Radio Filler #70-61#70 3OH!3 - Double VisionI initially had hated this song back when it became a single, I didn't even chart it. However when I revisited the album this year, I found that this song was in fact quite enjoyable! I still believe it was an absolutely horrid single choice, but still it has some definite catchiness to it. The bridge leaves a lot to be desired though. There are two entries left for the band, but will either of them make it onto the upper half of the chart? Peak: #4 Weeks: 13 #69 Gold Fields - Dark Again (Lights Out)This song is one that was still charting at the end of the 2012 season. It likely won't be able to make the 2013 chart, but I won't be dropping it from my list quite yet. It's a great song and one that I really would love to see crossover to CHR/Pop and smash like crazy. The hook and the chorus are absolutely mesmerising. I find the lyrics really fun and the vocals are awesome. Great instrumental as well. This is just an all-around good song! This is the only entry for the band. Peak: #5 Weeks: 10 #68 Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child ft. John MartinYet another song that will carry over its chart run into the 2013 year. Everyone knows that Ciara has a plan for them, and this band has been great at getting the word out! This is an amazing house/pop song and I'm glad it is seeing the success that it has been on CHR/Pop and the Hot 100. I really love the chorus and the hook especially. This was just the perfect send-off song for the band. I wish them the best on their solo endeavours. This is the only entry for Swedish House Mafia and for John Martin. Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 7 #67 Olly Murs - Troublemaker ft. Flo RidaThis was a song that instantly had me hooked and it wasn't even because of Flo Rida; but his presence of course helped this song have the success it did on my personal chart. This was definitely a quick rise, quick fall. It has too much burn-out, although I can always listen to Flo's part again, which I've decided is the best part of the song (not surprising). I never even liked Maroon 5's Misery which people are quick to compare this to. This is the only entry for Olly, but expect five more entries from Flo Rida because he is the best and you are wrong if you disagree. Peak: #3 Weeks: 8 #66 Drake - HeadlinesThis song unfortunately had its chart run split between years. This is a really good Drake song and one of my favourites from him by far! This song definitely feels like it goes through a bunch of different segments that flawlessly hook into one another. This song rose quickly, so a few big weeks were lost due to the chart split, but it had good enough longevity to still make a good splash here for this year! This is his highest entry. Peak: #4 Weeks: 14 (4 weeks of the 14 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #169 on the 2011 chart#65 Taylor Swift - All Too WellThis keeps on feeling like a split-run section of my chart with this song still charting. This has grown on me and become one of my favourite Taylor Swift ballads. The song will definitely continue to fair well into the 2013 year and I wouldn't be surprised to see it make an impact on that year-end even though it's already spend ten weeks on the chart. So many of the lyrics are simply adorable, especially the 'refrigerator light' line. Only Taylor could make something so simple feel so romantic. She really is good at making simple relationships sound like they were five-year relationships, which just makes the heartbreak seem so much more real. Oh yeah, she still has four songs charting higher than this, most of which are still on my chart as well. What a slay machine. Peak: #3 Weeks: 10 #64 Carly Rae Jepsen - This KissThis is a single that definitely did not deserve to flop after terrible songs like the previous first two singles were hits. Of course I guess I will have to accept it since they haven't released any more singles and I can hope that her career is over. Still, this was a very cute song and seemed so innocent and fun (except for the fact that it's being sung by her and her age makes it seem awkward). Regardless, this song really did do everything right and I don't mind saying I enjoy it! There are still two more tracks from her up and coming! Peak: #4 Weeks: 9 #63 B.o.B. - So GoodThis was pretty much the only thing on Strange Clouds that sounded good, and it was quite good actually! I would have loved to see it make more impact, but the era as a whole was poor so I guess it isn't too much of a loss. The chorus to this one is really catchy and really gets you hooked. I also quite enjoy the lyrics in the verses, especially right at the beginning. It's a really good intro the song that sets the pace. This is his only entry. Peak: #4 Weeks: 11 #62 Ellie Goulding - LightsThis song managed to get two chart runs in this year, as it proved to be catchy enough to re-chart and get a higher chart peak! Originally it just did mediocre, but the second time around it did great. Overall it had a modest chart run I'd say. This is a good song, but not something that really needed to be huge. It was still a good variance for CHR/Pop though, so that's always good. This is her only entry. Peak: #6 Weeks: 17 #61 P!nk - S!@# Like YouThe bridge really makes this song. The rest of the song isn't too catchy nor is it too unlistenable. The song ended up having a low-peak with longevity chart run. The song was still on my chart at the end of 2012, but it's pretty much over. The bridge can only carry the song so far. I am actually interested to hear what a radio edit like this one would sound, but I don't really want it to become a single. P!nk has four songs charting higher than this one, which says a lot for her power to create really good music. Peak: #13 Weeks: 15 Audio Snippets

Haven't heard "Double Vision" in so long, but I once liked it. Yay for "Troublemaker", "Headlines" and "This Kiss". I agree about "Lights".

