LOL @ the "invent" talk. Too too much. One thing is for sure- it will probably fare better than "Ooh La La." (which I do enjoy)

The first single is apparently produced by William Orbit and Naughty Boy. I can't wait! I hope it's as amazing as I think it will be.

I can't wait to see who will be directing the video. That info will probably show up soon if the rumors about it being shot in 2 weeks are true.

What a great news to start my day. I'm pumped! I''m booking that day off so I can listen to her song the whole day.

She has never disappointed me with a lead single ("Womanizer" is probably my least favorite, and I still like it), so I have super high expectations for this. Can't wait to see what she brings to the table.

K, so I've given it some thought, and here's what I've decided: a dash of dirty electro (Gimme Moreney) mixed with something a bit atmospheric (Unusual Youney) and urban underpinnings (Slaveney) complimented by emotive, un-auto-tuned vocals (State of Graceney) and a sung-rap segment (Get Backney) in a British accent (Scream & Shoutney), all pulled together with some Britney-penned lyrics (Everytimeney) about how she's back and ready to run her life and the music industry (Circusney). /end slw rant
(And I think Banana needs to be in the video.)

I was thinking of those iTunes exclusive things where the artist releases random singles leading up to the album, but yeah, I'm just as well with it being fake. Confirmed by Billboard to be true. w/e Britney will slay her.

Why has there never been a gif of an actual female slaying something....literally? I'm surprised something has never surfaced. Like Kathleen Turner slaying thru the forest in Romancing the Stone. That would be so iconic.

When Britney releases a song, people will be talking about the song. It will arrive free of pretense, contradictions, unintended irony, and distracting visuals. Her art is her music, she knows it, and it's rarely in s**tty taste. The dancing and music videos became secondary when "Toxic" happened. She doesn't desperately try to shape pop culture, shaping what's popular is the natural consequence of being Britney Spears. In four weeks, she will lay new roots for the next wave of pop music.

One of the most iconic posts in this thread already. Commoners, please take note. This is why, in spite of all the controversies, lackluster dancing, lack of live singing, etc that Britney has continued to shine this far into her career. This is what makes her so special.

I was having a very rotten day. Leave it to Britney to make me feel all better with this news. I can't wait to hear what she has in store. I may be frustrated with her at times but no ones fulfills my pop music needs quite like her.

Queen is coming back to break records, snatch wigs, and annihilate every other song currently out. I'm so ready. :'( We're finally getting another In the Zone.

This would be perfection!!! I agree with most. Britney has never tried too hard or been labeled as a copycat. She is original and in a field of her own. She's not the next Madonna or Janet. She's the first Britney. She set the path for Miley, Selena, hell even a bit of Taylor. Hopefully this is promoted and RCA has a better strategy plan than HIAM.

RCA will not let her slip. They can't. She's easily their biggest artist on the label currently.

RCA will not let her slip. They can't. She's easily their biggest artist on the label currently. Right. Their priorities will be Britney's album, then Kelly's Christmas album, then the rest can fight over the last few pennies. I don't foresee any label problems with her--the music will be there and the interest will be there; all RCA has to do is not get in the way.

I think she'll still sell within reach of being platinum when all is said and down. I don't see her doing less than 300K as an opening unless the lead single gets an underwhelming response or she has minimal promotion. The timing is very reminiscent of the Circus era imo.

This isn't Katy Perry this is a budding pop legend all she needs is a hot lead single, couple of top 10 hits and good opening week. Its laughable to say she is competition with the new tricks of the day, when she done that, been there and eclipsed Katy's entire career with one album.
