Welll Faith's sales are going to increase, she is going to be on Oprah and Oprah is even having a contest for the biggest Faith fan, so that person can meet her.
I see the crowd if she sings Wish For You, they will melt.

Oprah is a good producer of increases, but I don't know how much you think Oprah will help. Normally its only 20-40% increase, and that depends on how low the album is already.

Music Row's review of Fireflies.. She has been #1 for 5 weeks on their Breakout chart.
Faith Hill "Fireflies" (Warner Bros.)
When a singer hails from a town called Star, Mississippi, there’s something sweetly poetic in seeing that prophecy turn real—and who better than Faith Hill to play the princess in the charmed story? A natural beauty with a beacon smile, Hill first captivated listeners a dozen years ago with hits like “Wild One” and a countrified “Piece Of My Heart,” before going on to wed—in true fairy tale fashion—Nashville’s most eligible prince, Tim McGraw. Her career then migrated popward, crowned by the phenomenal crossover success of “Breathe,” which alienated some of her more hardcore country fans. But never fear, Fireflies seems bent on telling us that Star’s favorite daughter can still kick off her pricey Hollywood pumps and get back to her raisin’. Indeed her honey-oatmeal alto has never sounded better. The banjo-spurred “Sunshine and Summertime” kicks things off with its clever checklist of things summery . . . beer, bikinis, biceps and poolside chilling. “Mississippi Girl”—a mission statement made to order for this non-songwriter—may seem a tad pat but, hey, it’s already a radio hit. Things quicken to a Cajun gallop with “Dearly Beloved,” a deliciously cynical account of a hasty wedding that doesn’t augur well (the bride is “three months late” and the groom is ogling the maid of honor). The stately “I Want You” unfolds like a poem of raw yearning: The eagle wants a canyon and a place where he can rest his wings a while/The drifter wants a freight train that will carry him another hundred miles/The lion’s only lookin’ for something he can sink his teeth into/Oh and I want you. “Stealing Kisses,” “If You Ask” and the wistful title track all come from the pen of Lori McKenna, a superb new writer whose forte seems to be finely observed, gently heartbreaking slices of life. “Like We Never Loved At All,” one of the CD’s poppier efforts, features an anthem-big chorus that flirts with melodrama, especially since we find hubby Tim in a prominent supporting role—which should guarantee a flood of airplay. “We’ve Got Nothing But Love To Prove,” written by the brilliant Darrell Scott, delivers an “Imagine”-like list of what-ifs that rings vitally true in these war-bruised times. “Wish For You,” a valentine of rolling imagery and gentle emotion, is the last “official” track. But the final word goes to “Paris,” a ghost track that no one’s trying hard to conceal. Good thing too. Its painterly vistas blend with a melancholy cabaret tune showcasing what might be Hill’s best vocal here. Excellently varied, crisply produced, expressively sung and bearing a generous 14 tracks, Fireflies could serve as a model for contemporary country albums. No doubt about it, Star’s star is still shining bright.

No Jackson fan you are the one that is all out of control, there was a civil discussion on this thread about the CMA's until you came on and got mean and nasty when I mention the truth that Alan's album has been the weakest of his career in trying to make a point about a Faith Hill nod. You are the one that is out of control here, and please stop your yelling, it is very rude and shows someone that has lost control. Your comment about Tim and the couch, here is a direct quote from you so lie again about what you said: Did anyone see Faith on The View last night? She sang Mississippi Girl and Let Me Let Go. MG sounded horrible - she was flat and off key - definitely no protools used. Also, did anyone notice she had the words to Mississippi Girl scrolling down the teleprompter at her feet while she was singing? However at the end when she sang LMLG she sounded better. She said that Tim was backstage in the green room and the ladies were trying to get him to come out but he didn't Faith said something about him jumping over the couch like Tom Cruise did a few weeks back - thank heaven he didn't - that would have been awful! Nursie dear - did you not learn on CWO? If you are going to quote me - do it right - what you have said is a "direct quote" from me is horsefeathers and you know it - take your TIMISGOD blinders off and see that Faith is human = a great singer - but human - and SHE DOES SOUND FLAT from time to time!

