This is a really pretty song! congrats to Christina! I liked it on the first listen! :) See guys, the benefits of working with Pit and the effects of getting a smash single! 'Feel this moment' did for her what she needed to comeback, it made her win momentum/interest of the general public/more duets/more twitter followers and made Christina popular again! :) OMFG

#1! After 3 years of intense scrutiny and not getting the props she deserves she introduced an indie band to the world and helped them discover a brand new audience.

I feel so ecstatic for A Great Big World. To come out of the gate and get their first big iTunes hit like this.

Perfect song to jam out to in the bleakness of winter. I wish the tempo of music would correspond to the seasons more often.

"Christina is number one"..."Go Christina"...she's even less of an element in this than she was in Jagger, can we stop heaping credit on her.
It's a beautiful song, and she provides some beautiful BVs, and she got them their platform on The Voice, but that's the extent of it.

It's a beautiful song, and she provides some beautiful bv's, and she got them their platform on The Voice, but that's the extent of it. u sound pressed. No, unbothered. And this is a message to anyone else that wants to vomit out the same old drag-queen internet lingo buzzwords from 2010 if an opinion conflicts with there's. I'm not 'pressed', I have no agenda, I don't take part in hysterical internet fan wars that pit female singer against female singer in some deranged Top 40 Hunger Games. I have defended Christina on here as many times as I have criticized her, I am not someone that dogs her threads with negativity. I am not annoyed that Christina has a credit on a song that is number one on iTunes and Britney, Janet Jackson or Nikki Mckibbin does not. My issue here is people parading around Christina's name as though she's the sole or even half the reason this song is a success. It plays into all the dozens of stereotypes of boards like this and it's just idiotic. She got this act their platform on The Voice, and does some very nice backing vocals on their song. The fact of the matter remains, when it's Christina on her own, nobody much cares. Whether that's because of the material, or her PR profile as more of a TV personality/weight fluctuator...I do not know. But to cartwheel around calling these number one's 'hers' merely because of she had tiny roles in them, when she can't get them as the solitary credit with her own material, just doesn't fly. If you want to go around and act like Christina is as instrumental in the songs she's been a part of in her recent career as a features artist as, say, Aloe Blacc was in the success of Wake Me Up, go ahead, but it's desperate. And I know, them's the rules, for a featured artist who gets a number one it still counts it as 'their' number one. Which I can see being braggable about if it's Alicia in Empire State Of Mind or Rihanna in Love The Way You Lie, but Christina is just not as big a part of Moves Like Jagger or Say something, as those ladies are in those instances. Take Christina out of Moves Like Jagger, it's the same song. Take her out of Say Something, it's the same damn song. If this song goes on to be a massive hit on Pop radio, it will not be because Christina Aguilera's name took it there. This was a very smart PR move for both A Great Big World and Christina (who's people will no doubt bandy around that she's adding another smash to 'her' recent run) and it sparked the flame wonderfully, but the rest is just spin and a little less shamelessness would be nice.

Yea you sound madd but that's not surprising coming from you. It's funny when Christina is featured on a song and it becomes successful (or hits #1 on iTunes) people immediately start saying her features add little yet other artists keep working with her and most of them become successful. So if Christina adds little to these songs then I say let her keep doing it since she can add so little to a feature...yet it goes a long way. :)

Jack is right, though, in that some of her featurings do do well... but what it comes down to, is that there's an issue when it comes to her own releases. That's all.

No one is arguing about her own releases because we know they all flopped but attempting to discredit her features in order to downplay her role in the songs..is well..wrong. It's OK though because when she does another feature we'll be having this same conversation again like we've done 20 times before.

The same could be said, though, in the opposite direction, JB- those who try to say a track does well because she's featured on it. Her presence may be here nor there on them; I mean, why would her own releases not do well, but the ones she's featured on do? Unless someone polls those who buy the featuring tracks, no way of knowing. Pretty early to tell how this particular track will fare, anyhow, outside of a performance-boosted showing.
