#1 on Dance/Club Play. Her 11th #1 and 11th straight, tying JLo's record of back-to-back #1's. Seems like Madonna would have that honor, but I guess she flopped in there somewhere. Miles Away, probably.

Rhythmic goes through cycles just like pop radio does. Applause and Wrecking Ball are also doing well there. Back in the bubblegum pop era Rhythmic also played those songs.

I remember "Stay" by Lisa Loeb charted on rhythmic.
On the other spectrum, there was a time the Black Eyed Peas were considered to be too poppy for rhythmic.

Yeah, there was a period when Rhythmic was essentially an Urban-format duplicate, while back in the 90s, straight-up pop hits were able to do well on there.

Funny how when Rhythmic was being an urban clone coincided with one of the worst times for Pop music I can recall (that 2002/2003 period before "Since U Been Gone") when Hip-Hop reigned and there was no iTunes. Ugh.

I don't like the video but the song itself is pretty cool.

Adult Contemporary *** No. 1 (5 weeks)*** "Roar" Katy Perry
:o
AC has really embraced Katy. This will bode well for her PRISM album sales.

And it'll rank in the top 5 best-selling songs of 2013 once Soundscan publishes their year-end report. I think the only other songs that will be above it are Blurred Lines, Radioactive, Thrift Shop, and Cruise.