Radio Filler #60-51#60 P!nk - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)A good lead single from P!nk! This one was pretty fun, although it definitely isn't anywhere near being the highlight of the album. Still this was a good, albeit safe, lead single for her and got the job done. It definitely seems to be a classic P!nk song. The eyes on fire part is really the best, so it's unfortunate that it happens so early in the song. The verses are very good! The "s!@# day" part is the weakest. She has three songs that outrank this one, so stay tuned for those! Peak: #3 Weeks: 12 #59 Katy Perry - Wide AwakeThis song lasted a surprisingly long time. It was one of those Katy Perry songs that doesn't do too much for me, but it still had the amazing longevity that all Katy Perry songs tend to have for me. This is the only single from the Teenage Dream era that failed to make the top ten. But it still proved to have a solid chart run! The ending to this song is definitely the best part. Actually the music video is really the best part of the song; it's just so amazing and flawless! Katy Perry actually has two songs that rank higher than this one, what will they be?! Peak: #12 Weeks: 17 #58 3OH!3 - We Are YoungAnd now we have reached the much better We Are Young (I'm comparing to the one that was ranked already obviously). Once again I revisited Streets Of Gold this year and realised that the album was amazing. This was one of the quick highlights and it made a good splash on my chart. I really like the verses and the chorus makes it seem like the anthem of a generation! This is only the second highest entry though, what song from them was the biggest hit this year? Peak: #3 Weeks: 13 #57 Carly Rae Jepsen - DriveThe beginning of this song is really the best part. But overall the song is just really good. I really like the chorus here, and it just comes off as a fun bubblegum pop song. This song had a fast rise, fast fall; but it did garner a bunch of points to chart well. Not to mention it was competing with a bunch of other Carly Rae Jepsen tracks at the same time which causes them all to drain on me quickly. This is her second highest ranking song. What will be her highest song of the year? Peak: #5 Weeks: 9 #56 Flo Rida - Run ft. RedFooGasp, did Flo Rida really miss the top 50 with this song?! Yes, unfortunately he did. But he only has himself to blame. You see, this replaced Whistle at #1 on my chart and Whistle didn't really like that. So Whistle choked and killed this song and went back to #1. Still, this was another massive success for Flo Rida, #1 is nothing to scoff at. Although this is the only #1 song this year that missed the Top 40 with a full chart run (meaning without it due to being split between chart years). I really love all parts of this song, the chorus, Flo's verse, and RedFoo's rap. Still this is only his fifth-highest ranking song; he still has four more flawless Flo Rida smashes to go through. Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 9 #55 Linkin Park - Burn It DownThis is of course, a weak lead single from Linkin Park. They are very good at picking weak lead singles in my opinion. This being a weak lead single doesn't mean it's a bad song though! This was actually quite a good song. Although it still managed to get outranked by a whopping three other Linkin Park songs this year. Mike's rap here is really the highlight and helps bolster the song where it definitely needs it. Peak: #3 Weeks: 12 #54 Neon Trees - Everybody TalksThis song took a little while to catch on for me, but when it did it did so in a big way! This ended up being a very good hit for me and I really love the music video actually. The song and video are just so fun and quirky, I love them. Neon Trees is really a band I've never had any interest in, but this year they managed to grow on me in a big way. You can expect another entry from them to outrank this song even. What will it be? Peak: #3 Weeks: 14 #53 Christina Aguilera - Your BodyHere is a longevity winner. This song didn't have a massive peak, but it managed to last for a long time. It sounds good one week, but then boring the next, but then good again. The song was never something I was obsessed with, but it's very listenable! Even though I personally hate Christina Aguilera (like most of Pulse), I will always give her songs a fair chance, and this song nearly made the upper half of this chart! Proving she can do a good song and fun video if she tries. This is her only entry though. Peak: #14 Weeks: 14 #52 Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back TogetherThe album release ended up helping this song gain some longevity with me. I never was really into this song, but it's still a very nice pop song that I have no objections too. And although other Taylor tracks did help me keep listening to this and bolstering its longevity, they also helped prevent it from really catching on as I was obsessing with them instead. She has a whopping three songs outranking this one, which is great considering they all have their chart runs cut short by the year-end mark. