I'd support A Great Big World being next month's new album. Tracy Chapman sounds good for an older one too.

I would give Tracy Chapman's album my seal of approval! I'd also suggest perhaps doing Carole King's Tapestry at some point. In terms of the new music, I have no clue, so will look forward to listening to/trying out the new album of the month. :)

Yeah, I think Tracy Chapman is the universal "older choice" for this month. Kurt how are we going to go about this? Lol

Sorry, been busy with pit orchestra but it's done now - I'll try to make sure to have this up today. In order to ensure genre diversity, I think I'm just going to pick from our list rather than doing a poll.

These are all the nominees I'll be posting until something really awesome gets released in the non-diva realm:
*Second Dam, Swimming (best album ever by an unknown, unsigned college band? probably) *Neutral Milk Hotel, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea *Regina Spektor, Begin to Hope *Tegan and Sara, The Con *Laura Marling, I Speak Because I Can *Nirvana, Nevermind *The Decemberists, The Hazards of Love (It's not the best introduction to the band, but it's a rock opera, so how cool is that?) *Natalie Maines, Mother (The Pink Floyd cover alone is enough to get some interesting and opposite opinions) *Vampire Weekend, Modern Vampires of the City
Finally, Tusk was getting mentioned left and right last year, and never got used. Let's try that one soon.
