Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer. One of the few diva duets that turned into pop gold. I can't picture them topping that song, but we'll see.

That snippet sounds really catchy, especially the "I can't remember to forget you" parts; I had forgotten how much I had missed Shakira's voice <3 The instrumental sounds more on She Wolf's side than Where Have You Been's but that's not saying much because it does not bear a striking resemblance to the former's instrumental whatsoever. Excited to listen to this on Monday, thanks for posting #Joseph.T! :)

It sounds like a really rough No Doubt demo.

Ohh now this is different. I like it. It's like a better version of that Smurf song from Britney Spears.

Definitely has a ska influence in the verses, as Gold Soundz mentioned. Reminds me a little bit of Maroon 5 too. I'm not blown away, but I don't think it's bad or a total flop. There should, at the very least, be a lot of initial hype behind this because of the pairing.

Based on that clip, I don't hear 'Where Have You Been' & 'She Wolf' teas, which is a good thing. Just saying whoever gave off those teas, this guy couldn't hear 'em. Maybe I need to hear the whole song. Like it's been said above me, I hear more ND & M5 than anything.

It just sounds like a Shakira song. Pretty bland, based on the clip. Was hoping it would be more 'Where Have You Been' than anything.

The song sounds promising. Its not what people expect though. From the leaks, the song got me by surprise. #1, the source was trolling us. He was the first to leak information on an Avril album. That's why people believed him. But what he described does not sounds like the song that's leaking. #2, I can't picture them dancing to this in BIKINIS. I definitely need to listen to the full song to get a better feel of it. But, its definitely not what anyone was expecting. #3, this was leaked by "flopshakila." That does make me wonder a bit about the clips.

I can't lie, if that's really the song I'm very underwhelmed. :/

I've been so anticipated for this lately. From what I heard from the sample I like & I can't wait to hear the full version once it's released.

I was expecting a very catchy and dancy chorus, but all i heard was Ooooh Oooh. That is so Owl City's Good Time with a repeatitive lyrics. I hope Rihanna's part is better.

There should, at the very least, be a lot of initial hype behind this because of the pairing. Shakira's been taking pointers from Adam, I see... This should be interesting when the next season of The Voice rolls around... *coughs* Remix with Adam *coughs* Not totally blown away by it yet... it sounds like a combination of "Don't Bother" and "Lucky Strike".

It sounds pretty good to me. I think this will mash perfectly with "Applause", "Girl Gone Wild", "Let There Be Love", etc.

That does make me wonder a bit about the clips. I think this may be a demo ?? Didn't someone say that Shakira had already registered this song several months ago? Maybe she had recorded it and we are listening to the older Shakira-only version? Otherwise, yeah, I don't here She Wolf meets Where Have You Been at all. In terms of Shakira's quality music. YES!! I like several of her songs from the past 13 years, including Whenever Wherever (this one specially because it is inspired in music from Peru and Bolivia ) and Underneath Your Clothes... but I have particular soft spot for her older hits. She had the most amazing back-to-back eras of a Latin female artist in my personal chart, and overall in the charts of Peru and other countries. She had 3 of the top 15 songs of the decade in my chart -and at least in the top 20 back home- all of them showing high quality and diversity specially for the Latin market: Estoy Aqui, her massive (international) debut single, which was the #1 song of the year in several Latin charts, and among the biggest hits of the decade Inevitable, the second single of her sophomore album, showing a harder rocker image Ojos Asi, the fourth single of her sophomore album, where she showcases her dancing abilities and incorporates non-Latin fusion for the first time Although all these songs were Pop, they still had some edge that differentiated them from the typical mainstream pop of the time, which made them stand out. That's the element that I am still missing from Shakira... so when I heard that she is going back to her more rock elements, it made me quite excited!! I'm all for good organic Shakira music

Hmm yeah, sounds pretty generic. Not revolutionary at all. Plus choruses that start with the title repeated like usually don't make sustainable impact. Underwhelming snippet for me. Can't wait to hear Hookannah's part though.

Plus choruses that start with the title repeated like usually don't make sustainable impact. Rihanna herself is a notable example of making it work.
