Faith Hill Sets New Album Track List
By Phyllis Stark, Nashville
Additional details have surfaced about Faith Hill's highly anticipated new album, "Fireflies." As previously reported, the set will be released Aug. 2 via Warner Bros., and is led by the single "Mississippi Girl," which advances 8-7 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart this week.
The album includes 13 tracks plus the bonus cut "Paris." And while Hill recorded a cover of Jessi Colter's 1975 hit "I'm Not Lisa" for potential inclusion, that version has been axed from the final "Fireflies" track listing. Hill's husband, Tim McGraw, duets with her on "Like We Never Loved at All."
Other standouts include the title track, "Sunshine and Summertime," the humorous "Dearly Beloved" and "Wish for You."
As previously reported, Hill and McGraw will perform Saturday (July 2) at the Rome edition of the Live 8 concerts.
Here is the track list for "Fireflies":
"Sunshine and Summertime" "Mississippi Girl" "Dearly Beloved" "I Ain't Gonna Take It Anymore" "Stealing Kisses" "Fireflies" "Like We Never Loved at All" featuring Tim McGraw "I Want You" "The Lucky One" "If You Ask" "We've Got Nothing But Love To Prove" "You Stay With Me" "A Wish for You" "Paris" (bonus track)

That's disappointing. I would have liked to have heard this.

"Paris" is a boring ballad, but Faith has said that she loved it. She probably fought to include it on her album.

I'm glad that I'm Not Lisa got axed.....there don't need to be anymore covers of that song. And what a SHOCKER...a duet with her flippin' husband. :(

I'm looking forward to the duet. Many great country couples have done multiple duets. Bring it on!

I'm glad that I'm Not Lisa got axed.....there don't need to be anymore covers of that song. I agree with this -- the original version of the song was all I needed. Enough is enough. But Jimmy Carter's AllAccess column says the song will be on Faith's album, and that she has finished re-recording a new version. So get ready for "my eyes are not blue, but they won't leave you" all over again.

Ya I saw that on his column too and I'm hoping it's incorrect....guess it doesn't really matter though as I won't be buying Faith's album anyway

Steelo not to offend you, but I'm curious. If you don't like Faith and don't plan on buying her album, why do you come to a thread about her album. Seems like all you want to do is put a negative spin on Faith and her album. Why is that? The people that like Faith and plan on buying the CD, are not going to change their mind cause of your comments.
I know you like Sugarland, how would you feel if someone that didn't like them at all, went to a thread about them just to make negative comments.
As for the duet, they have ONLY had ONE official duet in the almost 9 years of marriage. Two songs that counted as duets even though they wern't, so I don't see a problem there. Their last one on radio was 2000. Look at Conway and Loretta, Tammy and George how many they did, and even duet albums.

I came on here to post MY thoughts on a Faith topic and I thought that, hey, since this is a Faith post, why not post on here? I guess next time I could go to a shania thread and turn in into a thread about someone else since most like to add shania to threads that don't concern her. Next time I have a novel idea, I'll post at the WRONG place next time.
I never ONCE stated I was trying to get people to shy away from buying her album, did I?
People already do make negative comments about Sugarland and how often do you see me posting feedback about their negativity?? YA DON'T....but hey, ya know who I like, so I guess you should have known that too, huh?
Now on to the duet....and once again, BARF. "Official". What a way to put it. Just look at their Let's Make Love video...that says it all....with a video like that they should have just called that song "Let's Have Sex" and gotten it over with. If videos would have been around back in George/Tammy and Conway/Loretta's time, they wouldn't have made a video like that now, would they have?

Huge pot, been in use a thousand years, has never been scrubbed. Black as in deepest space, where no light has ever been seen.
< shakes head until it detaches >
My favorite part of that was the "not to offend you." That's classic.

