What would you suggest then? 3. It Should Be Easy 4. Alien Even though I'm not crazy about It Should Be Easy, it's the most current sounding out of her options and I think it's the one radio will eat up the most. I would suggest the smash that is "Tik Tik Boom." I really don't think it's a smash. I like the song, but it's very 2006 and I don't think it will do as great as everyone thinks. It Should Be Easy would be too messy to release. It's half will.i.am who has really only had one hit, Scream & Shout. And then she is way too autotuned. Til it's Gone has that epic feel and it's a great dance track and fits along with whats on radio. It's the safest choice.

People are only championing 'It Should Be Easy' as a single because they're hoping/thinking it will be the next 'Scream & Shout'. The problem is that the former isn't even half as good as the latter, and the latter wasn't even that great to begin with.

I prefer Tik Tik Boom, but Til It's Gone would be the safest choice for the next single. Ideally, I'd love it if both could be released though.
I wish Perfume was slaying. I love it so much. :(

The album is dead in the water? It's nearly 10 spots higher than ARTPOP right now on iTunes...

The album is dead in the water? It's nearly 10 spots higher than ARTPOP right now on iTunes... And what does that prove exactly? Both of those albums are being widely considered as bombs (though Gaga at least had a faster start and more goodwill at radio right now). I'm just trying to be realistic. Look at Femme Fatale- it housed two huge pop hits that peaked weeks and months after the album debuted and neither single helped keep the album selling. I mean it must have sold only 250k or so after its first two months on the shelf. That Femme Fatale comparison I just made is probably being generous. If Britney Jean is only shifting 25-30k two or three weeks into its run- in the PEAK of the Christmas shopping season nonetheless- I really can't see it doing much more than 300k when said and done. I'd be a little more optimistic if we knew there was a plan or promo schedule of some sort but considering she was actually making a few appearances and had two huge Summer hits with Femme Fatale (and it still was not selling much a few months into its run), what makes you think that this will even be shifting more than 10k per week a month from now? The Vegas coverage for opening night and that IABJ doc is probably the most exposure this album will ever have and that ship has pretty much sailed as of next week. But like I said, bring on "Til It's Gone" with an actual single campaign, or a re-vamped BJ album with an extra EP, or an "Alien" remix release with a verse from Katy Perry or something. Until any of those things happen, the chances of this album turning around are most definitely slim to none.

I'm surprised the song is still sticking around on iTunes... it's increased a bit since the show (#135). It even stayed in the Top 200 when Work Bitch fell out. If it can at least stay consistent like that until the new year, hopefully it'll get a second wind. If they would just release the directors cut it could probably get a second wind digitally.

If Perfume wasn't the 2nd single from this album, i would definitely go with Passenger as the 3rd single! but considering Perfume is a ballad, they should absolutely release a heavy dance track now. Although Body Ache is my fav dance track off the album, it might not do well cuz it sounds a bit dated and repetitive. I assume Til It's Gone or Tik Tik Boom are the safest bets now.
Then Passenger to end the era plz

Circus is epic sounding. Stronger is epic sounding. Till It's Gone is something that would have been left on the Femme Fatale cutting room floor. People are only championing 'It Should Be Easy' as a single because they're hoping/thinking it will be the next 'Scream & Shout'. The problem is that the former isn't even half as good as the latter, and the latter wasn't even that great to begin with. No, I think it's going to scratch the Top 10 at best and in no way become big like S&S. I agree it's not half as good as S&S, and that S&S isn't even a great song. However, I stand by saying that it's her best choice out of the potential singles left to pick from. At this point anyway.

The only song that can save the album is Alien. It's by far the most forward-thinking song on the album and its chorus is insanely catchy. Til It's Gone would be a good choice too though.

"Passenger" is the obvious third single, but it could use a radio mix with cleaner vocals. The same goes for "Alien" when she decides to release it. Maybe they should just send the Vegas version to radio. It sounds much more organic, and whoever is doing the background vocals (maybe Britney?) sounds better than Sia. They could also go the Cedric Gervais route; at least he sounds more current than will.i.am. I think this song has potential, but it needs some kind of new treatment at this point to ignite interest, and while the video was pretty, it was a nonevent. I really like this fan-made mix of Perfume: http%3A//soundcloud.com/remixedbynick/perfume-extended-orchestralThis is a really nice mix save the end where they isolate Sia's background vocal. When this premiered, a lot of people complained about Britney's vocal delivery in the chorus, but I think it's the Britney + Sia combination that grates. I wish Myah Marie or Keri Hilson would've laid down the background vocals. I think Hilson was Britney's best background singer; their voices blended so well on songs like "Gimme More," "Break The Ice," and "Perfect Lover."

Wow, I thought this was completely dead! I didn't get a lot for Christmas, but Santa, (can you hear me?) I will accept a miraculous turnaround for Perfume as a make good on your lackluster showing this year. I mean, I know it's pretty much impossible without SOMETHING to ignite the second wind, but a boy can dream.
Also, I think that everyone is crazy and that Passenger is the only potential smash on the album. The other suggested songs are nice enough and might work following a hit.

I still think "Til It's Gone" is the safest choice and the only remaining uptempo track left, besides "Tik Tik Boom", as a potential third single, but I prefer to see "Passenger" and "Alien" to be released instead of them tbh. Being said that, I agree with Gold Soundz, regarding a potential radio mix that could work for both songs.
Regarding "Perfume", I hope it could rebound after the post-freeze, but it could go either way at this point tbh.

I think this song has potential, but it needs some kind of new treatment at this point to ignite interest, and while the video was pretty, it was a nonevent. Yeah, I think they need to send a different mix of the song to radio after the freeze. The problem with the radio mix is that it doesn't match the vocals. Those vocals were lifted from the dreaming mix, which has a completely different tone. If she had re-recorded vocals for the radio mix to match the urgency of the song, it may have worked but she didn't. As a result, the transition to the chorus feels awkward in the radio mix. In general, the chorus is just so much more amazing on the dreaming mix. Some of the radio stations are already playing the dreaming mix. Does anyone have any info on how well it's being received?

Til It's Gone would be a dream single for me - but I'm not holding my breath. I feel like it will be that album track that deserved to be released but never got the chance (Inside Out, Breathe On Me, etc.)
Looks like Alien, Passenger or It Should Be Easy.

"'Til It's Gone" is the only song on the album that could maybe revive this era IMO. "Passenger" and "Alien" are the other obvious choices, but I think they'd need more momentum coming out of the gate than "Perfume" has allotted.

Passenger and/or Alien would make great single choices (better choices than anything thus far), but both need the proper momentum to succeed. The only thing that I think could (possibly) bring that momentum is Til It's Gone. Cue It Should Be Easy.

But the right song for the next single IMO is TILL IT'S GONE.

Why did they release this? It has 4th single written all over it. Britney can barely dance, nevermind sing. BTW I'm not a hater and I have purchased Britney's latest cd. I just need her to do something.
