This is a superb solo track by the guy who did the vocal on Rudimental's first two hits. I like it a lot better than his past stuff. It's out in the U.K. next month.

I don't think this will even crack the Top 40, it's simply too British.

I would love to see this smash on CHR. My only concern is that it is reminiscent to some of the other really great retro Motown-inspired songs from a couple years back, all of which failed to become pop radio hits: The Black Keys - Tighten Up, Graffiti6 - Free, Mayer Hawthorne - The Walk, and One eskimO - Kandi. Hopefully the time is now right for this style of song to become a CHR hit!

Do you think this will smash or not? I hope so! While I'm not sold on this song's hit potential in the US, I do feel this is significantly less "British" than "Mercy" by Duffy. That ended up becoming huge here and at a time when retro was far less of a thing.

I remember hearing this a couple of months ago in a spanish radio, the radio host loved this song and promoted it a lot, but i wasn't that impressed at first listening. But time passed and the song really grow on me, and i really love it now. I hope it become a big succes in the USA like it is in a lot of countries

Performed on The X Factor Australia tonight. Skyrocketed to #3 on iTunes in less than 2 hours. ARIA chart run so far: 81-55-40-31-23-25-24-26-38-39-30, should have a pretty good chance at top 10 now.

Why does he sound like a duck? I shouldn't have watched this, it ruined the song a bit for me. But I am glad he gets further success.

There is heavy promo for this song already on the Boston pop station WODS with 'Artist You Oughta Know'- type ads. I could see this getting off to a good start. From there, I don't know.

The guys at Y100 Miami really like this song. If it gets good reception in that big market, it could make its way all across the country. I have very high expectations for this song, you know.

Hmmmm. Not sure if I could see this becoming a hit here or not. Can I just say that that video ending kind of annoys me though?

The song is great but he only has one shot. Other british acts like Bastille or Passenger, have the oportunity to grow in other formats before going to pop, John is pop or nothing. I hope he gets an oportunity, the song is a grower (and has that retro song that is doing so well for others but with a modern vibe)

So, this is starting to grow on me. I wasn't sure if I could get into this or not, but I'd kind of like to see this become a hit, though I'm still not sold on whether it will.
