This goes for adds next week, November 10th.
How do ya'll think it will do? Can it put Jewel back in the top 20, at least?
I say, yeah, hopefully!

I think it's good that they are rush releasing this one so soon after 'Stand' flopped. As I said in the Jewel topic, it could pass as the 'Intuition' followup since 'Stand' went pretty much unnoticed. I'd say it could be a minor hit. Definately Top 30 Hot AC.

Well, they are doing ONE thing right. Sending it to Hot AC and not Pop first. This should help convince HAC that Jewel is still a core artist.
I hope this does well but Jewel albums are notorious for only 1 big hit and flop follow-ups (the debut peing the exception of course). I'd love Jewel to get some holiday airplay!

I don't really like this but hopefully it can restabilize her career.

I don't think she should slow it down like this just yet. Although "Two Become One" would be a good choice for a third single (being slower), but to most people this is going to feel like a second single.

It only happened twice and 'Down So Long' did fairly well. Where did it peak on Hot AC? Although I'd be quite positive that it will happen again with this CD.

I don't know who chooses Jewel's singles, but they do a bad job IMO. I like 2 Become 1, if they planned on releasing it, they should have made it single 2 to get rid of the "Jewel abandoned her roots" comments... people have started to forget about Jewel. If they wanted an AC Xmas song, I think 2 Find U would be a better choice.
Why they didn't release Yes U Can or Sweet Temptation to pop I have no idea.

I am not a big fan of this song and I am not really surprised it's not blowing up at Hot AC. I think they should've released a different single altogether

Well, it was only announced almost a week ago so that didn't really give stations much of a headsup. Besides, don't they send out promo-CDs and such or would stations have to play the song from the actual '0304' CD? Maybe promo-CDs are being sent out. I won't call this one over just yet.

Another 8 adds for Jewel this week:
JEWEL "2 BECOME 1" (ATLANTIC) MARY CONROY has this one just starting to simmer as WBMX/Boston jumps on board! KALZ, KHOP, KLTG, KOSO, KVUU, WNNK, WWWM.

KALZ, KHOP, KLTG, KOSO, KVUU, WNNK, WWWM. Unfortunately for Jewel offhand I don't recognize any of these as big market stations. WNNK is in Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle, and combined with listeners in York and Lancaster it could have good audience per spin, but not nearly as much as in Boston. I look on Mediabase and those stations combined have horrible audience per spin. WBMX has good audience per spin but it's not Top 30 on that station.

3 more adds this week.
That makes a total of 18 stations. The sad fact is this will not be reviving 0304. :(

It's an okay song. It has never really been a favourite of mine off her latest album.

I think if 2 Become 1 isn't going to do it they should just send out Yes U Can (verrrry radio-friendly) to both Pop and Hot AC. They don't really have much to lose.

I agree that "Yes U Can" has an outside chance of taking off. However, I have a feeling we'll never know because after the disasters of "Stand" and "2B1" I'm sure Atlantic is ready to throw in the towel.

2 Become 1 returns to Hot Ac's greatest gainers!!! Ok, it doesn't have the best bullet ever (+30) but hey, it's not dead yet!!! It seems that 31 stations are playing the song.

I really like this song and thought it could break Jewel out of the doldrums but it does get old quick. :(

I could see "Yes U Can" doing great on pop! Maybe not Hot AC and that is her core format.
"Yes U Can" is my favorite on the album behind "Stand."
"2 Find U" seems Hot AC friendly.

It\s been too late snce "Intuition" to expect another hit from this album, no matter how good/radio-friendly the song is. :'(

It is the only tolerable song of her 3 singles so far, and it is fairly radio friendly but after the disaster known as "Stand" it won't do anything besides some minor action on Hot AC. She sucks as much as John Mayer when it comes to releasing 2nd singles. (I still can't get over what an idiotic move it was to release "Break Me.")

The followup to 'Standing Still' and one of the worst songs on her 'This Way' CD.

Yeah. The video was alright. I liked the video for 'Standing Still' more. It really matched the song!
The third release from the album was a remix to 'This Way'. I have NEVER been able to find the remix though. I've been wanting to make a CD with all of Jewel's radio remixes and stuff and have been waiting for this one. Anyone know where I can find it? Anyone have it?
