The numbers for Buble are great. The album will probably steadily sell over the next few weeks. There is no difference from selling 1 million copies in the first week or 1 million copies over the course of 10 weeks. Actually, the difference is the latter is much better. Your album is stable and visible on the charts for weeks/months and is great for promotion. People need to understand numbers and how things works based on singles and the time the albums are released. To make a "long story short" the numbers from Buble are perfect. The label is more than satisfied and reached their expectations. Fantasia did great as well. Please. We do not need a lecture from you on how the charts work. The people who read the album sales threads each week know. Buble is not going to sell ~100k for the next 10 weeks. How do you know "the label is satisfied"??? You posted that less than 3 hours after the numbers were released. Buble is on Reprise which is part of Warner Bros. WBR is a disaster right now. Their artists keep leaving the label. Madonna, Metallica... Buble will fall next week to around ~80k and should receive a bump the following week due to Mother's Day gift buying.

Here's hoping Fantasia will cross that 100k mark! Regardless, amazing amount with no hit single and no promo till last week. Considering that her label has just served the 2nd single to Urban radios and that the song is a sure-fire SMASH, I can see this going gold still this year. Here's all my positivism to Miss Barrino, she really went HARD witht his record and I hope people give it a chance. It's too good to go unnoticed

Buble may or may not sell 100K for the next 10 weeks
Buble may or may not sell 80K next week
Nobody here has pinpoint accuracy
Most of Buble's catalog stands above 2 million per. 3 albums are charting this week alone. This suggests that the outlook for this one is just as good.

^Nobody has pinpoint accuracy, but we all have opinions.
For 2 million sold, it does not look good.
Crazy Love was released in the 4th Quarter of 2009. It sold over 1.2 million by the end of 2009.
PS: There are 36 sales weeks left in 2013.

Good - however, the current total for Crazy Love stands at 2.2 million
My comments were referring to the total life of the album and noting that all prior albums for Michael Buble have long life spans. There are not any indications that would suggest that this will be different.

YOUR MID-WEEKS: Michael Buble will debut at #1 on next week's album chart with a total greater than his previous non-holiday album, Crazy Love, which opened in October 2009 with 132k. Crazy Love was released on a Friday, however, so its total represents only the first three days of sales. With Mother's Day quickly approaching, Buble's latest is expected to stay on pace to match the three-week total of Crazy Love. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
* Michael Buble (Reprise) 150-170k * Fantasia (RCA) 85-95k Justin Timberlake (RCA) 60-65k * Phoenix (Glassnote) 45-50k Fall Out Boy (Island/IDJ) 40-45k Kid Cudi (Republic) 35-40k Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 35-40k * Rob Zombie (T-Boy/UMe) 27-32k Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Macklemore) 27-30k Lil Wayne (Young Money/Cash Money/Republic) 24-27k P!nk (RCA) 24-27k Bruno Mars (Atlantic) 24-27k The Band Perry (Republic Nashville) 22-25k Will.i.am (Interscope) 21-24k Imagine Dragons (Interscope) 19-21k Florida Georgia Line (Big Machine/Republic) 19-21k Brad Paisley (RCA Nashville) 18-20k * Snoop Lion (RCA) 17-19k

will.i.am album sucks donkey balls. every tune sounds old and been done million times before. he's out of ideas, and that dr. luke too. fantasia's # not bad though. does Buble have any radio hits this round? he got a hac hit last time which helped a a lot. but he's a big album seller anyway.

William could be a better album seller but dance music doesn't sell albums.
Pitbull is also a dance- single artist, but he marketed 'back in time'(which is a retro r&b track) as the first single of GW, and his album opened with 64,000K-his biggest debut in his career.

and his album opened with 64,000K-his biggest debut in his career. ... and roughly one fifth of the entire population of the US. Impressive.

Hahha, but in the long run 'Global warming' outsold warrior, Lotus, Wild ones, 18 and now Will Power.
So that achievement is historic for a single artist like Pitbull.
Songs like 'back in time' don't do well on the radio, but they sell albums which is the most important for the label.

I meant 18 month the album by Calvin Harris. The album is full of dance/radio hits, yet it opened really poorly in the States as well.

www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgiLOVED THE WORLD OVER: Notes our own I.B. Bad, whose latest column appears online tomorrow, Michael Buble's To Be Loved, which hit Tuesday, has all the earmarks of another potential international smash--just what the doctor ordered for long-struggling Warner Bros. Records, whose Cameron Strang is carrying out a new policy of prioritizing fewer releases and locking them in globally in an effort to turn the label around. The new record debuted with 121k in the U.K., breaking Justin Timberlake's first-week record for the year. To Be Loved is currently #1 on the iTunes chart. It's on track to bow at 150-175k domestically (per our resident numbers geek), and with Mother's Day looming could well match or exceed Crazy Love's three-week total of 437k. More changes are impending at WBR, meanwhile, as Strang continues to revamp the company. (4/25p) Truth or just damage control?

^I bet a WBR publicist called HITS to publish that story.
Matching CL's 437k after 3 weeks is probably not going to happen.

i honestly did not realize buble was the type of artist for whom anyone cared enough that damage control would be needed. his last non-holiday album was 3 1/2 years ago and in a stronger quarter so i didn't blink twice at his projected numbers this week, they seem decent enough to me. but admittedly, i never checked for him. i just know he's successful in his genre.

He is probably one of the more successful album sellers out there. I don't think there is an album yet that has not topped 2 million

How do have all this inside info? You are the one claiming to know how the label heads at Reprise feel about his first week sales.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/1559972/fantasia-phoenix-heading-for-top-five-on-billboard-200-chartFantasia, Phoenix Heading for Top Five on Billboard 200 Chart By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | April 26, 2013 Fantasia is heading for her third top 10 album, as "Side Effects Of You" is on course for a No. 2 bow next week on the Billboard 200 chart. The set, her fourth, could sell around 90,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on April 28, according to industry sources. It will mark the second No. 2 album for the 2004 "American Idol" winner, who saw her last release, 2010's "Back to Me," also debut and peak at No. 2. That effort bowed with 117,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As for the No. 1 slot next week, Michael Buble's "To Be Loved" seems to be a lock for a debut atop the list. It could shift perhaps 155,000 to 175,000 copies, garnering Buble his fourth No. 1 set. Elsewhere in the top 10 next week, look for alternative rock band Phoenix to start in the top five with its latest album, "Bankrupt!" It's the fifth studio release for the group, and it could start with a career-best sales week of 50,000. It will also be the act's highest charting album, surpassing the No. 37 peak of 2009's "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix."

Buble is very consistent with his sales, but his label does not keep his RIAA certs updated:
3.7 million It's Time 3xp 3.1 million Christmas - not certified 2.7 million Michael Buble 1xp 2.4 million Call Me Irresponsible 1xp 2.3 million Crazy Love 2xp 1.0 million Let It Snow - not certified
He also has With Love which is certified Gold. It was only sold at Hallmark stores so SS did not track it.
