I don't see any single reviving the album at this point.

This thread is hilarious. I'm reading these replies and y'all are saying the same thing I said a year ago. This album been DEAD.
This album had a great concept and could have made Jen more youthful had she have gotten the right producers who were willing to make that happen. She wasted her money on the Pharrell and Timbaland songs, they did her a huge disservice. Hell do they even like her? Because their songs for her are so bland and Jen isn't a charismatic singer to spit polish mess into gold. Jen needs producers who know how to utilize a big loud voice with no personality. I think R. Kelly has been the BEST producer Jen has worked with thus far. He is a GENIUS. (I've been playing a lot of his work for Kelly Price & Syleena Johnson recently.) DJ Terry Hunter gave Jen hands down her best uptempo and R. Kelly gave her a great assist. The label should have promoted the hell out of that with the UAC audience. I knew the song was hot when I heard my father (who is a 10x worse music critic than I am) playing his congas along to it and trying to learn R. Kelly's part so he can perform it with his band. LOL
Moan *in my Gladys Knight voice* "I've been waiting on you!" That is the ballad she should have done on I Remember Me. What a great tribute to her mom and she sung it with so much conviction. I also love Bring Back The Music, Jennifer sounds at home on these old gospel infused soul songs. I Still Love You is waiting to be remixed and sent to the gay clubs ala Deborah Cox. I don't remember anything else from this piss poor project so I'll stop there LOL.
Somebody said she should switch labels. If she went somewhere else, her music career would be D.O.A. No label is going to promote and work her like Clive Davis. End of.

Speaking of Deborah Cox, I see Jennifer's career going that direction. She'll probably become a club diva with the occasional Urban AC hit. I wouldn't be mad. Her voice is best suited for that kind of music anyway. I agree that "It's Your World" is the type of track she shines on.

"It's Your World" is nominated for the Best R&B Performance Grammy. I feel that her album should have been nominated as well. I'm glad for the "It's Your World" nomination, that song was and is the s**t. This is still Jennifer's best album to me. Every song was good, except "Bring Back The Music" which I don't use.

It's a bit disappointing because I feel that Jennifer is somewhat stuck in her career. Her acting career is not taking off like I thought it would. Her music trajectory has stalled a bit. However, I still think there is a niche for her (Broadway; a classics/Adult Contemporary CD).

She still feels like she's huge in the industry. Maybe it's because people will always want to here her sing and she does normally do a great tribute??? Has she done any acting roles lately that has done well commercially.

Gorgon City - Go All Night (feat. Jennifer Hudson) is #6 on UK iTunes! I'm not sure if it'll be able to go top 10 on the official chart though unless its streaming really picks up (it was just released to spotify today). Fingers crossed it'll be able to go top 10!

She was singing him under the table, lol. And you could tell she was holding back to let him shine.
So GLAD "IYW" got a Grammy nomination. It's such an awesome track.

Regardless of sales, there will always be a niche for her when it comes to live performances. Vocally she just takes it there! She's always called to perform at many events/venues over more established artists.

Debuting on Broadway! She'll be playing Shug Avery in "The Color Purple" revival. She's coming for that EGOT.

It really couldn't have hurt to release He Ain't Goin' Nowhere and do some cross promo while Iggy's available.

I feel that she should have won the Grammy for R&B Performance. The industry has reached a sad state when the same artists win certain categories when they aren't always deserving of such an accomplishment.

Yeah, her vocals on that particular nominated song were incredible. For a second I thought she had been nominated for "Walk it Out" (since they used the video clip) but then I remembered it was for "It's Your World."

They are left over Timbaland tracks that she record for "JHUD" and will be using them for her appearance on Empire

Anyone hear the new song for OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) yet? It's called "You Will" and it's a duet with Jennifer Nettles. It should be on iTunes tonight, if someone finds it, please post a link!

"Whatever Makes You Happy" is cute! I've been bopping to on the way to work a lot lately.
I have enjoyed seeing Iggy and Jennifer promote "Trouble" over the last two months. Ever since American Idol, I remember Jennifer being sassy and having a great voice, but her stage presence has grown even further. The energy she's given me in these performances are what I live for!

Does anyone know total sales of JHUD? 65-70k max. RCA should've at least tried to cross-promote her collabo with Iggy while they were out promoting Trouble everywhere. Not saying it would've done much good but I feel it was a missed opportunity.