This Faith Hill article, titled "Faith Hill Embraces Simpler Country Sound", was posted on a ST board. Faith now calls herself a "soul sister." Her words, not mine. I just don't know what to say. I know what to say to you but I will hold back, don't want to be rude. Why start now?

kyhomeg: Can you please show me where jacksonfan has 'caused so much problems'? Because I am familiar with this user on other boards and have never known him/her to cause problems.

If that duet is Faith's next single, it's a mortal lock to hit #1; I heard a snippet of it on 'Access Hollywood' last week, and it was exceptional.

Excuse me? You are the one that starts trouble with your garbage about the McGraws - then you leave/become 'invisible' and send threatening PM's to everyone and anyone who says the slightest negative thing about Tim. I could care less whether you think I'm invisible or not - I'm just pointing out that you are doing EXACTLY what you accuse others of doing. If you want to be treated with respect you FIRST HAVE TO GIVE RESPECT and that is something that is completely missing with you when it comes to the almighty Faith and Tim. You have turned sooooooo many people off of Faith and Tim because of your constant ranting and raving and harrassment of those who share anything negative regarding these two! If you would take it as an opinion and not take it so personally, things would be just fine!

fireflies cd sales:week 3 = 73,000. total = 526,000. I'm only bringing this up because kyhomeg mentioned this in another post somewhere: What are the first 3 week sales of Toby's 'Honkytonk University'? EDIT/ADDED: From what I recall, here are Toby's 3 week totals. First Week: 280,000 Second Week: 120,000 Third Week: 80,000 Total: 480,000

Congrats to Faith, she is doing great. Other than the first week she is not out there pouding the pavement. She did the Today Show, Jay Leno and the View the FIRST WEEK and that has been it. No other shows since nationally and no touring. So she is doing great.
Faith is doing just what she wants. Like she said in a interview recently, she would never want to go back to the hectic, frantic pace of the Breathe era. She said she is in a different phase of her life, the children are the most important, they are older and their needs are first. At the end of the LA TV taping(after the taping ended) she was talking about her kids to the audience and mentioning the fact she couldn't wait to get back home, the kids were about ready to start school.
So everybody wants to compare Faith to whatever, and say this and that about her, but Faith is just happy to put out her music but, her priorties have changed over the years and that is ovivious, her kids and family come first and she has proven that time and time again.
I remember a quote from REBA in I think People's magazine about Faith. She said Faith has turned down so many things and given up so much in regards to her career, but it is what she wants, her role of mother comes first. So proud to be a fan of Faith's and Tim they both not only talk but walk the walk of putting family first in all their decisions and what they do.
Tim could be like Kenny or even Toby and out there touring nonstop but he chooses not too. Heck how many big time artist take a month out in the SUNMER months away from touring to go on family vacation. That is what Tim and Faith did. Tim hasn't toured the whole month of August except 3 days so he could be there with Faith with what she was doing and be there when the kids start school. Many, many country artist do that, don't get me wrong, but Faith and Tim wlak the walk and I admire them for that.

You know something, you are not worth responding too, and you sure don't know the heck what you are talking about. Actually Tim is one of the most respected in the business and liek one Nashville TV producer told me that has been voting for the CMA and ACM that the 8 years he has lived there, he's never heard one bad comment about Tim. Tim is very well liked, he is one of the most loyal, down to earth genuine guys in the usiness. Sorry to burst you bubble.

Actually Faith's role was set out to be much larger. Faith herself said that she worked on "Stepford" for "close to five months ". (Her statement about that is in the article on Post # 3 of Page # 9 of this thread.) Just about all of her scenes were cut from the movie though. There were a lot of reshoots for the movie and it didn't test well with audiences. So most of Faith's scenes ended up getting cut.
