Funny thing about this song, is that listening to the lyrics, everything about 'rockstars' holds true. Absolutely. I guess that's why I've always liked this song. The lyrics are a little blunt, but they sure speak the truth!

This is moving along quite nicely.
10 10 NELLY FURTADO Say It Right 2006 Mosley/Geffen 1851 1898 -47 9.721 13 11 NICKELBACK Rockstar 2005 Roadrunner/Lava/Atlantic 1814 1576 238 8.912
This could be #11, #10, or #9 on the week-end chart depending on what happens.
When was the last time any artist got 5 top 10s off of the same album on Hot AC?

When was the last time any artist got 5 top 10s off of the same album on Hot AC? Kelly Clarkson did it with her "Breakaway" cd.

When was the last time any artist got 5 top 10s off of the same album on Hot AC? I don't have the Hot AC stats, but I checked my CHR/Hot AC combo chart, and here's what I came up with Justin Timberlake - 4 top 10 hits and counting, almost definitely 5 when "Lovestoned" starts getting popular (not sure what his new CD is called) - "Sexy Back" hit #2, "My Love" hit #4, "What Goes Around..." hit #3, and "Summer Love" (so far) hit #4 Kelly Clarkson (2004-2006) - Four #1 hits "Breakaway" "Since U Been Gone" "Behind These Hazel Eyes" "Because Of You" / "Walk Away" hit #3 Alanis Morissette (1995-1997) - Two top 10 hits "You Oughta Know" and "Hand In My Pocket" / then three #1 hits "Ironic" "You Learn" "Head Over Feet" That's all I could find back to 1994 not sure if "You Oughta Know" would've hit Top 10 on Hot AC back then, though

This isn't really going anywhere now. ??? What happened? "If Everyone Cared" is still above it and its bullet it almost gone. I thought this would at least peak at #6, probably be another top 5 for them.

A whole bunch of HAC stations already played the crap out of it when it was first released so now they have it back in light rotation- thought it might have this problem

I liked the way the video used mostly ordinary people to lip-sync the lyrics. The sad part is that the video was heavily censored. I can see them bleeping out "a--hole", but why remove "drugs", "drug dealer" and "pills"? P.C.ism rears its ugly head again!

I need to admit somethin - pls. don't make fun of me ...I have no clue what or who the "bodyguards try to beat up" that gets censored in this song - it rhymes with "tassles" I think

^ He says "Hire 8 bodyguards that love to beat up as*holes" I always here "tassles" in the edit though. My favorite edit is replacing "dress my ass with the latest fashion" with "dress my bus with the latest fashion".

My favorite edit is replacing "dress my ass with the latest fashion" with "dress my bus with the latest fashion". What the censors are doing is called "looping" - which is dubbing a less-offensive within the same song over a more-offensive one. They took "bus" from the line "new tour bus" and dubbed it over "ass". I think that's so silly beyond stupidity because these words they're bleeping out are common everyday non-swear words. Even "ass" without the "hole" at the end isn't one of the so-called 7 dirty words. Would they bleep out "ass" even if someone was talking about a donkey? That would really be taking censorship too far! >:(

^ Hahah, yeah I figured that about "bus". I think censorship is taken too seriously about words like "ass", yet more serious things are not bleeped out. And weren't the "7 Dirty Words" from the 70s lol? They ought to be a lot less bad now! (I saw it on "That 70s Show", so I assumed that).

What the censors are doing is called "looping" - which is dubbing a less-offensive within the same song over a more-offensive one. Like in 'Get The Party Started' where "ass" is replaced with "benz" from earlier in the song. I always found that edit annoying.
