How well do you guys think Don't Let Me Down will stick around and how will it do on the yearend chart? Dunno how to compare it to "Roses"'s run, the two could be the Top 2 Dance/Electronic songs of 2016. Though "Never Forget You" could go Top 5 on Hot 100 before summer officially starts. NFY will not be top 5 on the Hot 100. It'll be a miracle if it makes top 10.

Looks like Summer 16 will barely miss the cut or be very close to it. Should have released it in Summer.

^ Because it has a bullet. Oops, I meant why it had a bullet. You're normally someone who knows what's going on in the bottom 50 and I have no idea why it is back up.

Stitches has one week left and that's all it needs to move ahead of Hotline Bling.
Love Yourself will overtake Hello at #2 after one more week.
JT's Can't Stop The Feeling should debut in or around the top 75 next week.
Kevin Gates' Really Really rallies and avoids going recurrent with weekly gains in all 3 metrics... increasing it's YE100 chances significantly.
Drake's Summer Sixteen just need one more week and it was denied. It's still got a shot of making the official list. For now, anyway.
Ghost Town DJ's My Boo just missed Bubbling Under this week. It'll be interesting to see if this turns into a promoted radio re-release.

Actually, looking at the Hot 100 this week had a lot of songs that just kinda went up out of nowhere. Moolah Record Year Law Head Over Boots Body Might Not Really Really The Sound Of Silence Mind Reader My Church Snapback Cut It Never Forget You
none of these really make much sense. Maybe it has something to do with hype for Prince, Beyonce, and Drake stealing the show from these songs and now that they are fading these songs are having normal chart runs again?

I think that's the case for a decent amount of these, however there were still a few songs in particular that randomly regained a ton of steam that I'm not quite sure about.

^ It is because nearly a dozen Beyonce and Drake tracks fell off (while others had steep drops). Some of the above mentioned songs have bullets, while some don't and just moved up by default. Several re-entries for the same reason. I think we can probably expect a lot of album tracks to chart these days with the current chart formula and consumer habits when it comes to some of these big guns releasing albums. Not every big act and certainly not every song, but a fair amount... especially when there's a surprise or less traditional album release/rollout. Every song I mentioned has a bullet this week I think

so Close is actually in 88, I love it, we still have bma to boost the song for a higher peak in song's week 9 on the chart, and later Today show and album release boost, to keep the song higher in it's week 12, after if I don't know what will happen, if radio falls, it won't spend more than 20 weeks, but I believe in Nick's potential, just hopping Paul McCartney don't ruin his 1 on billboard 200 with his Pure McCartney.

Wow NO is bleeding hard; I honestly am not sure it can even make top 40 year-end...
Do you think ITAPII has a decent shot at year-end top 20 at least?

If Love Yourself is the no.1 song of 2016, then it would be the weakest year-end no.1 since Bad Day in 2006

It's just further proof that weekly peaks are only part of the story, and the point values behind each position can be really close. There are MANY #2 peaking songs that performed better than #1 songs when we look at the big picture.

Yeah, I do overall prefer Lights over Whistle (though Whistle is a lot catchier to me and performed slightly better on my chart) and Counting Stars over Timber, but keep in mind that "better" is a subjective term when it comes to music so someone else may feel differently.

It finished higher on the year-end chart, but SYA had a bunch of points in 2016 that didn't count for the year end. There's also the 52 week rule not being introduced until a few weeks after it should've killed TOL. Does anyone have the point totals for both songs?

Honestly the 52 week rule probably did not take any weeks away from either song. See You Again was at 49 and Thinking Out Loud was at 45 and then the next week there were 4-5 Bieber debuts and a Voice debut ahead of it so it probably would finally have left.

Damn :/ well at least TOL ended up holding off SYA on the 2015 year-end chart I'm pretty sure that without the 52/25 rule TOL would've had more points. Another reason why I'm so against it - it results in a less accurate chart
