She literally just started her tour. No way they're scrapping the era.

Or just wrap up the era and record some new material. and throw WOA or LL ? NO Strange that the obvious pick, This is How We Do, is absent here. While I think it rivals Circle the Drain as one of the worst songs she's ever recorded (again, it sounds like something you'd see during a 90s aerobics commercial), I can sort of see the appeal of Walking on Air. But I just don't see Legendary Lover as a #1 record. Never even occurred to me as a single choice.

On a WW scale, PRISM is netting roughly $250,000 per week in revenue. If I was apart of the label and someone said it should end, I'd slap that bitch.

Its probably more than that with streaming of the songs, and single sales, the label possibly might get a cut of the tour, I wonder if she is on a 360 deal?

Oh I'm not even counting the tour, or even single sales, just album sales.

If they wanted them to be singles they should've released more than one song before the album came out. When the album comes out singles are a diminishing proposition after each one in.

When the album comes out singles are a diminishing proposition after each one in. Thats not always the case at all, especially Katy who is a single seller, and a huge streamer of videos, which accounts for a lot of money, as well as keeping the album afloat at 25,000 per week

Streaming provides very little revenue by all counts. In the early 2000s and before 25k each week wouldn't even land you in the Top 50 of the albums chart. Two underperforming singles in a row isn't a good look.

And streaming brings in quite a lot, between the Roar and Dark Horse videos on Youtube, that is already $5m USD. that doesnt count the other videos on youtube from PRISM, or any Spotify numbers.

The album hasn't even left the Top 40 yet. There is no reason at all to end the era.
Plus I want another Top 10 on CHR to put her into that very elite group.

Doesn't she already hold that? No, lol. Thriller, Bad, Faith, Rhythm Nation, Breakaway, True Blue, Fergie's album, Maroon 5's last album, maybe a Whitney or Mariah album. Teenage Dream, of course. Probably a Beatles or Bee Gees album. Bruce Springsteen. But that's about it. Katy does hold the record for most #1's from an album, which is 6. I think Janet holds the record for most Top 10's, which is 7.

Janet has 7 top 5 hits.
And didn't all her singles go top 10 from TD?? That's 7 right there.

I was not referring to Dark Horse at all.

Oh? Do U have a crystal ball? Don't need one. I said almost certain. I mean as a 5th single underperforming on some level is pretty much a given these days. LFN was an exception not the rule.

Doesn't she already hold that? Teenage Dream, of course. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure that was a Katy Perry album. Maybe I'm not understanding what elite group this is?

Just so you know, it wasn't that clear. I read what Spree read as well and thought you were referencing Dark Horse
