Not a fan of the Terri Clark song, but the others are all great. I'm a sucker for anything Pat Green, and that's easily Big & Rich's strongest single. Shelly Fairchild has one helluva voice.

Do We Still is an amazing song. I couldn't believe that Rockie didn't take off.

Random Video Of The Day:
Artist: Carlene Carter Single: "Every Little Thing" Writers: Carlene Carter, Al Anderson Album: Little Love Letters Label: Giant Records Video Director: Adam Bernstein Year Released: May 20th, 1993 Radio and Records Peak: #3 Billboard Peak: #3
"Every Little Thing" was the final top 10 single from Carlene Carter in 1993. What's funny is all three of her top 10's peaked at #3 on Billboard with "I Fell In Love" and "Come On Back". Al Anderson helped Carlene write this song and has many co-writing credits over the years including "Unbelievable" by Diamond Rio, "We're Makin' Up" by Hot Apple Pie, "The Cowboy In Me" by Tim McGraw, "Every Time I Fall In Love" by The Farm, "Groovy Little Summer Song" by James Otto, "Big Deal" by LeAnn Rimes, and "Love's Gonna Make It Alright" by George Strait. Here's one of the chart weeks on R&R during "Every Little Thing's" top 10 chart run.
Week Ending: 7/30/1993
1. Brooks & Dunn - We'll Burn That Bridge 2. Mark Chesnutt - It Sure Is Monday 3. Tracy Lawrence - Can't Break It To My Heart 4. Doug Stone - Why Didn't I Think Of That 5. Carlene Carter - Every Little Thing 6. Little Texas - What Might Have Been 7. Doug Supernaw - Reno 8. Restless Heart - We Got The Love 9. Hal Ketchum - Mama Knows The Highway 10. ^My favorite from Carlene Carter. Thanks. I touched on her last year when I saluted Southern Pacific's first top ten, Reno Bound (#9 in 1986). Carter's first top 40 hit was a duet with them called Time's Up (#26 in 1990). Carter should have been a bigger star than from the three top tens she was able to score during the 1990s. Too bad she never saw the top 40 after Every Little Thing.
I see Brooks & Dunn got to #1 MediaBase with a #2 peaking Billboard hit, We'll Burn That Bridge. Another slight difference in the two charts is the Restless Heart song, We Got The Love. How high did that get at MediaBase? It peaked at #11 at Billboard.

Random Video Of The Day: Part II
Artist: Billy Ray Cyrus Single: "Busy Man" Writers: Bob Regan, George Teren Album: Shot Full Of Love Label: Mercury Nashville Producer: Keith Stegall Year Released: August 25th, 1998 Radio and Records Peak: #3 Billboard Peak: #3
"Busy Man" was the first top 10 single that Billy Ray Cyrus had in 5 years ("Somebody New"). The first single off his Full Shot Of Love album would bomb at radio ("Time For Letting Go"). Billy Ray would meet the top 10 one final time in early 2008 with "Ready, Set, Don't Go" with his daughter Miley Cyrus. This song was on all the time when I was a little kid and instantly brings me back to being in elementary school again. Just pure awesome nostalgia and probably my favorite Billy Ray song with "Some Gave All" and "Could've Been Me" up there as well.
Week Ending: 3/12/1999
1. Dixie Chicks - You Were Mine 2. Kenny Chesney - How Forever Feels 3. Billy Ray Cyrus - Busy Man 4. Trisha Yearwood - Powerful Thing 5. George Strait - Meanwhile 6. Brooks & Dunn - I Can't Get Over You 7. Mark Chesnutt - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing 8. Lee Ann Womack - I'll Think Of A Reason Later 9. Chad Brock - Ordinary Life 10. Sara Evans - No Place That Far 11. Alabama - Keepin' Up 12. Mark Wills - Wish You Were Here 13. Alan Jackson - Gone Crazy 14. Faith Hill - Love Ain't Like That 15. Sawyer Brown - Drive Me Wild 16. Collin Raye - Anyone Else 17. Ty Herndon - Hands Of A Working Man 18. Kinleys - Somebody's Out There Watching 19. Patty Loveless - Can't Get Enough 20. Terri Clark - Everytime I Cry

It was a FREE show, no less.

It's good to see the Restless Heart song that buffalocountry mentioned at least made top 10 somewhere. Speaking of which, do you happen to know where it's predecessor, "Mending Fences", peaked in R&R? That one missed the Billboard top 10 as well.

^ You know what's funny is I promised myself I wouldn't screw that up and I ended up mixing them up anyway.
"You Were Mine" I liked better too. Oh well, perhaps I should be thankful I don't have more typos with the number of charts I type...

In Billboard, Garth Brooks peaked at #2 behind Clint Black's When My Ship Comes In. I do not see that one on this chart (I know it's a MediaBase chart).

The Gibson Miller Band was at #21 with "Righ Rollin'". Never heard of them to be honest...

Personally I find Billboard to be the overall better chart that far back because of the fact that R&R it was pretty much spin based only. Post 1998 I find the R&R chart to be much better than it was before. The only thing I hated about BB back then was the fact certain songs would take forever to go away after losing their bullets in the top 20. Finally they changed it to a top 15, then a top 10 after songs like "If You're Going Through Hell" would just not go away after hitting #1 which is a big reason why so many singles had such large discrepancies from August to October of 2006.

Here's the following week. Still a lot of differences! BILLBOARD TOP TEN FOR WEEK ENDING APRIL 10, 1993: 1. The Heart Won't Lie-Reba McEntire and Vince Gill-MCA 2. Nobody Wins-Radney Foster-Arista 3. When My Ship Comes In-Clint Black-RCA 4. Learning To Live Again-Garth Brooks-Capitol 5. Hard Workin' Man-Brooks & Dunn-Arista 6. She's Not Cryin' Anymore-Billy Ray Cyrus-Mercury 7. Ol' Country-Mark Chesnutt-MCA 8. She Don't Know She's Beautiful-Sammy Kershaw-Mercury 9. Alibis-Tracy Lawrence-Atlantic 10. Heartland-George Strait-MCA And that's probably a reason that R&R switched to a points based system eventually. No wonders the Rodney Atkins hit was the biggest in 2006. It debuted in January, hit the top in August, and finally departed the chart in November (at #10) after 43 weeks on. He replicated the feat in 2007 with Watching You.

I honestly can't recall any other song I genuinely enjoyed from the beginning to flat out can never take more than five seconds of now but "Watching You" is it.

It's haunting and it brings me back to the moment I first heard it every time I listen (which is still quite often). I'm not a huge fan of the video - which I think is because I have such a vivid imagery of the story in my head that any video never would have sufficed. Thank you Sabre for posting it! I've listened to it 3 times since I loaded this page.

I remember reading somewhere that before he released Austin, that him and his label that that Austin might make the top 20, and All Over Me would be a big hit. Kinda opposite happened lol.

Decided on four songs from this chart week in the summer of 2005. Two serious ballads, and two fun one's. :) The Craig and Neal one's were two diddy's that I loved hearing that summer and WYRK actually added "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On" pretty early on in it's chart run. "You'll Be There" remains in my top 5 all time King George songs and this is when Blake was releasing music that I enjoyed. It was also a cover of Conway Twitty's top 10 hit.