Here is the lyrics to the Tim and Faith duet, sounds powerful, can't wait to hear it.
LIKE WE NEVER LOVED AT ALL
You never looked so good As you did last night Underneath the city lights There walking with your friend Laughing at the moon I swear you looked right through me
But I’m still living with your goodbye And you’re just going on with your life
How can you just walk on by without one tear in your eye Don’t you have the slightest feelings left for me Maybe that’s just your way of dealing with the pain Forgetting everything between our rise and fall Like we never loved at all
You, I hear you’re doing fine Seems like you’re doing well As far as I can tell Time is leaving us behind Another week has passed And still I haven’t laughed yet
So tell me what your secret is ( I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know) To letting go like you did
How can you just walk on by without one tear in your eye Don’t you have the slightest feelings left for me Maybe that’s just your way of dealing with the pain Forgetting everything between our rise and fall Like we never loved at all
Did you forget the magic? Did you forget the passion? Do you ever miss me? Ever long to kiss me?
Maybe that’s just your way of dealing with the pain Forgetting everything between our rise and fall Like we never loved at all

I have now heard the complete song, and it is a monster hit waiting to be released. IMO the best thing they have ever done together. Beautiful, doesn't give it enough credit, Faith's voice is gentle but powerful, Tim's voice is filled with pain, there is a sadness, an ache in their performance. People are gong to be blown away by this one. Heads above anything they have ever done, it is a sad, heartbreak song , NOT another, "It's Yor Love". THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE HUGE. And it is country. This will become one of the classic duets.
Everybody can relate to this song at least once in their life.

The "duet" or more collaboration is upbeat. It's a love song, but it's not a ballad. Well, it's a mix. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet though. I have also heard "Sunshine and Summertime", "Stealing Kisses", and "Fireflies". It is definetly country, although I would have like more steel..

Shania fan you defintley have not heard the duet at all with how you describe it. I have 4 of the songs the complete songs.
The duet is called "Like We Never Loved Before" is not uptempo it is not a love song. It is a awesome, heartbreaking song, where a relationship is over and one person has moved on with their life and the other is still trying to say goodbye. The first time Faith almost whisper in a soft voice, "Like We never Loved Befor" will make you cry. This will be a classic and is country.
The song Fireflies is one I just love, she sounds great. "Stealing Kisses" has the style of the song, "Secret of Life". "Sunshine and Summertime" is just downright catchy and fun.
The four songs I've heard are just the opposite of Cry. The production is scare and her voice is the center point and there is NO screaming in them four songs. She uses her voice in a subtle way. People are going to love this and you can mark my word.

This is all true. Just to use examples of sound, it to me is very much "Martina" meets "Up!"..still could have more steel

You are wrong again Shania fan, like I've said I have all four of them songs and have listen to them many, many times in the last week. There is 100% nothing at all that resembles UP, nothing at all. In fact all the songs remind me of the style of her album Faith. These 4 songs are not pop and the two Lori songs Fireflies and Stealing Kisses almost have a folk feel to them.
The best way to describe Stealing Kisses is listen Faith's song, "Secert of Life", it is that style.
You are misleading people completely when you compared these 4 songs at all too Shania's album UP there is NOTHING at all like the songs on this album.
I see you didn't mention the duet and how you were wrong in describing it. It doesn't matter the radio premerie is on the 28th and 29th, and people will be able to decide for themselves. She is going te back in a big way with this album on country radio.

Faith is not the end-all of everything. I'm a HUGE fan, but everyone is entitled to their opinions. Maybe they do hear some resemblance to Up? (Although I personally probably wouldn't make that comparison). Every time someone posts their opinion about Tim or Faith, you say it is "wrong." No it's not. It is their opinion. Please let people have them.

The reason I said UP is because this album most definetly isn't "There's More Where That Came From". Is it country? Yes, but it's the same country on Breathe and Shania's and Martina's albums. I haven't listened to the whole duet, but it's not a slow song..
And musicfan is right, and btw, don't expect everyone here to love the album. I know there are some Faith haters here.
One more note, I will buy the album, but I was hoping for more "Mississippi Girl" stuff, the 4 songs I heard aren't like that, the high power music stuff. Good, but MG is better.
