And now on the Hot 100 Wake Me Up is higher than all four of the songs that held it back from #1 (Royals, Roar, The Monster, Wrecking Ball)...just like with Radioactive, if only this happened a few months ago it could've been #1...

WMU never had enough points to be #1. It's not like it was stuck at #2 just barely missing the top. It was always significantly behind in those weeks.

It can only gain so much tho right? what's the absolute top threshold that a song can possibly gain, is that even possible to know?
Would it be if every single radio station in the country, played the same song over and over, non stop all day all week? Is that the top threshold?

Happy has been a great left-field success story. It will be one of the defining songs of the 10s and that's OK. It also has a timeless feel to it - it could've been a hit during numerous different era. I expect we'll be hearing it as a recurrent for a long time. |

and I also think magic deserves gaining more in airplay.I know it can't be compared to songs like clocks or viva la vida...But it is a coldplay song and it is great!I also hope they'll release a smash as the main single of the album like they did with their first 5 albums(none of the singles like clocks,viva la vida,yellow and paradise were the first single of the related album.Because magic is not a smash...

so I just went through the archives of the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart and there were songs like Starships and Til the World Ends yet I found to my astonishment that despite those not-so-EDM songs being there, Give Me Everything (an actual EDM song which features AFROJACK -___-) was not there! This makes no sense to me whatsoever.
