^ Yes, they should try and gain some ground back on rock with material like "Hands All Over" and "Harder to Breathe". That and "This Love" are my favs from Songs About Jane. Do you really think rock would ever play them though? It seems like even if they recorded Shinedown-type material they wouldn't get picked up by those stations. But personally, I would love to hear more rock-ish songs from them. Hands All Over and Harder to Breathe are two of my fave M5 songs.

"Stutter" for next single, then? That's more rock-ish, I guess. Either way, I still think NGLTB could/should do well...hrmph :/

Ah the age of overkill. You don't have to look too far. Nickelback's album had 6 or 7. Same goes for Daughtry's debut. awwi know im old im 32 and i know artists still do that sometimes, i just miss the frequency and radio/fan loyalties of yesteryears lol, i mean billy joel had a hige hit in 94 with river of dreams 20 years after Piano Man, these days one bad cd and you're black balled most times imo It's funny that you mention "River of Dreams." Not to make you feel old or anything, but I was in 91 and that is the first CD I remember. It's awesome. ^ Yes, they should try and gain some ground back on rock with material like "Hands All Over" and "Harder to Breathe". That and "This Love" are my favs from Songs About Jane. Maroon 5 on rock? Did I read that right? Maroon 5 on rock radio is about as likely as Kanye on AAA these days.

^ Well they did reach #23 I think with "Harder to Breathe" on the Alternative chart. Stuff like that could do ok on alt these days, too.
I mean, if "Paper Planes" by MIA can make it on the rhythmic, urban, pop, HAC, and alt charts, all the same time, I can't see why Maroon 5 can't do moderately well on alt.

"Harder to Breathe" peaked at #31 on Alternative. I can't see them getting any airplay there again.

I am in love with this song rn. I by-passed it when I listened to the album when it first came out, but today I heard it 3 times on the radio and its fantastic. Much better than Give a Little More

This is a strange song because the first 30 seconds or so are not that appealing. It's not until the chorus breaks in that it really finds itself. It's one of my favorites on the album but it's definitely one of the "softer" tracks.

The video is alright but I am already over this one. "Stutter" and "I Can't Lie" are more interesting, especially "Stutter". Hopefully that will be the next single for Summer.

Hmm...this is exactly what I was afraid of w/ them choosing to release this track over Stutter. It's being ignored- it's good but just not a stand-out. Anyone have any airplay stats?

^Don't see how it's being "ignored" - it's #14 with a +140 bullet

So it definitely looks like Hot AC hasn't abandoned them at all - GIve A Little More must've just been a bad single choice I guess
11 11 MAROON 5 Never Gonna Leave Th... 2087 1917 170
My Hot AC is spinning this a lot, and they didn't touch GALM

GALM made it all the way up to #10, so I'll wait to judge this song's success. Hopefully the okay bullet means it'll keep moving up and peak higher though.

I don't see why people are so high on "Stutter." It's decent, but it lacks the pop hooks to be a hit. It would have done worse than GALM. This song is doing fine.

Has this charted on the Hot 100 yet? Hot AC-only songs don't usually chart on the Hot 100 (or chart well) cause HAC spin rotation is much lower than other formats

Just figured I'd post that this has gone Top 5 at HAC. A good showing after GALM's stalling at #10. Hope this means we'll get at least one more single from the album.

I think it's hit like 69 on the Hot 100 or something. I hope the next single is "Runaway." I keep hearing it at the mall.
