Politics. I don't know the answer but it happens with more than just Faith. It's because they pick their 'superstar's and they hate it when real superstars pass their 'superstars'. That's why they do it, so they don't look hypocritical.. That's MHO MEDIABASE: LW TW 24 12 FAITH HILL Mississippi Girl 19 13 TOBY KEITH As Good As I Once Was I guess superstars can pass up other superstars.

LOL guess your right--but it does happen. Faith is just flying with this song. Maybe I was right, only Top 10 in 1 week.

Faith jumped Toby's song today. I'm glad to see that! Enough with that 'let's pull back spins to protect some big-name' stuff! I was hoping she'd pass him. :) I've posted on these boards before when I've seen those sudden zig-zags, and each time it happened it was when a big-name star was about to have the indignity of being passed by some other big-name. ... However, sometimes even the song being slowed down will rebuild enough steam and pass the 'chosen one' anyway. That's why I'm curious to see if Faith will be able to do it. At this point, I'm rooting for her. :)

Has anyone else seen the video? It is on CMT.com today. I like the effects with the lights (I can see now that the ACM thing was a failed attempt to replicate the effect). I think Faith looks great and the context of the video is just right for the song and for her 'comeback.' She looks like a star and a girl next door at the same time. However, I need to see it again on the TV. Seemed the concert audience footage was a little on the cheesy side.
Oh, and I love it when Faith tries to dance. Goes to show that there really is something 'real' about her ;)

I think the video is great.....the country scenes are soooo beautiful and Faith looks absolutely stunning with that white dress on. I think the concept was defintely cool...but I didn't like the shot of 'Faith' jumping into the river. Obviously they werent gonna have Faith do it herself, but it did look fake and kinda odd (if this makes any sense)
but anyways, I love the song and the video. It's great to have Faith back

How sweet would it be if Faith keeped Kenny and Toby from going #1? Apparently it isn't hard at all to keep Kenny from #1; within the last 2 albums: Toby Keith, Darryl Worley, Alan Jackson/Jimmy Buffett, Tim McGraw, and Lonestar have all managed to keep Kenny held at #2. Even Kenny's #1 songs within that time frame have spent at least one week at #2 either on the way up or down (Good Stuff, There Goes My Life, Sun Goes Down, Anything But Mine). If "Keg" doesn't make it, it could very well be Faith that does the blocking. I'd like to see her get another Country #1, but not necessarily with this one.

Ms. Hill's single is the fastest rising single in 3 1/2 years; that's not too shabby either!!!!

Welcome back Faith, I just hope there's something a little more substantial on her album because this just doesn't excite me.

iTunes has it, as does AOL Music. It is also all over WinMX and Limewire, if you don't want to pay

You can burn the songs you purchase on iTunes, but only using the iTunes software the other non-iTunes songs just simply have to be added to your library and then you can burn them together.
I absolutley love the song and the video. I love the part when she dives into the river it made me chuckle a little. I love the way Faith looks in the video as well. She looks better than ever and it seems like she has found the fountain of youth. I look forward to this song going to #1.

Considering the skimpy number of ladies who've hit #1 in the past few years, this would really be a great story if Faith can hit the top spot.

The most over hyped song since "Redneck Woman". IMO
No wonder I hate them both religiously.

I agree in regards to Faith. I just got done watching the video and WOW, does she look ragged. I'm not one for concert type videos either.

I agree! This song seems to be all chorus!
Does anyone know if the album title "Fireflies" came from a cut on the album? If so, is it Lori McKenna's song or Stevie Nicks'?

Fireflies is an album cut and I believe it is Lori McKenna's.

Faith Hill looks gorgeous in the new music video. Why is everyone so jealous of her? Stop the hate because you don't have Tim McGraw.

Who would be jealous? He has a sh!tty voice, she looks like she's been around the block WAY more than once.....
She needs to go back to the Breathe days. This new hairstyle is just downright disgusting. The song isn't all that bad for being a Faith song, but the vid is.

I wish that when people don't appreciate an artist's particular song, look, career, existence, that they would go complain repeatedly about it on a fan board somewhere. The bashing around here gets old. This board is supposed to focus on the MUSIC and the charts. If you hate the artist in question, why bother with the thread?
That said, Faith's #18 slot on BB this week is impressive, but didn't "Cry" have a similar run at the beginning? I wonder if country radio will continue to embrace the song or if it will die the same death that "Cry" and "There You'll Be" did, though it's more 'country' than those songs, so I don't know what their reasoning would be.

If that was directed towards me, nice try, but I did say I didn't mind the song. You just concentrated to much on the negative on my post.
This board is to talk about music, whether it be good or bad, and I would prefer we not like the same things instead of everyone liking the same thing.
