This wouldn't be my first choice as the follow up to "Follow Your Arrow" ("It Is What It Is," "Silver Lining," and "I Miss You" say hello), but this is definitely up there. I'm not expecting anything amazing for this song, but I do want it to go at least top 30. It's an absolute tragedy that "Follow Your Arrow" couldn't even make it into the top 40.

Excuse me Mods for going way off topic, but I just can't help myself........your Gravatar has got to be the best I've ever seen! On topic- I have a little more hope for Kacey's sound this summer when I see articles like the TOC article on Dan + Shay Read More: Dan + Shay: Country's New 'Bold' Hitmakers | tasteofcountry.com/dan-andshay-countrys-new-bold-hitmakers/?trackback=tsmcliptasteofcountry.com/dan-andshay-countrys-new-bold-hitmakers/ Kacey's had her own sound all along, so hopefully the pendulum will swing in her direction

I'm happy with this choice but I wasn't my first choice either. I was hoping for either "My House" or "Dandelion" but this is probably the safest choice while still making sure to be very representative of Kacey as an artist. Honestly though as long as they hadn't gone with "Stupid" I think they couldn't have made a bad choice.

No one mentioning "Back On the Map"?? That's one of the best country songs I've heard in years. Sensational

No one mentioning "Back On the Map"?? That's one of the best country songs I've heard in years. Sensational "Back On The Map" certainly gets my vote as the most under appreciated track on the album. I love the way that song was written. Very clever subject and lyrics. Though I still agree with the decision to release "Keep It To Yourself". To me it's the most radio friendly track remaining, and I would love for Kacey to build some momentum at radio so she can be a main stay for many years. That being said, I also believe "Silver Lining" would work as well at radio more so than others do. Hopefully "Keep It To Yourself" can get Kacey back to the top 20.

im gonna predict top 15 with this one! I know it is unlikely but her buzz is at a all time high and this my favorite song of her album. I think this song will move slow at first and then shoot high, at least i hope! But all and all whether this does well or not kacey has done a great job with her freshmen era and im still loving and listening to it a lot! lets hope for the best people!! :)

"Keep It To Yourself" gets 21 first week adds to make it the #3 most-added song this week. It's off to a better start in the major markets than "Follow Your Arrow," with adds from key players like Nashville, DC, Houston, Detroit, etc. Edit: Apparently it got 23 adds, not 21. The full-page ad from this week's Country Aircheck:

Loved the video she posted on her Instagram of her hearing the song on the radio for the first time. Can't wait to see a video for this! I really hope it's a big hit for her, and I'd love to see a performance of this on the ACMs next month.

Link for those who haven't seen it: http://instagram.com/p/lqsYqAjm3C I too hope she gets an ACM performance, and not half a song on the small stage but a full performance. She's one of the most nominated artists, including Female Vocalist, so I think she's earned it. "Keep It To Yourself" gets another 11 adds this week for a total of 34 adds so far. New stations include: KBEQ, KJKE, KNIX, KTTS, KWOF, WCTK, WGNE, WPOR, WQHK, WWGR, and WYCT.

I had to sadly laugh upon seeing her post that so soon in the song's run - just three weeks ago, she posted another Instagram video of her hearing "Follow Your Arrow" for the first time...on a Triple A station, Nashville's Lightning 100. Glad this one's off to a better start.

I love how happy she gets when she hears her songs on the radio. It's so charming and personable.

Have yet to hear this on the radio. I'm really hoping this can at least get into the the top 20 on country radio.

Kacey revealed today that she will have her own CMT Crossroads special with Katy Perry on June 13th! I wonder if KITY will be one of the songs they sing together...

This doesn't appear to be going anywhere. All Kacey's previous singles made it to their peak positions pretty quickly for a new artist, even FYA which zoomed through at least the 50's. I wonder if this is just the wrong single and Kacey doesn't have any momentum being four singles deep into a debut album, or if radio doesn't want to play her anymore after FYA. I can understand why programmers felt it might not be safe to play FYA, but there's no reason other than personal bias to not play any material from an artist because of one single. An artist should be able to test the water with something risky and then still get commercial success in the future.

Kacey has a ton of momentum right now, just not on country radio so they will be slower to pick it up.

Since we're talking about this song's performance on the radio airplay chart, when I said Kacey doesn't have any momentum I was referring to country radio. As for whether the song will pick up, I guess that's anyone's guess right now but I just don't see a fourth single from a new artist managing to climb the charts, even at a snail's pace. As you said, Kacey does have momentum in other areas and all these awards nominations she has received are certainly working in her favor, but she may have to just move on to new material soon.

As I said, though, it's a bit early to write this one off, considering it impacted radio less than a month ago (it was three weeks ago on Monday). As we've both agreed, Kacey is not "hot" on country radio right now, so it will take longer for her singles to pick up steam. Give this one some time, and if it hasn't picked up more another month from now then I will be concerned.

Am I the only one that wonders if her feud with Bobby Bones is slowing her spins on Clear Channel stations where he is the voice?

Am I the only one that wonders if her feud with Bobby Bones is slowing her spins on Clear Channel stations where he is the voice? That's crossed my mind as well, especially since Bobby is still harping about it on twitter months after the initial "incident". But then again I hear from people who listen to Clear Channel stations that he still plays Kacey, so I don't know. That's what scares me about one person/company having so much control over country radio - if you piss off that one person, you're pretty much screwed.

I heard her song played on his Nashville station when they first added it. Since that time he asked her to be apart of the St.Jude benefit that he was heading up and he apologized to her saying he regretted all the things that had happened. She apparently didn't respond to his apology or his request and then unfollowed him on twitter. Since that day, I've not heard him play her song in the morning slot. I don't feel like he could stop her from getting airplay on his stations, but I'm also beginning to wonder.

A performance of it on the ACMs surely would've helped. Still mad at whoever decided on that snub (the network?).

I'd like to think that there wasn't enough room for an additional performer or two that night, but a downright snub wouldn't surprise me neither.

I'd like to think that there wasn't enough room for an additional performer or two that night, but a downright snub wouldn't surprise me neither. There was enough room for Florida Georgia Line to perform twice and for Toby Keith to sing his biggest flop single of all time, so something tells me they could've surely found a spot for Kacey Musgraves in there.
