Debuts at #28 in the UK! And Jameela seems to love it <3 I think the right term should be jump(s) because it was at #49 last week in the UK. See, I always forget the UK chart exists below #40. Sorry.

• Climbs to #33 on the Ireland Singles Chart :) iTunes peaks (July 26):#9 United Kingdom :o #27 Ireland #35 Australia #91 United Kingdom• It has been added on the A List of BBC Radio 1 Playlist. I guess this could be the reason why it has jumped so fast to the Top 10 on the UK iTunes. I personally wasn't expecting this as well. • I really hope it could stay there next week, so it could reach the Top 10 on the UK Singles Chart next week. I expect it could climb around #12 to #16 this week though.
"Thinking About You" acoustic performance. So amazing!

:Calvin Harris's AUS chart positions: (I think that's everything ) OMG! I <3 U even more :'( So flawless to see this. However, I have some questions/doubts: • Do you know why Australia didn't jump on "Ready for the Weekend" and "Merrymaking at My Place"? I find it weird that the former didn't chart there. • I also can't believe "Only the Horses" didn't do anything in Australia. I know it's a reharsh of "We Found Love"/"Let's Go", but I really like it. • I think you should add the Calvin Harris remix of Florence + the Machine's "Spectrum (Say My Name)". I know it's a remix, but he's credited as a producer as well
Up 14 to #14 in the UK!! Yay! Expected to see that. Next week, it should stay inside the Top 10 on the UK iTunes. Hope it could do though.

• Do you know why Australia didn't jump on "Ready for the Weekend" and "Merrymaking at My Place"? I find it weird that the former didn't chart there. I have no idea. I remember hearing "Ready for the Weekend" on the radio a number of times and it's even on a So Fresh compilation I own ( this one), so it definitely was a single here. If "You Used To Hold Me" which I don't think I've ever heard was able to spend months in the chart, you'd think "Ready for the Weekend" would've done something. It's possible that it was denied charting, but I can't see why. Sorry for not having a full answer! (And as for "Merrymaking at My Place", I don't even know what that is ) • I also can't believe "Only the Horses" didn't do anything in Australia. I know it's a reharsh of "We Found Love"/"Let's Go", but I really like it. That's the Scissor Sisters track, right? They haven't charted here since 2007, so I'm guessing their label decided it wasn't worth promoting. • I think you should add the Calvin Harris remix of Florence + the Machine's "Spectrum (Say My Name)". I know it's a remix, but he's credited as a producer as well Oh yeah, will do

You said you have heard it a couple of times, so it had (some) airplay. I think it couldn't have released properly. Do you know if the AUS charts had some rules denying songs that weren't released properly? I mean, they were released to radio, but they didn't have a physical/digital support, like the UK charts when digital downloads didn't count around 2006 or if there was a limited physical release, like "Maneater" there. (And as for "Merrymaking at My Place", I don't even know what that is ) Let me introduce you to the great/amazing/censored "Merrymaking at My Place" ( link). That's the Scissor Sisters track, right? They haven't charted here since 2007, so I'm guessing their label decided it wasn't worth promoting. Yes! So sad to hear about that :( PS. Thanks to add the Calvin Harris remix of Florence + the Machine's "Spectrum (Say My Name)".
The explicit version of "Thinking About You" is gone on his official YouTube/VEVO channel :'( There are no official information about this though. However, it's still available on Vision Film Co's Vimeo channel (same link as the original post)
OMG! "Thinking About You" is currently at #10 in the UK midweek chart. As a consequence, his ninth UK Top 10 single song from 18 Months is coming and he's expecting to break his own record a week before its official release date. Amazing! ( link)

All the physical/digital rules were done away with by the end of 2007, so that wouldn't have affected "Ready for the Weekend". However, still to this day, labels have to request inclusion on the ARIA chart for each song. Most labels do for everything, but sometimes songs are denied for a couple weeks to aim for a higher debut. I absolutely hate that it still goes on, but that's the way it is :( "Ready for the Weekend" doesn't seem like the kind of song that would've been denied, and if it was, it's likely that they'd have relented and let it on anyway after a few weeks. I guess it's possible that it was denied and was dead by the time they agreed to have it on? Who knows. Let me introduce you to the great/amazing/censored "Merrymaking at My Place" ( link). I guess it's possible that it was denied and was dead by the time they agreed to have it on? Who knows. It seems my theory isn't validated and it's going to remain as a mystery. FYI, it sucks that labels in Australia have to request inclusion for each song to chart as you said. I like it. Yay! But that's true. The album version of "Merrymaking at My Place" makes drugs references, so he had to make a new edit of it. It's still his underperforming single though and I guess that's the reason his label didn't push to release (officially) "Colours" after it. Hopefully with an 8th actual single people will stop counting "We Found Love"!

King of Peru also! Hope so! I think it has received 2 plays over the weekend by this local radio, as it's labeled as a new release. I expect Peruvian people will embrace it as they did with his previous singles. I really hope it hasn't peaked in Australia. I think it hasn't. It's been climbing on the AUS iTunes.
The Thinking About You (feat. Ayah Marar) [Remixes] EP has been released over the different iTunes stores this week, with the exception of Germany. I think the reason of it is because they could release a different single/EP edition like it was with the "I Need Your Love" release there in the next weeks. iTunes peaks (August 9) - "Thinking About You": #8 United Kingdom #11 Ireland #25 Canada :o (*) #26 Australia #53 United Kingdom#148 New Zealand #187 Germany #263 United Kingdom (*) #300 United States (*) iTunes peaks (August 9) - Thinking About You (feat. Ayah Marar) [Remixes]:#179 United Kingdom #195 Ireland #354 Canada • Expected to climb to #8 in the UK. • Expected to rebound to around #21 - #25 in Australia. (*) It's the Laidback Luke remix.

On the topic of "I Need Your Love", was the radio edit used in the video (the one beginning with her voice) ever digitally released? I don't think it was on anything but I'm not sure. Just wondering

Just wondering Nope. The German iTunes release had the album version, the Nicky Romero and Jacob Plant remixes and the video. However, if you want the radio edit, you could find on the web. There was a promotional release before the official one that includes it PS. You could have quoted a 3 month old post on the "I Need Your Love" thread though

How many singles has Calvin Harris released from 18 Months? 9 Total Worldwide if you include We Found Love. 5 in the US if you include said song again. This would make 6. Neither Bounce, We'll Be Coming Back, or Drinking From the Bottom were sent for US adds.
