I like Carrie's cover....kinda reminds me of LeAnn Rimes' "This Woman" cover..the font and all. Yeah, it does look a little bit like LeAnn's. I am excited about this cd by Carrie. She looks great on the cover too.. ;)

For some reason almost all these covers are either outdoors (carrie, martina, terri, billy, sarah,patty... or have a really bad graphic designer (dolly, george jones..). Hmm The outdoors must be the new thing.

Like I said I'm not gonna argue...but I will say again: country and disco don't mix. I could see making the cd look vintage...but she never sang disco...if you're gonna make cover art look vintage...do it according to your own genre. Now put it to rest.

I could see making the cd look vintage...but she never sang disco...if you're gonna make cover art look vintage...do it according to your own genre. Now put it to rest. 1. It's the artist's discretion....they're time, they're music, they can do what they want. As a fan, you reserve the right to not like it, but the artist reserves the right to not care. 2. I don't see a disco cover, I see a '70's cover. The album is called "Those Were The Days" referring to the '70's, in which her career was in her prime. You see disco, I don't. It's all about interpretation. I can honestly see Dolly wearing that back in the day anyways, I personally think it fits her. 3. You DON'T have the final word...and your opinion doesn't hold any more value that mine and the next persons. You don't have the right to tell someone to "put it to rest" If the moderators feel the need to do so, they will. You can't.

I never once said I have the final word, did I? Or was that your "interpretation"....to use your phrasing??? Let the moderators speak for themselves, don't speak for them.

On nov 8th 50 cent is releasing a soundtrack to his movie...that is also the same day kenny chesneys new cd is released...this should shoot down (get it...50 cent & shoot) kennys getting a #1 debut on the billboard top 200...im surprised that kenny picked this date as they usually find a date that doesnt have major competition to get a #1 debut...unless the 50 date was announced later.

WTF! have they released another Greatest Hits before or something? Because that's a pretty wierd timespan...other groups in various genres have done them after existing six years before, but they don't bring attention to that fact... Oh well. Still makes more sense than Hilary Duff's Most Wanted.

The Montgomery Gentry cover looks odd.
Reba looks very beautiful for someone over fifty but it seems like she's trying to look younger as she's getting older. I would have preferred a classier cover. Oddly, she chose more distinguished covers (It's Your Call, Rumor Has It) when she was physically in her prime around the early 90s but her most recent covers (So Good Together, GHIII, #1s) as she neared the 50 year mark seemed to go out of their way to give her a younger, hipper look.

The song, "Good Ride Cowboy" is reportedly from a new CD box set that is supposed to drop exclusively in Wal-Mart stores a week after the CMA appearance, on November 22nd at a "Wal-Mart price" of $25. The package is expected to contain a combination of past Garth hits and previously unreleased material.

She has a single that probably won't even be top 20 when the cd is released. She was going to have a difficult enough time topping Carrie Underwood's second week sales and now Garth's releasing a cd the same week. She'll be lucky if anyone can find her cd at the biggest retailer with the promotional push that will likely be behind this exclusive Wal-Mart deal with Garth.

Garth's CD probably won't chart on Billboard though. The Billboard 200 doesn't count albums that are exclusive to one store, although they do for the Comprehensive Albums chart. Not sure what they do on country.

Is it just me or is the Desperate Housewives soundtrack not all that country? It has country songs and country artists on it, but that doesn't necessarily make it a country CD. LeAnn Rimes' track is a total pop Diane Warren ballad.
