"Gonna Wanna Tonight" is now available for purchase on iTunes. I must say, despite lyrics and a story exactly the same as many of the other songs we've heard this year, the song much better sounding than "Ready Set Roll". It actually reminds me of Dierks Bentley a bit, at least his voice does. If that song is indeed the next single then I would start to prepare to hear even more Chase on the radio. I know many on Pulse won't like it because it has a hip-hop/R&B type production feel to it, but I think it's going to be huge on radio if released. Also, there's song called "Beach Town" on his new album that sounds intriguing to me.

It's not quite as bad as that late "Shimmy on up inside" in which he sounds like he's getting stabbed on "Ready Set Roll," but I still don't understand how this gets through production.

The extended "Party Edition" (that's actually what it's called) track listing to his upcoming album via iTunes:
1. Ready Set Roll 2. Do it Like This 3. Beach Town 4. MMM Girl 5. Beer with the Boys 6. Carolina Gun 7. We Goin' Out 8. Gonna Wanna Tonight 9. Look at My Truck 10. U Turn 11. 50 Shades of Crazy 12. What's Your Name 13. How She Rolls 14. Jack Daniels and Jesus 15. Party Up (feat. Colt Ford) 16. Country in Ya 17. Best Beers of Our Lives 18. Ride
You'd think I'd have made most of these up myself, but nope.
Anyways, what's the update on this song? I saw that it was Top 20 on Mediabase and laughed for a second, then refreshed the page and realized that it wasn't a joke. Is this actually gaining that much steam?

I think we officially have a new front-runner for the "Worst Album of the Year" award.

Anyways, what's the update on this song? I saw that it was Top 20 on Mediabase and laughed for a second, then refreshed the page and realized that it wasn't a joke. Is this actually gaining that much steam? I wouldn't say it's gaining much steam. It did rebound a bit this past week with a 285 bullet on Billboard and an audience gain of 1.3 million, but it's basically only made the top 20 by slipping through the cracks whenever enough songs go recurrent. Luke Bryan and probably Sam Hunt are going to go up ahead of this one, and the new Jason and Garth tunes are almost certain to go up ahead of this as well. So unless Chase can pass any songs ahead of him, this one is 14th in line for the next top 10 opening, behind Kenny Chesney, Dustin Lynch, Eric Paslay, Cole Swindell, Brantley Gilbert, Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band, The Swon Brothers, Miranda and Carrie, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean, and Garth Brooks. Obviously Jason and Garth are at 0 yet, just getting started, but by the end of this week Jason could already be closing in on Chase's audience total, and I really think Garth is gonna blaze a trail up the chart as well. Luke's "Roller Coaster" will cruise ahead this week and I think Sam Hunt should be able to pass Chase sometime in the next few weeks as well. I can see this cracking the top 15, but I think top 10 is quite the stretch yet. I am thinking that this one will peak sometime next month when the album comes out.

Sounds pretty much like "Bottoms Up" (Brantley Gilbert) or viceversa. Wouldn't you agree? Was impartial at first on Chase Rice. Too much of the same sounding music around these days. Quite like it now.

Hopefully he doesn't sell out on album #2 like Florida Georgia Line or Jason Aldean who are going back to old boring grandpa country music.

But you're just sounding ridiculous when you say things like this and it shows that you clearly have little to no respect for the genre.

He could be trying to be sarcastic w/r/t 'bro' too, couldn't he? Nah, most of his posts are like that. (And really, Aldean's new single may be the least country single on radio outside of Sam Hunt). To remain somewhat on topic, I don't think I see this going top 15. Way too much competition ahead and below him to do much else. On a side note, "Gonna Wanna Tonight" isn't terrible. Not great by any means but slightly enjoyable.

Brian might be trolling, but I'm 16 and I enjoy the radio edit of this. I'm getting his album when it comes out. He's pretty good live, too. If you don't like this, listen to his older stuff. Little Things is a good song of his. (Also, FGL/Jason are not selling out/going back to traditional in any way. They both have some traditional influences in their music along with this, but they in no way are old-school country. I have no clue what that poster is talking about.)

