Thanks all three. I heard that edit in the preview on American Idol (or X Factor? I really don't remember) and was hoping they'd make something better than that.

Here is the clean version uploaded by Interscope on Soundcloud: ( Link) The b*tch is not censored, but I think there are some radio stations, like Capital FM, who has censored it.

All the times ive head it (which is a lot it is constantly on music vid channels) here in UK ''Bitch'' has been censored. but here they censor like everything even in E.T. ''imma disrobe you then imma probe you'' was censored, they didnt even put a different line there they just took it out and let the background music play. Ive lost count of the silly things ive heard censored!

This is moving at a great pace. I'm happy that it's doing well and I hope that it can serve as an effective lead-in to the 8th album era, albeit with a small gap in between.

This is holding up way better than I thought it would.
I mean, look at Hold It Against Me's digital run: 1-3-10-OFF T10 forever.

Pop: 34 24 WILL.I.AM F/BRITNEY SPEARS Scream And Shout 3007 1700 1307 23.928 +229 Spins +128 Bullet +1.312 AI About its iTunes performance, it is surprising that this is holding up so well but I think the fact that the video was released so early and is being played so much is helping it out a lot whereas the HIAM video didn't come out until a month after its release. I also think, while I love it, it's clear that HIAM just didn't click with the public like S&S (surprisingly), 3 and Womanizer did/do. TTWE would've had way better longevity had it been released as the lead single.

WILL.I.AM & BRITNEY SPEARS – Scream And Shout: 32.662 (+ 1.496)
This is doing exceptionally well. Only Taylor Swift had the slightly better update today on CHR

I do think this would be bigger than Hold It Againts Me, I mean, it seems the public love it. It holding up well on iTunes (top 5 after 3 weeks of its release, while HIAM already out of top 10 at this point, if i'm not mistaken).
and the radio updates are surprisingly great so far.

It's weird because I love Britney and I loved Hold It Against Me, and I can't figure out the appeal of this song. But I suppose its success can help her next opening single do well, so...good for it?

Her next single was going to open well regardless. HIAM wasn't even well-received by the mainstream public and still opened to 411k. Sustainability can be a problem with Britney but opening big won't be a problem.

I'm a huge Britney fan and I already dropped this song from my playlist. (and I'm still jamming hard to Femme Fatale singles.) I was so ready to pretend this never happened but all these radio updates and its strong digital performance makes it hard for me

This 100 times more catchy than HIAM was imo. I think that's what it comes down to really, the hook of HIAM just wasn't as instant as TTWE, 3, or this. There's a set formula for hit dance/pop songs nowadays and for HIAM, while Dr. Luke produced, the production was little deviant to that formula.

It was, especially the video but it's def a "harsh" production for a Bertney song. Its replay value is very low for some reason too, and I think that's why even with the big radio start it had, it just never clicked with people. Like, I still have FF on my iTunes and I never feel the urge to play it when I listen back to the album. It's always the singles + Up'n'Down/Selfish/How I Roll/Inside Out.

HIAM's replay value is big for me as well. It's just that I always play it from the part where the dubstep kicks in until the end of the song.

Its replay value is very low Not for me! Same here. HIAM is my favorite and overall most-listened to Britney song. I think I played it like 40 times in its release week and I still play it pretty often.
