I still listen to "Kitchen" and "In The Morning," and that's pretty much it. "In The Morning" is great but Toni did it even better. Anyway, Love & Life isn't half as bad as its rap. And can we stop for a minute to show some love for "Ooh"? One of her very best post-90's moments. "Love @ 1st Sight" is up there too honestly. It's actually quite sad how she had one of her biggest eras with Breakthrough- she was omnipresent and seemed unstoppable- only for her to struggle since then. Nothing since 2006-era Mary has interested me in the slightest until right now. (Read: "Right Now" see what I did there?)

I don't think Mary has ever made a bad album. I think Love & Life and Stronger stand alone in that at least half of the finished product was kind of a dud, not bad but just bland.
I still listen to Kitchen, In the Morning, The One, I Am, I Love U and Tonight off of Stronger.

I still listen to "Kitchen" and "In The Morning," and that's pretty much it. There's a version of "In The Morning" out there with Toni Braxton's vocals. I like that one better... I don't think Mary has ever made a bad album. I think Love & Life and Stronger stand alone in that at least half of the finished product was kind of a dud, not bad but just bland. I still listen to Kitchen, In the Morning, The One, I Am, I Love U and Tonight off of Stronger. You do realize that's like half of SWET, right? I think if the best tracks from Stronger & My Life (II) would've been a single album, it would've been absolutely killer quality, regardless of chart success.

But the other half of the album (plus the bonus tracks) ranged between mediocre to bad? That's why I said at least half of the album was bland?

I think my least favorite is Growing Pains. I never got into many of the songs, the production sounds too processed or sth. *shrugs*

www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgiMUCH O’ BLIGE: Q4 is on, baby. Capitol will release Mary J. Blige’s The London Sessions on 12/2, it was announced today. The soul siren’s new set finds her collaborating with leading lights of U.K. music like Sam Smith, Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Disclosure, Eg White and more. Capitol chief Steve Barnett, whose flair for uniting U.S. and U.K. musical currents we’ve noted elsewhere, called Blige “one of the most successful and acclaimed artists in any genre” and praised The London Sessions as “a fantastic album, another step forward for this great and enduring artist.” Smith, who co-wrote lead single “Therapy” with Blige and White (hitting iTunes on 9/23), called the set “number one, the bravest thing, and number two, just so honest.” Blige will perform at London’s iTunes Festival on 9/25. (9/9a)

I don't like the lighting effect and how the text looks blurred. I see what they were going for, and they missed the mark.

This is really counted as her next album or just a side project?

I don't like the collaborator's names on the front.

Yeah it would be fine if it was just Mary in the booth but the collaborators' names make it look bad.
So is this being billed as a Mary studio album? Or a one off side project?

Pretty sure that's not the album cover... Whoops! I saw it on twitter and on music blogs, so I thought I'd post. Thank God it's not the cover, because it sucks. Anyway, I wonder if there will be any features on this record? It's supposed to be 10 tracks, but is it all Mary or are there any guests on it like on the majority of her albums? I'm curious to see if she specifically collaborated with any British rappers, like Tinie Tempah, since she recorded the album in London.

"Therapy" sounds like it could be a cute bop, if that beat picks up.

"Right Now" has grown on me. I am actually loving the production. I just wish it had a stronger hook because it would really make this song a killer.

"Right Now" is infinitely more interesting than the "Therapy" clip sounds like imo.

Oh WOW. This should be epic. She doesn't like Charlemagne because he called her "vintage vagina."
