"Roar" has such amazing longevity on the charts. Katy is a CHAMPION after all.

Nothing to be surprised at though, with yearend countdowns and special programs broadcasted. That's what the Christmas freeze also implies. It particularly benefits some songs that were about to drop after being big few months before the freeze. Good for Katy, of course!

Roar should surpass Teenage Dream (4.6) in about 2-3 weeks' time (becoming her 5th best-selling US single; Firework 6.4, ET 5.6, California Gurls 5.5, and Hot N Cold 5.4)

I've loved Roar from the get go but now I admire it's endless longevity. It just gets better every time I hear it .

when Katy said on Twitter "this is a BIG song!"....she was most definitely right in that assumption. And we still have the Winter Olympics to go. And probably March Madness at this point, lol.

"Roar" has spent 21 weeks in the top 10 in Australia (3-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-2-2-4-7-8-10-9-9), the longest top 10 run since TV Rock's "Flaunt It" spent 22 weeks in 2006. If it manages another week top 10, it will be the longest run since The Prodigy's "Breathe"'s 24 weeks in 1996-1997.... which is tied with Guns N' Roses' "November Rain" as the longest top 10 run since 1988.

In other news this passed Last Friday Night a couple weeks ago for her second most viewed Youtube video. By this time next year it should be above Firework easily. I think this will be her biggest hit in the long run.

Why did this go recurrent today with a bullet? Negative spin update/bullet recovered only due to year end countdowns. :)

Its top 10 on iTunes and top 10 overall on airplay, so I'd be surprised if it weren't.

I think this will easily go on to become her biggest hit sales-wise. It's going to take a little while to pass Firework, but it will get there.

Roar's run has been truly remarkable. I remember a lot of people saying it would drop like a rock because it ascended up the charts hastily.
