Confirmed by her most reliable fan site as her fourth single.
Confirmed by Katy Perry Lately.

What site is that?
Blah. At least it's not This Is How We Do. I bet the "big balloons" line because gif/meme of the century.

This is the most Teenage Dream single from the album. Sounds very 2010-2011. Should definitely be a Top 10 following "Dark Horse". Not sure about another #1 though.

Calling it now, another underperformer for her. Will do better than Unconditionally, but I don't think by a lot.

Hmm..just going strictly by momentum on my end. Its typically Katy Perry fluff pop with no substance fare so I don't really see a reason why radio won't eat it up.

Good choice! I expect a California Girls-esque video for huge streaming.

Expected. I loved the TD era so much, and I enjoyed every single (except WA), but with this era everything is so uneventfully and evidently scheduled that nothing is exiting or interesting at all.

Hmmm, I project this will peak at #13. I think this will fail to hit the top 10 tbh. This will underperform, I'm almost certain, but with her audience there is no chance that this will flop, especially after how massive "Dark Horse" was.

It's my second favorite out of everything left (I only prefer Walking On Air). It should do well. Blah. At least it's not This Is How We Do. That's arguably her worst song ever.

This is way more accessible and radio-friendly that "Unconditionally". If that peaked at number 9, this is an easy top 5. It's fun, catchy, and a great single for the spring. I'm not worried in the slightest. Number one will depend on timing, competition, promo, video, etc. but it's certainly possible, especially following the monster that is "Dark Horse".

Expected, but I'm still disappointed. I hope it does just as well to get other singles off PRISM like "Legendary Lovers", "This Is How We Do" or even "Walking On Air".

This just feels dated. I'm not a huge expert on Pop radio trends but this just SOUNDS like Summer 2011. She's made it to the top of the charts with mediocre material for most of her career so I won't be terribly surprised if this does well but it just doesn't really sound contemporary to me.

I think Birthday will do well for a single. Definitely will make the Top 10. Not sure if it will be #1 but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Would love to see a music video for this song with Katy Beth Terry again.

Predictable. Should go top 10, but I want Walking On Air or Legendary Lovers next!!

You know, this was probably tied for my favourite song (with "International Smile") from Prism that I had enough interest to listen to that I thought had a chance at being released as a single.
Granted, the other choices I had were "WOA" and "TIHWD", the former already being the less popular promo single and the latter being annoying just for the "It's no big deal!" stuff before the hook.

Oh god no. This will do worse than "Unconditionally." It's just so bland and probably my least favorite track on the album tbh.

One of my least favorite songs on the album, but that doesn't mean anything. I hope it'll do moderately well then die quickly, so they can move on to a smash summer single.

This is my favorite song on the album and one of my favorite songs of hers in general. I hope it smashes.

This will do really well. It's safe but had edge, and I imagine the video will be classic Katy. Perfect Spring single IMO

I don't think it's a bad choice but I don't think it's the best. I feel like the only one who's behind International Lover (but he's liking it ;) ;) ) but I would like one of the album's latter tracks too. Ghost or something.

That said, I'm surprised that people are predicting this to underperform. I don't think it will be as enormous as Roar or Dark Horse, but give radio a Katy song they can dance to, and they'll do everything in their power to get to to the top spot. I don't think it's a great song, but it's fun and bouncy and I'm sure the video will be bright and breasty and so this should do well. I don't think it will get to #1 on the Hot 100, but missing the top ten at Pop? That would be a surprise.

Ya'll crazy. "This Is How We Do" is the only guaranteed smash left on the album.
And people must be kidding about "Legendary Lovers."

This will do really well. It's safe but had edge, and I imagine the video will be classic Katy. Perfect Spring single IMO It's a playful song. First time I hear it since I never bought her last album so I'm going single by single. It does sound very much like another song of hers that I've heard. I cannot tell which... Anyway, I'm glad you like it. For sure though we have a completely different idea of what EDGE in music means. I would never associate this song with having edge at all. Not that the song is bad. It's just that in my opinion it has zero edge and it even sounds a bit bland and pretty much common ground. But, hey, we all have different opinions. I hope it does well for her!
