our Eyes” sees Glambert diving head first into the dance genre, but it’s dance done Marina & the Diamonds style. Just like Marina’s “Primadonna”, it’s lyrically richer and vocally stronger than most of the club-driven stuff on the radio, despite the fairly generic beats behind it all. The lyrics are thrillingly romantic, and against the backdrop of Luke’s blistering electro-pop production “Never Close Our Eyes” plays like The Lover’s Guide to Ibiza. A return to dance-pop was inevitable for Glambert, but thankfully that big beautiful voice of his is still coming through loud and clear. “Never Close Our Eyes” may have the kind of production that you’d expect from a Flo-rida or Taio Cruz song, but Glambert still sings over the beat like a rock star and once again proves that he’s the best male pop vocalist in the game today. Overall it’s not the absolute best thing that Adam’s ever done, but it’s head and shoulders above a lot of today’s radio-dance, and there aren’t many artists who can be so blatantly Top Forty while retaining their individuality like Adam can. Score: 3.75/5 click to read full review... www.theprophetblog.net/single-review-adam-lambert-never-close-our-eyes

much better than the first one. I even like this more than WWFM. But I have no idea how far it will go on pop, hopefully top 20 at least.

I like this alot. After reading some of the posts here I thought I was going to be hearing a midtempo song. What a surprise when I heard it for myself. I think it's catchy enough to do well at raido. I think it still has a slight rockish feel to it even though it's production is more dance/pop.

I love this. I think it's a lot better than BTIKM. Hopefully it does decently so his album doesn't keep getting pushed back because all the other song clips I've heard sound good too, so I'm excited to hear everything in full.
