I really love "Q.U.E.E.N." and "Dance Apocalyptic." The videos are really good. Is that a negative reaction? Unless they are planning to push the current single and maybe another one when that one is done fairly hard, any buzz and hype that has been generated and built up will be over by then. The release date is basically 9-10 weeks away. This. It seems too far out; the album should drop early August at the latest if you ask me.

I saw that the other day but with no tracklisting yet I'm skeptical. They've had "exclusive" deluxe versions before where they have the physical deluxe exclusive but digital has deluxe as well.

I've somehow missed "Dance Apocalyptic" until now...I LOVE it. I like "Q.U.E.E.N." well enough, but this is what I was waiting for from her. Can't wait for her album.

"Dance Apocalyptic" is so darn good. It's the first song I've heard from her that I actually bop to. Love it.

That is a beautiful album cover. I feel like I've seen it before though.

A nineteen-track album?! My first thought: oh, that's gonna be expensive; my second: definitely looking forward to this!! Killer set of collaborations too.

Great cover. And judging by the sticker, Primetime is probably the next single.

So the album after this will haves Suites VI and VII? According to the bottom of the cover?
Cannot wait for this. A Janelle/Miguel collab sounds perfect!

A nineteen-track album?! My first thought: oh, that's gonna be expensive; It's also a double disc so that could hike up the physical price, but her albums are usually cheap. The Archandroid has 18 tracks and the regular price is $9.99 The cover is very 80's. I like it.

Killer set of collaborations too. 20 songs but yeah, I can't wait, based on those collabs and I'm sure they will find a way to keep it at a marketable price. No one is going to pay $15 dollars for a Janelle Monae CD.

Will sales be counted twice for RIAA purposes since it's a double disc?

Will sales be counted twice for RIAA purposes since it's a double disc? Only if the length is 100 minutes+.

Apparently (I don't know, maybe you all think it's obvious but I didn't, haha) those covers were not photographed or done digitally, but painted...whoa.

The covers were painted (not sure if digital or oil medium). The artist Sam Spratt is one of my favorites. I love his work much... Though I am extremely jealous as an art guy myself.

The standard edition looks a lot more like a painting. Awesome stuff. She is such a cool artist.