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them impact the 2013 chart! Peak: #12 Weeks: 14 #51 DJ McFly - 2011: The AftermashThis was easily the best year-end mash-up from last year. It's truly unfortunate it missed the top half of the chart by a mere one position, but that can be best attributed to it losing some weeks from last year. This is really a flawless mash-up, and really helped to showcase 2011 as a year. I was checking for him to release a new mash-up this year, but sadly none. Luckily DJ Drybones made an amazing mash-up for 2012 that will definitely be impacting the 2013 chart even though it lost some major weeks this year. Peak: #5 Weeks: 11 (2 weeks of the 11 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #207 on the 2011 chartAudio Snippets

Love "Blow Me"! I agree with most of the commentary. Surprised to see "Wide Awake" on here as I didn't think you liked it much. "Drive" is awesome! "Burn It Down" and "Everybody Talks" are good. "Your Body" grew on me. "We Are Never Ever" is great.

Radio Smashes #50-41#50 Taylor Swift - Begin AgainYou pull my chair out and help me in\And you don't know how nice that is\But I doAnd we kick off the top half of the chart with this wonderful country ballad by Taylor Swift. It took a little while to grow on me, but eventually it proved to be a great track that I now love! Taylor really shows her vulnerability in her vocals on this track and it really pays off. The lyrics are sweet and endearing as well. This song is still charting, having had it's chart life cut by a the sharp knife of the year ending. It may make the 2013 chart next year, but I don't feel I'll hold onto it long enough. There are still two more Slaylor Swift tracks up and coming! Peak: #2 Weeks: 10 #49 Nicki Minaj - Whip ItIf we could be, stranger what you say?\I'm really liking that way\You whip it whip it whip it whip itA fun track from Nicki Minaj. This was actually the first track that caught on for me from the pop side of the album. The song definitely has an awkward structure that leaves a lot to be desired for some, but that didn't slow it down too much. It had a relatively fast rise and fall, but it clung on long enough to last for twelve weeks and rank here! Of course, there are still an insane four Nicki Minaj tracks above this one! Peak: #4 Weeks: 12 #48 Taylor Swift - 22It feels like one of those nights\We ditch the whole scene\It feels like one of those nights\We won't be sleepingGasp, those Slaylor Swift tracks are just dropping like flies aren't they? Of course, that's more to blame for the timing of her album release than the success of her songs. This is a song I definitely see carrying over well into the next year and I would not be surprised to see this make the year-end list for 2013. Funnily enough, this song and Begin Again have the same basic stats, a peak at #2 and 10 weeks on. That is of course because they both debuted at the same time on my chart when the album was released and because they both were blocked from the top position by the same song! However their similarities in chart runs will likely subside for 2013. This is her second highest rank song this year; what will be her highest entry and where will it land? Peak: #2 Weeks: 10 #47 3OH!3 - See You GoWe're all alone\I find your lips\Take me home for a goodnight kissYet another song that peaked at #2; songs did a good job of that this year. There are 22 #1 hits in the top 50; and 12 #2 hits in the top 50. This is the highest ranking entry for 3OH!3 this year, and this is the Streets Of Gold track that I didn't even remember from 2010 but fell in love with in 2012. This is really just a classic 3OH!3 song; the vocals, the structure, the lyrics, and the instrumental. They are exactly what you'd expect from the band and it's all executed so well! I would still rank it