I've been on by beyonce
was this already released as a single ?
she won't have it easy to land a hit nowadays, soul+ hip hop at this moment rare and not so updated on the hot 100
bruno mars + rihanna+ justin timberlake are not classical rnb acts more pop
i mean the times when 50cent+ jay z + brandy+ mariah etc ruled the hot 100 are past
im so happy that america now shows taste
Alicia keys (in my eyes the best and last rnb singer ) showed success with Girl on fire as it was an outstanding song

No, it's not a single. She released it for free on her website and some radio stations have decided to play it.

Here is my Top 5 prediction. 1. Thrift Shop 2. Suit & Tie 3. When I Was Your Man 4. Stay 5. Just Give Me A Reason I agree, although I think Harlem Shake will still be in the top 5. Maybe #4 or something. It's such a good chart though. A hip hop song, an R&B song, and three ballads!! WHO would've expected this possible a couple of years ago? :o I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say the chart is the most varied its been in years. Both pop radio and the overall Hot 100. :) 2008-2011 were quite a dark era for mainstream music imo. LMFAO, Pitbull, Flo Rida domination lol.

Flo Rida just had 4 top 10 hits (3 of which were top 20 year end), and Pitbull is currently top 10 aswell. ??? Gaga, Katy and Britney are coming out with new high profile dance music soon so enjoy it while it lasts.

here is already saturday night why still don't have any friday's update Because, honestly, airplay just isn't as important as it was pre-Harlem Shake, I mean, Youtube added to formula. The number of ppl visiting airplay thread has dropped. I used to check every day. Now, it's a couple of times a week.

1. Thrift Shop 2. When I Was Your Man 3. Suit & Tie 4. Harlem Shake 5. Stay
I see Bruno taking #1 if not next week, the week after with the Ellen performance coming. S&T and Harlem Shake will fall, and Stay might manage to return to its original #3 peak. If JGMAR slows down, Stay could reach a new peak of #2 eventually. #1 is a long shot, but not necessarily out of the question.

Because BCharts looks dead, here's Kworb's update for yesterday. Because Kworb's updates are slightly different from the normal updates the + and - won't make sense if you compare it to Thursday's update.

Lean Back and Grillz are great songs! They represented the era quite well imo, quality-wise too. There were many many worse songs around at that time.

wow, NEVER would've expected so many people to rush to the defense of those three monstrosities :o of course, those are just a few of the many many insufferable smash hits I endured during hip-hop domination. let's not forget gems like: - "Right Thurr" - "Laffy Taffy" - "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" - "It's Goin Down" - "Shoulder Lean" (clearly leaning was all the rage...) I mean...pick your poison...but I can't imagine radio ever sinking as low as it did during that hip-hop domination phase, IMO.

And It's Goin' Down, I still listen to it frequently these days
There have always been couple of sounds that are current at a time and all sounds have their own little gems.
Can anyone honestly diss Ciara's Goodies for example? Or Usher's Yeah?

The HOt 100 becoming more diverse could be the result of BB including digital downloads and streaming. People consume music in a variety of ways. In the 2001-04 years radio airplay determined chart placement. If that was the case today "Radioactive" would likely not even be on the chart. Instead it could enter the top 10 this week.
