March 10, 2015 LUKE BRYAN- SPRING BREAK 7!!!!! I realize this is probably not a reliable site for releases but thought it was worth pointing out as it has releases for Easton Corbin amd Montgomery Gentry for both 3/24/15 and then Josh Turner for 3/31/15 which are ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!! www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/sales_ur.cgi

Plus, it looks like there's already a title for Mr. Corbin's new CD. It's tentatively called It's About To Get Real.

And if I'm not mistaken "The Best Of Me" was the song he wrote with George Jones in mind and performed at his funeral service....

They have industry contacts who feed them a lot of their info, especially regarding the schedule of upcoming album releases. Now obviously I'm not saying it's 100% guaranteed that the albums for Easton, MG, and Josh will come out on those dates, but I think it's quite likely that Hits got word from the labels (UMG for Easton and Josh, Blaster for MG) that these are the 'tentative' dates they're shooting for.

None of their songs right now have really taken off(In MG's case they're near done). If it was Chase Bryant, Maddie and Tae, or even *gulp* Raelynn then i could understand. And wow holy crap the first albums of 2015 so far aren't until March?!? Damn usually Janurary and Februrary have something....

And wow holy crap the first albums of 2015 so far aren't until March?!? Damn usually Janurary and Februrary have something.... Darius Rucker's new album is rumored to drop on February 10. I'll bet Toby Keith's 35 mph Town comes out before March, too, regardless of how "Drunk Americans" does at radio. Now, as for the other three here...Montgomery Gentry probably won't score a huge hit, but Blaster Records will likely release their album anyway. And both Easton and Josh probably won't get their albums out until they score a top 20 (or better) single; fortunately, "Baby Me My Love Song" should be top 30 on tomorrow's Billboard chart, and Josh's "Lay Low" is finally catching on as well (last week it was #43, but on tomorrow's chart, it might be as high as #33). So I think there's a pretty good chance that UMG will stick with these two singles, and it's definitely possible for them to be navigating through the top 20 by the time late March rolls around.

kenmortonjr: Correct on one item off the top of my mind. And to add to that, Kristian had his last recording yesterday - no word on if it was a full song or just adding some new vocals. But his social media/website person/tour manager tweeted about them (KB, her and probably the producer/record label head Bryon Gallimore) listening to everything through to put together the track listing last night. I don't want to post her tweet due to it being her personal account and all but it makes me think we could see the album in the spring, at least earliest point. Also worth noting: Little Big Town (capital) is setting aside time next year to record a holiday album - source 1 and source 2. Jennifer Nettles (umg) is set to record and release her second solo album she's been writing since this summer - source 1 & source 2 mentioned on Access Hollywood earlier this month .

Hunter Hayes Is Working on New Music Over the Holidays
Hunter Hayes had big plans over his holiday break, and thankfully for his fans, they involved some new music. “I just got a little bit of time to be creative in my little studio at home,” Hayes tells ABC News Radio. ”Got some writers that are coming out to hang.” Hayes wrapped up his Tattoo (Your Name) Tour in London, Ontario, in mid-December, and while some artists may enjoy a break after being on the road, Hayes doesn’t plan on getting too comfortable in his own home. “I’m always wanting to be on the road,” he concedes, “so for me to be away from that for a minute … is probably a good thing, even though I don’t want to admit that.” The ‘Tattoo’ singer’s new year is already off to a promising start. Hayes is nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance, for his song ‘Invisible.’ “To be nominated for a Grammy is one of the most exciting things that can happen in your career,” Hayes says. “For ‘Invisible’ to be nominated is so special for me and my co-writers and the phenomenal team who recorded this record. This is one of the happiest days of my career so far.” Hayes will kick off 2015 with two shows, on Jan. 2 and Jan. 6, at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, to benefit Alive Hospice. ***PLEASE DO NOT RE-RELEASE STORYLINE*** Read More: Hunter Hayes Is Working on New Music Over the Holidays | theboot.com/hunter-hayes-new-music/?trackback=tsmclip

***PLEASE DO NOT RE-RELEASE STORYLINE*** This. I hated the way they did that with his debut album and I will cringe if they do that again. Looking forward to new music from Hunter and to see him come back from his sophomore slump, but I believe moving on to the third record is in his best interest and will also make me and a lot of other people happier. I'd rather not have to re-buy his album (and I doubt I would if they pulled that w/ him again anyway). Glad that's he already working on stuff though!