below R.I.P. overall; as that song caught my attention then and then caught it again. Peak: #2 Weeks: 13 #46 P!nk - Walk Of ShameAnd I look like a hot ass mess\Although my hair looks good\'cause I haven't slept yet. This track lingered for a little while for me, then managed to gain a lot of traction and become a hit for me. It's still charting as of the end of 2012, but definitely won't be lasting much longer. Still, this was a good hit for P!nk on my personal chart. The lyrics and fun and very her. She took a negative concept and turned it into something much more fun. P!nk still has two more tracks upcoming, what and where will they be? Peak: #7 Weeks: 14 #45 P!nk - Just Give Me A Reason ft. Nate RuessI'm sorry I don't understand\Where all of this is coming from\I thought that we were fineForget Slaylor dropping tracks like flies, it looks like P!nk is running out of juice too! This is the second highest ranking track for P!nk this year, and it is very deserving. The song only lasted for a short while, but that was mostly because it was the first track to really catch steam and then was dropped as I listening to other P!nk songs. However, this is very much a track where there is a high likelihood that I will re-chart it later; consider it a break for now. The song was a quick hit, peaking in the runner-up position on my chart. I must say that it really is Nate Ruess that shines on this track, although that makes sense as the instrumental seems tailor-made for him. So if this wasn't the highest track for P!nk, what was? And how far did she manage to get? Peak: #2 Weeks: 11 #44 Nicki Minaj - Roman HolidayTake your medication, Roman\Take a short vacation, Roman\You'll be okayAnd the Nicki songs just keep on coming. Will any of them reach the top 40 at the rate they are appearing?! This is Nicki's fourth highest song on the list, and it's one of her best bester bestest songs evar. Totally a guilty pleasure here, I loved this from the moment I heard it in her live performance! That was a great performance of course! This song is criminally underrated, it slays everything and gives me life. It's not something I can really spam, so it didn't stay in the top ten for too long, but it did linger for a long time! What Nicki tracks could have possibly outdone this flawless song? Peak: #7 Weeks: 18 #43 Nicki Minaj - Pound The AlarmSexy, sexy that's all I do\If you need a bad bitch\Let me call a fewWhelp, forget Slaylor and O!nk peaking with two songs in the top half of the chart already; because Nicki is working overtime to outdo them with three songs peaking in this range. Still, this is another great Nicki Minaj song; although I would not have made it the second single. The song is really the night-version of Starships tb h. Day and night, night and day, whatever Kid CuDi stuff. Still, the song manages to stand up well enough on its own to make it here; lasting for quite some time with a good peak. Still Nicki Minaj still has two more tracks upcoming, let's hope they aren't the next two songs though! Peak: #7 Weeks: 17 #42 Flo Rida - Good FeelingPull me, grab me, crabs in the bucket can't have me\I'll be the president one day\January first, oh, you like that gossipYes, you read that right. This song was my #5 Top Flop last year; and only Flo Rida (King Of Pop, President Of The World, Our Lord And Saviour, etc...) could redeem himself from such a title and get a smash with the same song. And that's what he did! He turned a song with only four weeks of charting and a peak of #29 into a massive 20+ week smash that managed to claw up to into the top 10! The song re-charted after its initial flopping, thanks to Wild Ones helping me warm up to this enough. This is actually only one of two songs to peak at #10 and make the top 50; and weirdly enough #9 is the only number unaccounted for when it comes to the peaks of songs in the top 50. So now that one Flo Rida song has fallen; how long until the other three meet the same fate? Peak: #10 Weeks: 28 (4 weeks of the 28 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) Top Flop #5 on the 2011 chart#41 Ke$ha - Die YoungTake my hand, I'll show you the wild, side\Like it's the last night of our lives\We'll keep dancing till we dieGasp, it the same song! How appropriate that it would end up right next to the song which it is basically a clone of? Still, Ke$ha managed to add her own unique flavour to the song thanks to her knack for writing infectious hooks. Still, this song was a fast rise, and fast fall. However it stayed up high for a little while, helping it get a good chart position on this ranking. I would not have made this song the lead single though, as there are many more enjoyable tracks. I don't feel I'd have been as into this song as I was if the whole album was released at the same time. This is her highest entry; and that's mostly thanks to her late album release. She is sure to have more tracks impacting next year. Peak: #2 Weeks: 10 Audio Snippets