I actually kinda enjoy "Gonna Wanna Tonight" so far. Maybe the lyrics are similar to what's been released over the last year, but if it's not overproduced and super loud then I can try and get behind it.

I am currently thinking to myself: "Oh, dear Heavenly Father, what has the world come to?" since this whatchamacallit is starting to spread like wildfire...and I'm not just talking about this particular song and/or artist, if you know what I mean.

However to call me trolling is ridiculous. Didn't you have a PMS moment by throwing a fit in a different thread about people not agreeing with your opinions? Well, I am posting my opinions that are factious and pertain to the discussion. I know everybody here worships you, but I don't and I find your posts obnoxious and ignorant. I honestly feel like Florida Georgia LIne and Jason Aldean are selling out. That is my OPINION. I posted this a second and last time. I don't beat a dead horse. Back to on topic, I am thrilled this is now Top #20 and I hope it spends many weeks at #1.

Back to on topic, I am thrilled this is now Top #20 and I hope it spends many weeks at #1. PMS moment? Lol, cute. I didn't have a moment about people disagreeing with my opinions, but I guess you must've "learned" reading comprehension differently than I did. And I must've missed the part where people "worshipped" me, but thanks for the confidence boost! Anyways, you saying that this is "real, true Country" and referencing traditional Country as "old bad grandpa music" is trolling. That's all you ever do in these scenarios. Nobody cares if you enjoy or don't enjoy a song, just as nobody cares if I do or don't enjoy a song, or if anyone else does or doesn't. What people DO care about (myself included) is when you have to go completely off the record from the song itself to completely slander something that has no relation whatsoever. That, and you know damn well as everyone else that "real" Country music is a controversial topic of discussion on here. You simply throw fuel into the fire and don't think twice about it. You're a troll. Congrats on loving this music (I'm not saying your opinion is wrong because that would be, well, wrong) and congrats on thinking I'm obnoxious or ignorant (no amount of sleep at night will be lost on my behalf), but maybe you should start thinking about how trollish your posts are before posting them. Again, I don't care if you think this song is great. I care that you consistently praise it as "real Country music" and subsequently put down any and all other "forms" of Country music just to get a rise out of people. You are, and have always been, a troll in these cases. Enough.

OK, this is really getting out of hand, y'all. Can we please go back to discussing this song/artist before a whole lot of us end up in trouble with a mod or two? Please?

Sheesh...I'm busy working for a full day and come back only to find a couple derailed threads. Talk about fun!
Reminders (and I'm not just talking to one person here, but everyone):
*Please stay on topic *Please don't post about other posters (it's not allowed, and it's off-topic anyway) *Please don't post simply to get a rise out of others. Instigating and trolling will not be tolerated. *And please no baiting or unnecessary 'bashing' of artists.

I'll say titles can be deceiving, "Look at My Truck" and "Jack Daniels & Jesus" are songs he released earlier that are actually pretty dang good songs. I am one person who can NOT stand this song, but really like both of those. I'll reserve judgement until I've listened to the album.

Gotta say, the two new songs available on iTunes aren't too intriguing as the album approaches. Does he feel the need to have "a**" or "sh**" in his songs? Doesn't usually add much to a song to randomly throw in a cuss word imo.

I was wrong thinking this wouldn't go top 15, it's now at #13 with Billy set to fall behind him. At this point I'm gonna say this (unfortunately) does indeed go top 10.

I think he can get top 10, but with the album coming out this week, and the song at 40 weeks on the chart now, I'm not so sure this song has more than a few weeks left, and with all the big names ahead of him, there won't be a lot of room opening up either.

I'm guessing they'll push this for a top 10 peak or for about 4 more weeks which ever comes first. I can't wait until this is done and they hopefully move onto something a little better.

When this is done I personally think releasing something more substantial is the way to go, prove he's more than a generic bro. "Jack Daniels and Jesus" (piano version kicks ass by the way) or to a lesser extent "Look at my Truck" would be good choices.
