As expected.
I'd really like to see "Can't Let it Go" after this one.

The intro to this is pretty much EXACTLY like the MB song 'Layers'. If MB was actually well known to any extent, I'd say he'd have a lawsuit on his hands. LOL!

I prefer "Can't Let It Go", but you can't argue the radio-friendly vibe of this track either.
Hard to say how well this will perform. The album itself is a lackluster seller right now, but despite that, the Goo Goo Dolls are a well-established sentimental favorite to the format as the last couple singles from this record have proven.
I think this will go Top 20, but not Top 10.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

To be honest, I'm surprised that they are holding up as well as they are on the format. Over at CHR, they've gone as much downhill as the Gin Blossoms and most other 90s bands. When was their last CHR hit anyway? And their album sales don't seem to be doing so well. For a band that only 7 years ago was having the top airplay of pretty much any artist on the formats, things have really changed. Personally for me, I've found most of their songs to be alright but nothing really special. 'Better Days' was a nice song but 'Stay With You' really didn't stand out for me.

I'm pretty sure Johnny Rzezniak hit #41 with I'm Still Here back in 2003 on CHR. I swear it may even broke the Top 40 during the week but then was kicked off by a surge of rap acts.

Both Better Days and Stay With You made the top 50. Better Days was actually in the 40-50 range for like 2 months.

I really really like this track. I hope it goes top 10 on HAC. It looks like it is headed there!

This will probably go top 10, but not top 5, something similar to "Stay With You." Did "Stay With You" make the top 5? I thought it stopped around #6 or #7. I find it interesting how their most recent songs explode in the first month or so and then fizzle out really quickly as they approach top 5. I thought for sure that "Stay With You" would go #1 with the take off that it had. Regardless, I love this song! I hope "Can't Let It Go" is the next single!

The Goo Goo Dolls get a lot of airplay around here. I've been hearing all of their recent singles a lot. They're not bad. :)

I just haven't been feeling this era from them. "Let Love In" is the first album of theirs I haven't purchased since whatever came before "Superstar Car Wash".
"Gutterflower", like this album, had a clean kind of production sound that made the tracks sound much more accessible and radio-ready. Despite that, there's a real difference between that album and this one, where "Gutterflower" still held that edge musically on tracks like "Big Machine", "What A Scene" and "Truth Is A Whisper" (one of my favorites from them to date), and in contrast, everything on "Let Love In" sounds all toned-down intentionally, where even on one of the album's louder tracks, "Stay With You", the rock sound sounds all calculated.
There's just not much substance to this album. I respect the Goo Goo Dolls are making a genuine effort to mature their sound, but this time around there's little that's real interesting about this album.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Did "Stay With You" make the top 5? Stay With You peaked at #5 for 2 weeks in July 2006.

I think this is the best they have since Sympathy in 2001.

This song is much better than "Stay With You" but I doubt it will do any better on the chart. It seems like people just aren't into the Goo Goo Dolls like they were before.

I believe this peaked at #9 and is currently sitting at #10 bulletless. It will likely fall out of the top 10 this week as "It Ends Tonight" has a pretty large bullet. However, there is a chance that it will re-enter the top 10 next week as both Nickelback and Rob Thomas are dropping at a much faster pace. "Say It Right" will also pass "Let Love In" in the coming weeks.
I loved "Stay With You" and I loved this song. I loved them equally. It's just too hard to pick favorites from my favorite band. I too think it deserved equal success on the chart as "Stay With You" which peaked at #5.
Has anyone heard anything about another single or is this album era over? I think "Can't Let It Go" has potential. "Feel The Silence" and "Without You Here" could also be minor hits if given the chance.

This is a great song but I think it would've been fantastic if the chorus was better...I think what I really love about this song are the verses but the chorus is alright too.