Radio Smashes #40-31#40 PSY (싸이) - Never Say Goodbye ft. Yoon Do Hyun (윤도현)Never say goodbye\영원한 건 없기에 \영원한 이별도 없는 거야Never say goodbye\Because nothing is forever\There’s no such thing as an eternal goodbyeAnd we start off the top forty with an amazing song! This song took a little bit to grow on me, but it actually became my favourite album track from the EP! The lyrics are beautiful, and the vocals match their beauty easily transcending the language barrier. The song is more of a power ballad with some rockier elements to it. It's really a great song! Both PSY and Yoon Do Hyun deliver with this collaboration. If you're looking for another PSY song to check out, this is really what I would recommend! It was still charting at the end of 2012, but any 2013 charting is bound to be minimal. There is one other track by PSY that places higher. What is it and just how high is it? Peak: #8 Weeks: 17 #39 Skrillex - Bangarang ft. SirahThey say I lost my marbles\But I got these beats banging out the back of my toy car\Aye yo I'm eating fun-dip right nowSkrillex's only entry on my chart, and the only song by I him I've ever charted. I have listened to quite a few of his songs, but this is the only one that sounds listenable to me. In fact it proved to be super-listenable, making it all the way up to #2 on my chart! The was of course not a song I could spam for too long and it ended up burning out on me. However I've had no troubles revisiting it, it always sounds so fresh and fun! I really love what Skrillex did with this track and would have loved for it to have some big mainstream success. The video is really good as well! Peak: #2 Weeks: 12 #38 Matt And Kim - Let's GoI bought a megaphone\To use inside your home\Forgot the batteriesTake what a said in the first few sentences about Bangarang and apply it here. I've listening to Matt And Kim before and never been impressed, but then came this and it really connected with me this go around. This is their only entry and it actually managed to make it all the way up to #1 on my chart and nabbed two weeks! But like the previous track, it was a fast rise and a fast burn. It hasn't help up as Bangarang on subsequent listens, but it was still a great track for me for a while. The video is silly. Peak: #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 13 #37 Cher Lloyd - Want U BackOh I thought you'd still be mine\When I kissed you goodbye\And you might be with herThis track came off as really stupid the first time I heard it. I didn't like it and thought it would flop. Then it started to take off and at some point it managed to click with me. It raced all the way up to #2 on my chart and was near the top for a while. Then it burnt and crashed as expected for a type of pure-pop gimmicky song like this one. The urghs can only remain infectious for song long. Despite that, it can be easily revisited and the video is cute! I don't mean the video with Astro which is terrible (along with his feature on the song too). I did end up charting a few other Cher LLoyd tracks, but none made as big of an impact as this one and this is her sole entry. Peak: #2 Weeks: 13 #36 Flo Rida - Wild Ones ft. SiaAll black shades when the sun come through\Oh it's on like everything goes\Round up baby 'til the freaky showAnother track from your King Of Music And All Things Good. Flo Rida really puts out a hot track here! And Sia is okay too I guess! But really Flo Rida hits the mark here. His verses are fire and I really love how he sings the bridge. The instrumental for this came off as fresh and fun as well. This song only missed out on one week, but unfortunately that one week happened to be a massive debut week. Had that single week been in this year, this song would be a whopping seven slots higher. It's alright of course, as Flo Rida still has two more smashing coming up. How high did they make it?! Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 20 (1 week of the 20 was spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #211 on the 2011 chart#35 Katy Perry - Dressin' UpBeads of sweat drip down your neck\Breathing deep gaining speed about to peak\Trembling trembling tremblingA super hot and spicy track from the wonderful Katy Perry here. I never cared for the demo much, but the final product was amazing. I fell in love with this one instantly and it raced up to the top of my chart, managing to peak at a modest #2 position. The song had decent longevity and overall is another memorable track from Katy Perry. I would have liked to see this get the single treatment, but I understand why they took a step back from this one. Katy Perry still has another flawless track up and coming as well. Where will it be?! Peak: #2 Weeks: 15 #34 One Direction - Up All NightI'm only thinking 'bout this girl I'm seeing\I hope she'll wanna kiss me back\Up up up all nightThis is my Katy Perry fan-song right here! I'm so happy that One Direction gave us the Katy Perry fan anthem and recognise true talent. This song is fun and such! I don't know much else to say other than the Katy Perry hook is what hooked me with this song and if it wasn't in there this probably wouldn't have performed as well as it did! It probably would have performed around the same as One Thing did. Decent song made much better by good lyrics! This is their highest entry, they did very well! Peak: #5 Weeks: 15 #33 Chris Brown - Turn Up The MusicFill your cup and drink it down\If you sexy and you know it\Put your hands up in the airMuch like the previous song, this song's success was driven by a line which nodded to LMFAO. The sexy and you know it line really was a guilty pleasure here and the highlight of this song. The rest of the song is decent and listenable, but that line just makes it so much fun! I didn't care for the Rihanna version and don't even remember how her part went! Oh well, he made it all the way up to #2 with a fast rise and fall, so I'm sure he's not complaining. This is the second highest entry for Chris Brown on this list; what possibly could have charted higher? Peak: #2 Weeks: 12 #32 Tyga - Rack CityGot my shirt off the club too packed\It's too turned going up like gas\God damn pulled out my racksWhile this couldn't make it near the tip-top of my chart, it definitely made it high and had huge longevity. So here we are with an awesome beat and as-you'd-expect vocals. But that's all you really need with an awesome beat and ridiculous lyrics that are so much fun to sing along to! This song is always one that can be easily tossed into a good rap mix. This is of course his only entry, but it made a big impact! Peak: #6 Weeks: 21 #31 Jay-Z & Kanye West - N!@#$% In ParisY’all don’t know that don’t shit phase me\The Nets could go 0 for 82\And I look at you like this shit gravyOne of the anthems of our generation t bh. This song just slays everything. The beat is killer, and Jay-Z and Kanye both give their best here. The epic mix-ups in this song especially at the end just solidifies how amazing this song is. This song is literally like the perfect example of a song having its chart run split between two years. It's smashing was in 2011 and its longevity was in 2012. Last year it ranked at #31...the same as this year. If you put its entire run in 2011; it would have been my #5 song that year. If you put its entire run in 2012; it would have been my #5 song this year. So yeah, it was really big, just split. Peak: #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 37 (11 weeks of the 37 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart) #31 on the 2011 chartAudio Snippets

Mostly good. I don't know the Psy song though, "Rack City" is annoying, and I can't stand the Matt and Kim song Expected "Wild Ones" to be higher :O

Radio Smashes #30-26#30 Carly Rae Jepsen - CuriosityI can't stand the way you're smiling\I can't stand the way I'm lying\I know I know I know you got the keyWhat an amazing song by the terrible Ms. Carly Rae Jepsen. Both the original and the revamped version of this song are great. I can listen to them interchangeably. This is really one of her best songs if not her best. I also really liked the music video even though it is gone from youtube forever; luckily it's on vimeo. The music video really does its job well and I don't find it too cheesy or anything. Overall this song is just a really strong song. Personally I don't feel it would smash on radio at all; but it's definitely one of those easy