Also, I bawled as a kid in the Dumbo scene where the mom elephant cradles Dumbo outside her cage with her trunk and that heart-wrenching "Baby Mine" song comes on. If I was in the right (or wrong, rather) mood, I could probably just listen to that song and cry. Every freaking time. :'( A Fine Frenzy - Almost Lover

"Almost Lover" is a beautiful song, tragic, but beautiful. It's never made me cry, but I can certainly understand how it could. There's just something about how Allison sings those lyrics...

Definitely A Bad Dream by Keane. And not just b/c it was on Scrubs (although that was sad).

This is a little weird, but Yesterday by the Beatles.
The song at my sisters funeral.

Tim McGraw - 'If You're Reading This' Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss - 'Whiskey Lullaby'
It's not very often that I become emotional, but those two songs just destroy me every time I listen to them. The former, in particular, is absolutely heart-wrenching.

The ending of Charlie Brown by Coldplay. There's just something about those last thirty seconds or so. :'(

I don't think any song has really made me cry, but this one's among the more depressing: Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss - 'Whiskey Lullaby' See also: "The Christmas Shoes." Ugh.

If none of these songs make you sad, you might want to go see a doctor:

I can only think of a few off the top of my head, but I'll come back and add more as I think of them:
The Living Years - Mike + The Mechanics (especially the last verse) The Christmas Shoes - Newsong (self-explanatory) Butterfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle (specifically the version he sang on Oprah, when it showed several people in the audience crying their eyes out) I'll Say Goodbye For The Two Of Us - Expose (really - I defy anyone to listen to that song without getting tears in their eyes) Sandman's Coming Soon - Kathleen Wilhoite (as heard on Cop Rock, the short-lived TV musical police drama which aired on ABC in 1990) Don't Take The Girl - Tim McGraw (its inclusion in an episode of Rescue 911 compelled me to give the lyrics my undivided attention) The Real Thing - Kenny Loggins (the first time I gave the lyrics my undivided attention as well) He's My Son - Mark Schultz Letters From War - Mark Schultz Same Old Lang Syne - Dan Fogelberg Time - Alan Parsons Project

Given that English is my second language, there is a first barrier to pull my emotions out, but some songs just struck a chord easily: - Dust in the Wind (I loved the Kansas version, but then when my mom was battling cancer I played Sarah Brightman's version often... I sang it in a karaoke some time after my mom passed away and I couldn't finish it) - To Where You Are (Josh Groban) - It makes me emotional... I saw it performed in Dancing with the Stars and once again made me teary eyed - Walk On (U2) - It was also one of the songs I played during hard times. When I saw U2 live I sang it out loud and lost it :( - Hurt (Christina Aguilera) - I heard this song for the first time while living in China. After reading about in Pulse :) I paid attention to the lyrics while I heard it for the first time and got touched by it - A Love That Will Never Grow Old (Emmylou Harris) - this one was immediate while it was played in the movie - My Immortal (Evanescence) - back at that time I was still not 100% paying attention to all lyrics as easily, so I missed some nuances of it, but there were some lyrics that were quite powerful along with Amy's poignant voice - That I would be Good (Alanis Morissette) - this one doesn't make much sense, but it just brought back many memories plus the sadness of the song Some in Spanish: - Amor Eterno (Juan Gabriel or Rocio Durcal) - this might be one of the saddest songs to sing by anyone who has lost any relative www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzPJWvXrJvs- Un Beso y una Flor (Nino Bravo) - this is a goodbye song, which can be interpreted as leaving a country or leaving this world... in any case, it has made me teareyed for both reasons www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-OvqPW3j6c- Cancion para la Navidad (Jose Luis Perales) - a melancholic Christmas song that used to make my mom cry about her mom, and now has a similar effect on me www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pM9-HdczaQ

I don't actually cry over songs, but Stole by Kelly Rowland has always been a touching song to me. We Belong Together by Mariah Carey too.

I had never cried while listening to a song until today, when I first heard "Be Still" by The Fray. Granted, it was the memories of all the loved ones I've lost that got me there, not the song, but the song was the catalyst.
I know, I know, manhood card revoked, whatever.

I remember listening to How To Save A Life when one of my best friends told me her grandpa had passed away. Scary how one can sometimes relate to a song.

I don't remember a song that ever made me cry. But some of the most emotional songs I've ever heard were Skyscraper and Rolling In The Deep. Somebody That I Used To Know it's pretty emotional, too. But not enough to keep me thinking bout it.
