A new Annie Lennox song, "Into The West" will be featured on the LORD OF THE RINGS: Return Of The King[/i] soundtrack due Nov 25th.
Will the appearance in one of the holiday's most anticipated movies (over the end credits), get Annie Lennox some airplay on Hot AC or even AC?

Is her song the only non-instrumental track? If so, she may pull an Enya somehow. Remember Enya's 'Let It Be'?

Screw this track. What the hell happened to the Bare album is what I want to know. It's one of the best of the year and J Records has done nothing for it. No videos, and no promo outside of a weak push behind "Pavement Cracks".

This album was off to a great start and J could have used that to their advantage, but instead let it fall through the cracks. Monica's album, also on J, is a very similar story.

Annie Lennox, just like any other artist on that label, signed her career away when she signed with J.

It's not like I think Arista would have done a better job if she'd stayed with them. At least Clive Davis has a track record of supporting veteran artists. Part of the problem is Annie herself. Outside of a couple of TV performances on the week of release, I've not seen her anywhere in months.

Annie was on Leno in the past week or two. The same night that Norm MacDonald was one of the guests. I forgot what the song was, but it didn't sound like it fit any format at all.
What I remember most about her performance was that she tried to be really sexy, shaking it and stuff. I was kind of embarrassed to be watching a middle aged lady do what she was doing...

I think a video would have been well received on VH1 who always supported her. The choice for singles was weak especially the second single..."Wonderful" was not going to be a hit plain and simple. I think people want to hear Annie sing some uptempo songs. I think "Bitter Pill" would have been an excellent choice for release...push it with a cool video. That song could almost chart at pop if promoted correctly.
Bare was good overall but not as good as her previous two. Too depressing and too many slow songs. Still its better than 90% of the crap out there.