album gems. This is her highest entry, and she got all the way into the top 30, great for her! Peak: #5 Weeks: 15 #29 Taio Cruz - TroublemakerI saw when you arrived\Looking like a supermodel\Your ass from the side looks just like a coke bottleAfter slaying my charts in 2010 and 2011, Taio Cruz returns to my year-end charts one again with this awesome smash! It's no secret that I adore Flo Rida; but it's also no secret that I adore Taio Cruz just as much. Most people don't notice simply because Taio doesn't put out as many smash hits here in the US. Still, this song is amazing! It was his whopping fourth #1 on my chart, following Dynamite, Higher, and Hangover. All of which are awesome. I wasn't sure what to think of this one at first, but I ended up quickly falling in love with it. It might have burnt quickly, but it made a huge impact while it was charting. This is his highest entry this year, and if he keeps putting out amazing material, I can't see him being absent from the 2013 year-end countdown. Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 12 #28 Nicki Minaj - Va Va VoomLet me feel up on your chest\Flexing you the man\You the man 100 grandWe haven't seen a Nicki track in a little while, but here she is again with her second highest entry this year. This song absolutely did not catch on to me initially at all. I didn't have any interest in it. Then after her other album tracks started smashing, this one caught on and proved to be bigger than the rest of them. When I saw it had been made a single I was very pleased! While the song didn't make it to the top of my chart, it still had a very big impact hence its placement here. The video leaves a lot to be desired, but that's why Nicki herself didn't even like it. She has one more entry, what will it be and how high will it be? Peak: #3 Weeks: 17 #27 P!nk - TimebombMatchsticks and poison\That's what I add to the fire\My dear I'm frozen turned from a saint to a liarAnd now we say goodbye to P!nk with her last entry on my personal chart countdown this year. She managed to make quick the impact with this song. Initially it was just good, then it was great, then it was amazing and flawless. Certainly a grower here. She really kills it with the lyrics to the verses. As always she delivers strong and stunning vocals with a solid instrumental track supporting her. Really this is one of the best P!nk tracks to come along in quite some time. I would have loved for this song to have been the lead single from the album, as I believe it could have made some serious impact. Peak: #6 Weeks: 15 #26 Justin Bieber - As Long As You Love Me ft. Big SeanBut I'd rather work on this with you\Than to go ahead and start with someone new\As long as you love meAs we finish the 'smashes' section; we finish with the highest song that did not get a single-digit peak. This song "only" managed to get a top 10 peak. Despite the low peak, this song had amazing longevity, and really managed to stay strong. I don't know why this song couldn't make the push further up onto my chart, but looking at what was keeping it out, I can see it really was just one of those back-burner songs. Still, being a back-burner song is fine if you have massive longevity and beat everything else out in the end. The tortoise can overcome the hare when it plays its hand right. Both Justin and Big Sean do amazing on this track. I would not be surprised if in the future this becomes a classic Justin Bieber track that everyone looks back upon fondly and are shocked to find out how it peaked on the Hot 100. Justin does have one other track higher though, what and where will it be?! Peak: #10 Weeks: 22 Radio Hits #25-21And now we reach the portion of my chart which is truly competitive. From now on, there are a whopping eighteen songs which hit #1 on my chart in this top 25 section. Couple that with three #2s, three #3s, and a single #4 song, and you can tell that my chart points really do accurately reflect what the big hits are. #25 Linkin Park - Lies Greed MiseryI wanna see you choke on your lies\Swallow up your greed\Suffer all alone in your miseryLinkin Park comes out the big winner here, being the act with the most songs in this section. This hardcore rap-rock track kicks things off, and was one of the their #1 songs this year. This song came out as a promo single, and I didn't like it. Then I listened to the album and this song ended up clicking with me in a major. The song managed to push its way to