One More Night seems to have some nice steady momentum and has currently pushed up to #2 on iTunes...anyone think it has a shot at the top spot? I'd say it's a lock for top 5 at this point...

Taylor must spend months and months at #1.
Oh I'm surprised at how well Taylor did. The last 8 days have brought 9, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 13 million. So 2nd biggest airplay day so far. Great momentum.
Out of curiosity looked to see the top album/singles threads:
Gaga #1, Mariah not #1, Britney #1, Taylor #1, Madonna #1
Britney #1, Whitney leads to recurrents being allowed to chart, Britney #1, Britney + Rihanna #1, BEP's 26th #1 week
Though the biggest BB200 thread was the rule change blocking Britney from #1. Britney seems to be the artist that gets the most worship and/or arguments.

M5 is having a pretty epic era. Payphone was massive in sales and airplay and now One More Night seems to be following suit-I am impressed that cd sales, single sales, and airplay all seem to be aligning. I have a feeling One More Night will just miss the top spot, but in the end it may not even matter since it will likely be a huge sales winner with singles and cd sales.

On a serious note I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporated the Social 50 elements (YouTube is spread incorporated somewhat) into the Hot 100. I think some of them might be in the future, but not all of it. Mainly because the Hot 100 tracks progress of specific songs, whereas the Social 50 just tracks artists. |

This week, WANEGBT will sell about 150k more than Whistle. It will be about 15M behind on Airplay. That's still too big a gap for streaming to do anything. Swift should easily be #1.
Some Nights and One More Night should both enter Top-5.

I just hope WANEGBT won't burn quickly like Gaga's BTW and Britney's HIAM. I mean, these 3 songs broke records and peaked at number one. But it burned pretty quick too .

Britney burned quickly (she always does), but Gaga was #1 with BTW for 6 weeks. I see Taylor doing something in between Britney and Gaga. BTW spent 6 weeks at number one. But it didn't have the huge momentum like JD or PF. I hope Taylor can stay at the top at least until she performs at the VMAs |

I don't think 'Never ever' is going to have quite that longevity, but will definitely be more than Born this Way. I do think having it on multiple formats (especially slower ones like AC, Hot AC, and Country) will help it, maybe 30+ weeks, but not sure about near 50. |

Another week at #1 for Taylor. I also see her enjoying multiple weeks at #1 especially with the video coming out next week. Streaming will no longer be a setback.
