A lot of songs are going to experience the AT40 effect this weekend!

And of those artists, AWOLNATION, Lana Del Ray, Bonnie McKee, and the Neighborhood are entering or being heard on the countdown for the first time to my knowledge.

Both Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have had songs drop out the last two weeks before entering now as a team, and the Jonas Brothers' song is the first new one by the group to be heard on the show in four years. Interestingly, two years ago Joe Jonas guest hosted the show when he put out a solo album, but he couldn't actually chart a single on the countdown (though he and Ryan did both play "Say No More" as a Breakout/extra).

Wish I had thought to write what that kid did when I was 7 or so, at least if I were listening to AT40 regularly. Maybe I could have sent Casey a Long Distance Dedication or something to that effect along with an assignment expressing my liking for the show. (Seacrest probably also fantasized about counting down the hits when he was growing up--dreams do sometimes come true, I guess.)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! These seven debuts have me screaming like a teenage girl getting an autograph from Justin Bieber, because I was totally not expecting that. I'm sort of bugged that they played "Who Says" as the Two For One, when it was played as a Two For One in the June 1st show. They should've played "Naturally" instead, because I haven't heard that song on the chart when it's played as an extra. Plus, the Two For One being played in the final hour annoys me. Britney Spears should've had the Two For One, just saying. The Top 5 stays put like I expected. But who's going to enter the chart now that all these new tracks have set the countdown on fire?

January was the last time there were 7 debuts but that was after 2 weeks worth of specials.

Well, this is an interesting week. For a moment, I was wondering if this was a, rare, recurrent purging week like we had that one time in 2004. Not the case, it seems. Next week will, probably, be really slow.

A really good week. I was shocked with 7 new songs. Very happy that Lana Del Rey made the chart along with Paramore. It seems like the chart isn't that far behind like it was weeks ago. All in all, I enjoyed this week's countdown as it was very interesting.

Very nice that there are only 4 songs in the bottom half that have been on more 20 weeks. We got 3 "Love" songs on the chart
in a row (13, 12, 11) and back-to-back J.T. Two of the extras are "number" songs. Gone, Gone, Gone was not only the week's
biggest mover, but it could have been the name of the chart's theme with all the songs leaving. Ryan didn't mention the biggest dropper which was played right after the biggest mover. The choice of 241 was just lazy. They need to get with the "program."
We Can't Stop was supposed to be for Rhianna and it's easy to imagine her doing it.
Both CarMax and CarFax were sponsors this weekend. It was cute to hear the interview with the young "future host", but I played
it back several times to hear the 2 reasons he wants to do it. I couldn't understand either one. Can anybody help, please?
