Taylor will be receiving the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award in December. The award honors leaders of the international business, entertainment, and activist communities who demonstrate commitment to social change. Past recipients include Bono, George Clooney, Al Gore and President Bill Clinton.

Ideally, she'll perform her single at the VMA's. It's the perfect platform to introduce her song to Pop viewers, especially if the sound IS poppy. I still think her Innocent performance was a little self-deprecating and unnecessary, and truthfully, a big Taylor production is long overdue. She was on the right path for a while with all her performances at the country music awards, they kept getting bigger and bigger but Pop viewers never really got a chance to see that because she took her music and stage persona into a different direction. If the single is uptempo and poppy, which I think it will be, the VMA's should and MUST happen.

Women Dominate Our List Of The Highest-Paid Celebrities Under 30On our list of the 10 highest-paid celebrities under 30, women take six spots, and four of the top five, led by Taylor Swift at No. 1. We estimate that between May 2011 and May 2012, Swift earned $57 million. Each of the 22-year-old singer’s three albums have gone platinum at least four times, meaning that in these days of waning music sales, Swift can be counted on to sell at least 4 million copies of every album. Then there’s her concerts, which bring in an average of $1 million per night, and her endorsement work for products like CoverGirl makeup. Swift’s money and fame helped her land in 11th place on our annual Celebrity 100 list this year, which is based on earnings and metrics we’ve developed to quantify buzz. www.forbes.com/sites/dorothypomerantz/2012/07/12/women-dominate-our-list-of-the-highest-paid-celebrities-under-30/

I feel like the album title and that kind of stuff may be more hush hush this time and come out a little later, but the single title should be released a few days before it's sent to Country radio.

Hopefully we hear something within the next couple of weeks. I really hope you are right. It would be nice to hear something before the end of the month. Well, it looks as if Taylor has managed to keep her same album schedule going for 4 straight years. Carrie wasn't able to do that, which was smart since she took some extra time to get her album just right.

Hopefully we hear something within the next couple of weeks. Yep. She also shot the video for "Mine" on July 7-8th. We only knew about it though because it was in such a random small town. I doubt we'll know when she's shot the video for the new single. Some celeb hairstylist tweeted about doing a shoot with Taylor in Nashville a couple days ago; not sure if it was for the album or a magazine cover, though. I think it was the latter since that's what he usually works on. Hopefully it's a good one. When SN came out she was on the cover of Glamour. She's due for another Rolling Stone cover...

This is all so exciting! I really do feel like this album will be completely different from her past efforts. What's so great about Taylor is that, even if she's not given credit for being versatile, I feel like she can capture so many types of vibes and moods with her music. Nathan is great, and they make magic together, but the fact that she's finally expanding her sound and collaborating with different producers AND writers (who always bring out the best in her - If This Was A Movie, anyone?). I feel like this might be her most critically acclaimed effort yet, though it'll be hard to top Speak Now in terms of praise. I also feel like she's over her Pop phase for some reason and she'll pursue a more folky vibe, combined with a more rock-influenced sound. I used to think she'd go the more country route but the more I think about it, the more I feel like she'll be a lot more...folky this time around, which frankly, would disappoint me a little bit because I am probably one of the few people in this board that doesn't really enjoy "Safe & Sound" but I also remember Scott Borchetta saying that her new music wouldn't sound like that, and I'm pretty sure he KNOWS that from a commercial point of view, it wouldn't be the best idea. Maybe it'll be a combination of both, but I really feel like her music is about to change. This album will be a game changer.

Album Sales This Week: Speak NowTW: 4.8k LW: 4.4k Total: 4.1263 million FearlessTW: 2.8k LW: 2.6k Total: 6.5692 million Both albums increased in sales this week. I can't. I know it's probably a long shot, but I would LOVE if Fearless could pass 7 million sold sometime soon. With the release of a new album, the holiday shopping season, and her unbelievable consistency even years later, it might be possible.

B.o.B. Says Taylor Swift Made Their Hit 'Both of Us' Collab Happen: 'She Brought Me Out to Dallas'Posted on Jul 18th 2012 12:15PM by Sarah Kurchak Rapper B.o.B (a.k.a. Bobby Ray Simmons Jr.) and country sweetheart Taylor Swift might sound like a musical match made in focus group heaven, but B.o.B insists that the pairing couldn't have come about more naturally. In fact, he actually considers "Both of Us," his collaboration with the singer, to be one of the most genuine tracks on his Strange Clouds album, a record that also sees B.o.B trading rhymes with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and his long-term colleague T.I. The pair's musical friendship started with a text out of the blue. "I got a text one day: 'Hey. I know this is random, but this is Taylor Swift,'" the rapper tells AOL Music Blog as he recreates the stunned look of disbelief he first got when he looked at his phone. "Nobody gets that text message! But it was her." Swift was preparing to come to Atlanta on her Speak Now tour and wanted to invite some of her favorite local rappers to join her on stage. B.o.B was out of town and couldn't make it (T.I. and Young Jeezy ended up performing with her that night), but the pop superstar wasn't about to give up on one of her favorite hip-hop artists that easily. "She actually looked at my schedule and said, 'I see you're going to be near Dallas. How about I bring you to Dallas?' And I'm like, 'Yes! Let's do it!' So she brought me out to Dallas and that's when we talked." B.o.B played Swift a demo version of "Strong Enough," and she immediately fell for the song's message of love and hope. "She was like "I love it!' Before it was halfway in, she was all for it." The rapper is still a little overwhelmed by just how much she adored the song. "I don't want to say I didn't think she was going to like it, but I wasn't expecting that type of response." He's also genuinely happy with how everything worked out. The way he sees it, if he'd been able to make it to Atlanta that night, the story behind "Strong Enough" could have been very cold and clinical -- and that collaboration might never have materialized at all. "There would have been so much going on," says B.o.B. "I probably wouldn't have had a chance to play the song. I think it was supposed to happen that way. Those are the intangible things you can't mastermind, you can't plan or you can't set up a conference call for. That was a good moment for me, because features like that usually happen in a very, very corporate way, but it just happened artist-to-artist and I love that part about it." blog.music.aol.com/2012/07/18/bob-taylor-swift-both-of-us/

I feel like it's been so long since Speak Now, with just a few appetizers here and there...so ready for her new music. I definitely think she's only going to get better as time goes by.

I bet she does a collaboration with Dr. Luke. Now THAT would surely expand her audience. My only fear is that it could alienate her country audience, who are primarily the ones buying albums faithfully these days for their favorites.

I like Dr. Luke, and I love 'Both of Us', but I don't want her to work with him on her own material.
