I'd be stunned if Biebs opens with over 100k.. But I was VERY wrong with Beyoncé so we'll see. It's a real wild card. He released 10 of the songs in advance...but this has 5 new songs and videos. Also, it is timed with iTunes giftcards...so it could be pretty big. If he released the 10 songs let's say in Feb/March and released the whole album in april, I don't think it would do much

200k for an acoustic album? :'( King of Pop. Michael Jackson just rolled over in his grave. He was probably turned on too.

Amazing for Beyonce, what do we think she can do for the 23rd-29th tracking week? My guess is 240k.

areyoureadytojumpI'm fairly certain that my statement is correct. She will have (or have already) passed 1 million before reaching 14 days of release.

The Robertsons will have a 45K lead (or so) for 2013 top Christmas album through 12/22 with only the 3 days prior to Christmas still uncounted. Then all that is left after that would be discount sales which may last a week or so. Except for discounts, people won't be buying Christmas albums after today

I've been following the charts for 7 years now. I'm sure I understand how HITS and Soundscan work.
You seem to have missed both of my points. Let me break it down for you:
1. I don't need your reminders. You're a broken record. We're well aware that nothing is "official" until reported by Soundscan. 2. It doesn't matter if the Soundscan number is lower. I would still be correct. BEYONCÉ will not have reached its 14th day of release until 12/27. She will have undoubtedly crossed the million mark by then.*
*Sure, there's a small chance that I'm wrong, but that's irrelevant. I'm not wrong.

Some to date totals: Celine Dion 206k Very poor. No matter how you look at it. Thank god the album is doing much better elsewhere.

Well obviously she doesn't have any videos in UK or France or Germany either...
VH1 plays the live video of Loved Me Back to Life a lot, by the way.

Dion performed on The Voice last week, and had a holiday special. her label, probably wisely, isn't trying to push her at top 40 radio, as the chances of her getting played much is slim.
Katy Perry's album looks to have had a decent bump.

So in Diva terms Beyonce=Wal Mart Katy Perry=Target Lady GaGa=Best Buy Britney Spears=Buck or Less That would mean that Beyonce is filled with low wage workers and Duck Dynasty merchandise. and...? you pressed because Bey knows how to make that coin while all the other faves stay thirsty? bow down to thy QING.

Now if you took offence to the Katy part i can see it but why does a urban album succeeding and me being happy make you feel all sorts of ways? curious. Anyways as for your factual inefficiency others have already addressed so .....

4's 1.3 mil > Circus's 1.7 mil in 2008 currency. Calibration matters.

That's what it feels like in my apartment. Got dangit, thankGod for the heater. Anyway, yada yada, Beyonce > Britney, practically since 2003. Britney had a breakdown, Beyonce went solo. Britney released Gimme More, Beyonce scored headlines and movie roles. Britney found success again with Circus, Beyonce dominated female pop in 2009 alongside Gaga & Swift. Britney got hits off of Femme Fatale, Beyonce still sold more albums and made more money according to Forbes, Britney released "Werk Bitch", Beyonce embarked on a sold-out world tour and is still adding dates due to popular demand. Don't get me wrong, Britney had a great run and played he "Reigning Princess of Pop" part right, but every Queen must meet it's end. Ask Madonna, ask Michael. The great thing about Beyoncé taking command of pop culture is that she's both KING and Queen Bey, becoming the first ever Qing. Let's have a moment of silence for Britney, she can still have a career and the Hive should leave her alone. But the Army should stop acting like we're still in 2003 or that Blackout's influence on pop music is even relevant anymore. This is Qing Bey's domain now. Still Army, I got love for you. At least you're not as delusional as those X fans, amirite?

Probably a little beyond that too.
Until Springsteen hits, a change at #1 might not happen
