This is the first single off her new album. Erm, it's quite different! Very upbeat for a Tori song. I quite like it, although only a sample of the song has leaked so far. Also, the "M.I.L.F." bit makes me giggle.

How do you know it's the first single? They haven't announced a single yet, officially. They've only previewed two tracks on promosquad.

I heard it was the first single too.
These are some lyrics
"I've been on my knees but you're so hard to please Did you take me, take me in? So you are a superstar, GET OFF THE CROSS WE NEED THE WOOD
Somehow you were right but with attitude I know honey you're a pro But baby I don't need your cash Mama got it all in hand... now
Big wheel turn my fantasy Don't you throw that shade on me I been drinking down your pain You don't turn that whiskey into rain Wash it away. Wash it away boy. Wash you away now.
Give me eight Give me seven Give me six Give me five Give me four Give me three
I, I, I am a M-I-L-F Don't you forget M-I-L-F Don't you forget M-I-L-F Don't you forget
Baby I don't need your cash "

The only person that has said it's a first single is Perez Hilton, and it's kind of spread from there. But I can tell you, with confidence, that nothing has been officially announced yet in terms of the single. I highly, highly doubt this will be the single. I definitely think they will go with the other clip that leaked, Bouncing Off Clouds.
I mean really - can you see radio playing a song that talks about a MILF!? Yeah...

Well, I am eating my words :) Big Wheel goes for adds April 2nd! The full version can be heard on NPR's spring music preview: www.npr.org/programs/asc/archives/20070322/It says listen to Teenage Hustling, another track on the album, but it is actually mislabeled. It's definitely Big Wheel. I love this song!! Her best single since A Sorta Fairytale, and her most rocking single in years!

"Big Wheel" is such a grower: if you ignore the comical aspect of it, it's really a great song! Love "Teenage Hustling" as well... it's going to be a better album than "The Beekeeper".

I agree that it's a grower. I was very disappointed with this song at first, but now I LOVE IT! The M.I.L.F. part still gets on my nerves though. I love Tori. She's one of my favorite singers of all-time and The Beekeeper is one of my favorite albums of this decade. I'm definitely going to pick up her new album.

I really am enjoying this song so much!
The M.I.L.F. part just cracks me up so much. It's like the "honey bring it close to my lips, yes" from "Professional Widow." That M.I.L.F. part would make such a fun vocal loop to use in a dance remix.

Well apparently, some stations are refusing to play the song because of the MILF line... too explicit. They demand that the part be cut out. Epic is working on a plan B. I just think it's so ridiculous. Songs with worse words/phrases get played on the radio all the time. www.undented.com

I'm guessing those are mostly triple-A or Hot AC stations because if it were pop stations, I think Tori's label should sue for discrimination because I bet tons of rap/hip-hop songs make use of the word "milf".

They're releasing Bouncing Off Clouds in Europe so maybe they'll switch to that here too.

I love the "Give Me Eight, Give Me Seven..." breakdown before the MILF part. So fun.

My AAA station has been playing and praising this. I like it!
This feels so different from typical Tori to me.

It's alright, Tori is too good for the radio.

Just heard this for the first time on Music Choice. Good song! Not what I'd usually expect from her. Will need to hear it a few times before I can decide just how much I like it, though I doubt my local station is spinning it much.

Billboard review:
Big Wheel TORI AMOS Producer(s): Tori Amos Genre: ROCK Label: Epic
Leave it to Tori Amos to turn a dirty acronym into a demand for respect. In the bridge of "Big Wheel" she declares, "I - I - I am an M-I-L-F, don't you forget," twisting the backward compliment into the definition of a woman you better think twice about messing with. We're not sure which personality from Amos' concept album "American Doll Posse" sings this song, but we suspect Santa, the Sally Kellerman-ish vamp armed with martini glass in the CD artwork. That would fit the jaunty piano that's kissing cousins with a honky-tonk upright and hand-clap percussion. This is a gal who can hold her liquor with the big boys. Triple A radio's inconsistent prudishness has some stations shying from "Big Wheel," but the rollicking number still hit No. TK on that chart this issue. βChrista L. Titus
