Elsewhere, "One More Night" refuses to die (third week at #32 for a song that was #1 six months ago); same for "Die Young", which moves back up a notch (if it hadn't slipped to #31 last week it would have a 30-30-30 jackpot.) "Beauty and a Beat" drops from 29 to 34, meaning soon there will likely be the first Nicki Minaj-less AT40 in a while, but while it's on Justin Bieber has three credited chart hits, as does Nate Ruess (counting the two Fun. hits). Fall Out Boy move back up after slipping last week, landing in the top 20 for the first time since 2007.

And this has probably happened many times before, but I find it notable that four of the top five, and seven of the top 10, have a "featured" credit.

I was expecting "Clarity" to debut (2nd week On The Verge) and "Here's To Never Growing Up" to be played as a Breakout, not the other way around. Zedd should, finally, make it next week. Really surprised to see "I Could Be The One" as a Breakout. If it does manage to sneak on next week, it'll, surely, be another one-week wonder.

WOW!! "Die Young" is definitely not dying young and living up to its name.. In Fact with it moving back up a notch its totally Defying its name which is actually pretty cool cause its still such a great tune! "C'Mon" was an alright song too but to me it just didn't have the same vibe and catchiness to it that made you just wanna sing along like there was no tomorrow lol

Ryan mentioned that Florida Georgia Line are the first country duo to hit the pop chart since 1976 (that long?). In typical AT40 fashion, he doesn't bother to tell us who that last duo was. I'd be curious to know. Ryan, you can't dangle chart trivia in front of us and, then, not tell us the answer.

Leading into "Clarity", it was mentioned that all three of this week's Breakout/On The Verge tracks are by DJs who don't sing a note -- Avicii/Nicky Romero, Zedd, Calvin Harris. That thought never occurred to me. Bonus: One of the Optional Extras is, also, by a DJ -- Edward Maya.

As mentioned by other chart sources, Ryan reiterates that Rihanna becomes the first artist to score 10 #1 hits this century. For the record, the 10 are comprised of 8 lead credits...

The Bellamy Brothers did also (barely) make the pop top 40 in 1979 with "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me", which went to #1 country, beginning a long streak of country hits ("Let Your Love Flow" was a bigger pop than country hit.)

But I can't think of any other country duo to have had a pop hit in 1976, or since (excluding solo artists who had duet hits when paired up.)

I see "If I Said..." peaked at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is the chart AT40 was using at the time. It's been established that the current era of AT40 uses R&R for archival chart data. Chartboy says that "Let Your Love Flow" was their only hit there:

There's the added consideration that the R&R pop chart was only 30 positions in 1979. But, I suppose, it's reasonable to assume that "If I Said..." could have missed the top 40 here, making The Bellamy Brothers a valid answer to the question of who the last charted duo was.

And One More Night gets at least One More Week. This week some of us got to hear both I Like It and I Love It. We also got
back-to-back Taylor. The song Daylight reminds me a bit of Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry in its sentiment. The 07/06 segment
gets beefed up again. And we get the first "vs." song (as a breakout), I believe, since the match between Elvis and JXL on
A Little Less Conversation, from 2002.