the top of my chart, and despite some longevity problems, it really did have a big run on my chart. The song just hits hard and really takes you back to the core reason of why Linkin Park is just so amazing of a band (and my favourite band forever and always). The wonderful blending of rap and rock into such a short track (in fact it's the shortest track to ever reach #1 on my chart, clocking in at a brisk 2:27) shows their musical power and talent. Everything about this song is great. They will have two more tracks appear even higher, both of which were also #1 smashes on my chart. How high did they manage? Peak: #1 (1 Week) Weeks: 14 #24 Maroon 5 - Payphone ft. Wiz KhalifaI’ve wasted my nights\You turned out the lights\Now I’m paralyzed still stuck in that timeWhat a great song! After really disliking Moves Like Jagger, I was so delighted to receive such a nice song from Maroon 5. This song just has a ton going for it. It really is one of Adam Levine's best. It's unfortunate they had to follow it with that terrible, terrible One More Night song. This is their highest ranking song, so no worries about having to see that other flop on here. Wiz Khalifa kills it here and his verse just keeps the song fresh and pumping. The lyrics here are endearing, with strong vocals, and an awesome beat. There's just a lot going for this song. It's crazy to see that this only peaked at #4, but when looking back at what was ahead of it, I understand. The three weeks this song spent at #4 were all behind three songs that went #1 themselves. The competition was fierce and all of those songs outrank this one, so no redemption here. Still, this song is great and had good longevity. Peak: #4 Weeks: 20 #23 Rihanna - Birthday Cake (Extended Mix) ft. Chris BrownBut I wanna lick the icing off\Give it to her in the worst way\Can’t wait to blow her candles outThis song originally was charting at the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 as a mere album track. It was getting a modest run for a track that was so short and incomplete. It was no surprise that once a finalized version was let out, the song slammed back onto my chart and raced to the top of the chart. Despite all of the controversy over this song, I simply chose to ignore the personalities behind the song and instead just chose to enjoy the song for the hot track it was. Both Rihanna and Chris Brown do their portions amazingly on here and keep this track on fire. This is Chris Brown's highest entry, and this is the second highest entry for Rihanna. Just what is that other song of her's she has lying in wait and when will we get to see it? Peak: #2 Weeks: 26 (6 weeks of the 26 were spent in 2011 and not counted towards the 2012 chart.) #178 on the 2011 chart#22 Avicii - LE7ELSOh sometimes\I get a good feeling\Yeah I get a feeling that I never never never never had before no no So this song played a nice part in helping Good Feeling go from a 2011 flop to a 2012 smash; and it's no surprise that this ended up outranking that track. This song is pure electronica bliss all on its own. No rapping or singing needed, apart from the minor part near the bridge. The video for this is fun and very goofy, which I am completely fine with! I hope more songs like this are released and see success on CHR/Pop radio, which may be a good possibility in the future. I prefer this stylization over just 'Levels' which I feel doesn't suit the song well. This is the highest entry for Avicii of course, and what a smash it was almost topping my chart and having solid longevity. Peak: #2 Weeks: 16 #21 Wallpaper. - F!@#$%^ Best Song EverrrMamacita te necesito soy ebrio\That's all the words I know\Margaritas and microwave pizzas I gotta tell yaAnd one of those songs where I end up being the only person on the site and possibility in the world who was rooting for this song to breakthrough and absolutely smash and dominate everything. This song ended up topping my chart for not one but two weeks; which is very good for what this song is. Many consider it a garbage novelty, but I see this epic track for the smash that it is. So many good things here, I just adore the tongue-in-cheek lyrics. The instrumental sounds as if it had completely no chance of being bearable, and just I fell in love with it. The vocals are whatever, they play out the lyrics just as they are meant to be. The video is hilarious. This is the highest entry for Wallpaper. and it definitely made a big splash this year.
