I know this track is on the upcoming "Live 2003" CD. Is it a track that did not make it onto their last CD? "Moses" sounds like it could have appeared on "A Rush Of Blood To The Head". Coldplay fans will love it. For those who do not like the band, it will only give them another reason not to.
Personally, I believe it will do well on AAA and Hot AC.

"Moses" definitely was NOT recorded for A Rush of Blood To the Head That album was recorded as long ago as 2 years.
"Moses" is a new song. I belive Chris wrote it as recently as this past summer. It is about Gwyneth Paltrow... and I'm not even sure if the two of them have been dating a year yet.
Anyway, like all of their songs, this is great.

Thanks for the info, jerseyboy. I was listening to "Moses" as I was reading your post. I like it more and more each time I listen to it.

I actually don't know what the radio version will sound like. I only heard this song once, in August when Chris performed it live on K-Rock during an interview. I loved it on that once listen though.

I have an mp3 that was recorded live in Houston. Do you know if the new CD was performed at just one venue or a collection of their best performances over the past year?

I just found the answer to my own question:
Coldplay's upcoming live CD was recorded July 21st and 22nd in Syndey. Street date is Nov 11.

This goes for Hot AC adds next week. I'm not too sure I know how it's going to do. Hopefully Top 20, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't even get that high.

Interesting title. Will radio avoid it because of the title alone? (I don't know what the lyrics are.)

I think "Moses" will likely do as well as "The Scientist" on Hot AC.
It won't impact the chart as big as "Clocks" but still get a respectable audience I imagine.
Predicted peak: #26
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I think it'll go #1 on AAA. I think "Moses" has a great shot at #1 on Triple A, though it's going to have to wrestle with Counting Crows and Jack Johnson's "Taylor" for it, which I imagine will just rocket once it starts picking up the adds. Coldplay is clearly THE AAA artist of 2003, with "Clocks" sweeping the year-end competition by a huge margin and "The Scientist" also being huge. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I think it's gonna have problems at all formats. It's a novelty song. I can't see it getting out of the 30s on hotac, and it might have to work just to reach top 10 on aaa.