Not really an album but close enough. Country Weekly says that Trace Adkins will release a live concert DVD titled "Live Country" on Janurary 13th. It says it has a 20 song set that imcludes hits such as "You're Gonna Miss This", "Ladies Love Country Boys", "Honkytonk Badonkadonk", among others. It will also include an in-depth interview with Trace

Haven't watched it yet but their productions have been very solid. --- As for a HH "extended" or "deluxe edition" I doubt that. More than likely they'd work towards a 4th Q release of a new album rather than tack on new stuff to the current album.

I haven't heard any tracklisting for their new independent album as of yet. rsmatto said it was slated for release in February I believe in the sub-forum. February 10th to be exact. BTW: Stop changing your screen name. It's confusing the heck out of me. Lol

Not really an album related post, but DVD related. Shania Twain's Las Vegas residency was filmed for a live DVD release. According to Amazon.com the DVD will be released on February 10th through Eagle Rock enterainment. Shania's camp/Sandbox Entertainment/Murcurey have not said a word about this. I was going to call Sandbox tomorrow to verify. Is there anyone can tell me if this is true. The TV special aired on December 31st in Norway and will re-air on February 1st. The DVD is rumored to air later this month in the US and Canada. No official date or network has been announced for that either. I was able to see a clip of the DVD special and Shania sounds fantastic. Amazon Link: www.amazon.com/Still-One-Blu-ray-Shania-Twain/dp/B00REK1ZJO/?tag=viglink20327-20

SCOTTY MCCREERY TRADES POP FOR CLASSIC COUNTRY ON NEW LPFor his next album, Scotty McCreery is ready to take his signature deep-barrel baritone down a more classically country road — because the "Feelin' It" singer is hoping to feel a few less pop hooks and few more banjo strums in his evolving sound. "We just had the meeting with the label and the album is a go," McCreery tells Rolling Stone Country. "And I'm going to make a country music record. That's what I had to try to convey to the label and they were all for it. The stuff I grew up with was that kind of music — I want to have some depth and portray a different side." Since he burst into public consciousness with his rendition of Josh Turner's "Your Man" delivered in notes so low it was as chuckle-inducing as it was impressive for a teenage kid from North Carolina, McCreery has cut a steady string of singles that mix his love of traditional Nashville with a twangy teen-appropriate gloss common to American Idol alums. But he's hidden little hints on past records, like "Carolina Moon" from 2013's See You Tonight, that give an indication to where he hopes to go sonically. "I have songs like that one where I have Alison Krauss doing background vocals," he says, "and those are my favorite songs I've ever done. So I'll play the game a little, but I'm going to try to stay true to what I love." Many of McCreery's American Idol choices reflected these roots: George Strait, Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt, among them. McCreery is heading into studio this month in Nashville, and his next single will be from the forthcoming record, expected in the third or fourth quarter of 2015. Another difference this go-round? McCreery is planning on co-writing many of the tracks himself. "I love songwriting, it's a way to explore what's going on upstairs," he says, a practice he's honed just by surrounding himself with Nashville's top names in the craft, like Ashley Gorley, Ross Copperman and busbee. "These writers are the world's best, and I just try to pick up little things they do. Most of the time, it starts with a guitar." After a mixed reception to See You Tonight, which failed to reach the platinum numbers of his 2011 debut, Clear as Day, McCreery's ready to focus more on the music and less on the constant demands of pleasing radio. "We're going to try and make an album — we're not looking for a quick single," he says in that unmistakable tone. "Honestly, we're starting at ground zero." www.rollingstone.com/music/news/scotty-mccreery-trades-pop-for-classic-country-on-new-lp-20150105?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterAfter getting to know Scotty a little bit, this does not surprise me. He bleeds traditional Country music and it's what he's wanted to do since he started out, to write his own traditional songs! I'm so happy he's finally got the go ahead to do it and I can't wait to hear this album! Artists who have sustaining careers are the ones to do it "their way" and think about radio second. It's always a risk but the reward is always great when it succeeds. I think Scotty will end up very happy at the end of this process. Especially since Bro-Country is being shown the door, more real Country may be given a greater chance again.

I am very excited for Scotty McCreery's next record, especially after hearing that he's going to keep it country! His last album was fantastic imo and most of the record was pretty heavy on the country, especially the ballads. So I'm glad to hear that he's going to continue to delve deeper into that, since (for me) the countrier it sounds, the better. Definitely looking forward to his new music later this year.

Glad that McCreery isn't going the Taylor Swift way for his next album. Scotty couldn't go full Pop if his life depended on it. This boy loves his traditional Country. In fact he pays tribute to it every night on stage. God I can't wait to hear his own traditional music that he's writing!
