"A Little Past Little Rock" - Lee Ann Womack (don't know why they played this one as it was from 1998?) The PD of the station said in an interview with Music Row (that I believe you posted today, probably after this post lol) that Y2Kountry will play mostly 2000's hits but a few songs from the late 90's as well and also a few from 2010-2012. Anyway, great list of songs here. The only songs I really don't care for here are Craig's "Little Bit Of Life", B&D's "Play Something Country", and Toby's "As Good As I Once Was" (this one was just sooo over-played). And I barely remember the McGuinn song but it's pretty good. Lots of strong songs here though, in particular "Long Time Gone" and "Long Black Train".

Sweethearts Of The Rodeo was a female duo of Janis Oliver (formerly Janis Gill, wife of Vince) and Kristine Oliver. They had chart hits between 1986 and 1990, with their biggest being "Midnight Girl/Sunset Town" in '87.
Mary Chapin Carpenter is a female singer from New Jersey. She had hits from 1989 - 1999, with her biggest being "Shut Up And Kiss Me", her only chart-topper in 1994.
Tim Wilson was a stand-up comedian, known for his appearances on the Bob & Tom radio show. He passed away earlier this year of a heart attack. He was only 52.

19waves recently mentioned his trip to Austin and how great the music was so I thought I'd sit down today and give y'all a little taste of radio from here. I found time to be extra lazy today so I kept track of all three stations (981. KVET, KASE 101, and lastly KOKE FM). KVET is a mix of traditional/classic and current country; KASE is new country; KOKE FM is classic country mixed in with current traditional sounds as well as Texas country. I listen mostly to KOKE and KVET; rarely do I dial into KASE. Enjoy :) KVET 98.1 10:30am - 12:00pm (YTD most played song is "It Goes Like This"; #4 is "I Got A Car")"Nothing On But the Radio" - Gary Allan "Point At You" - Justin Moore "When You Say Nothing At All" - Alison Krauss "Crazy Town" - Jason Aldean "No News" - Lonestar "All Over the Road" - Easton Corbin "Never Wanted Nothing More" - Kenny Chesney "Doin' What She Likes" - Blake Shelton "Please Remember Me" - Tim McGraw (dj mentioned this was supposed to be a duet at first but he couldn't say her name...and it wasn't Faith) "Play It Again" - Luke Bryan "Troubadour" - George Strait "Long Way To Go" - Alan Jackson "Callin' Baton Rouge" - Garth Brooks "Whatever She's Got" - David Nail "Somebody Like You" - Keith Urban "Keep Them Kisses Coming" - Craig Campbell "Here's A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)" - Travis Tritt "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" - Toby Keith "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" - Reba McEntire (I stuck with this station until they played another female artist...only two in 1.5 hours :| ) "Wagon Wheel" - Darius Rucker KASE 101 11:30am - 1:00pm (YTD most played song is "Compass" followed by "Drink A Beer"; "I Got A Car" is #32)"Drink A Beer"- Luke Bryan "Cruise" - Florida Georgia Line "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem" - Kenny Chesney "Whiskey In My Water" - Tyler Farr "My Hometown" - Uncle Kracker "I Hold On" - Dierks Bentley "Show You Off"- Dan + Shay "When She Says Baby" - Jason Aldean "I Don't Want This Night To End" - Luke Bryan "Give Me Back My Hometown" - Eric Church "Leave the Light On" - Sam Hunt "Let It Rain" - David Nail "We Are Tonight" - Billy Currington "Forever" - Aaron Lewis (this was a random one) "Friday Night" - Eric Paslay "Roller Coaster" - Luke Bryan "Keep Them Kisses Coming" - Craig Campbell "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" - Joe Nichols "Automatic" - Miranda Lambert "American Kids" - Kenny Chesney "River Bank" - Brad Paisley "Lettin' the Night Roll" - Justin Moore "Crash My Party" - Luke Bryan "Beer Money" - Kip Moore "Drink to That All Night" - Jerrod Niemann KOKE FM 98.5/99.3 12:10pm - 1:30pm"Lovin' You Is Fun" - Easton Corbin "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" - Hank Williams, Jr. "The Way I Am" - Merle Haggard "The Way I'm Livin" - Lee Ann Womack "Wherever You Are" - Jack Ingram "I Can Take It From There" - Craig Campbell "Ghost Riders In the Sky" - Johnny Cash "Whose Heart You Wreck (Ode to The Muse)" - Radney Foster "Leaving October" - Drew Womack (formerly lead singer of Sons of the Desert) "I'm a Ramblin' Man" - Waylon Jennings "Brushy Mountain Conjugal Trailer" - Old Crow Medicine Show "Tonight's Not the Night (For Goodbye)" - Randy Rogers Band "Rum" - Brothers Osborne "Suspicious Minds" - Dwight Yoakam "Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)" - Gary Allan "From a Table Away" - Sunny Sweeney Last check in at 1:30pmKVET - "I Got A Car" - George Strait followed by "Livin' On Love" KASE - "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" - Tim and Faith KOKE FM - "Seashores of Old Mexico" - George Strait

WKJC played "For Crying Out Loud" by Davis Daniel earlier today. That's one of the most obscure things I've EVER heard them play.

"White Liar" I enjoy, but "Keeper Of The Stars" is nowhere near my favorites from Tracy Byrd as I find it to be overrated. "Like The Rain" is one of my favorites from Clint though and "Neon Moon" is probably my favorite Brooks & Dunn song.

Maybe it's just overplayed for my tastes, but even when it was released I didn't really quite care for it. I do appreciate that there are some radio stations still out there that'll play songs like that from the 90's, though. Same goes for "God Blessed Texas." It's overplayed and Little Texas put out other material that was better than that.

Okay, I can't believe I heard "Break The Record" by the Warren Brothers on Y2Kountry today. Why is this surprising? Cause it only reached #51 on R&R and #54 on Billboard in mid 2003. :)

Thought I would contribute on this thread with playlist from the other side of the pond (UK):
Radio 2 has an hour long country show once a week. This was what was played last Thursday:
Description: Ashley Monroe is Bob's session guest, recorded live on Nashville's Music Row.
You may never have heard of Ashley Monroe, but you will. At 27 she's poised to become one of country music's biggest names, with a pedigree that includes writing No 1 hits for Miranda Lambert & recording Rolling Stone magazine's 2013 country album of the year, "Like A Rose", an accolade repeated by the Hollywood Reporter, the New York Times & Billboard.
As if that wasn't enough, along with Lambert and Angaleena Presley, Monroe is one third of the Pistol Annies, and has placed a number of her songs in the TV series "Nashville", including the memorable duet "You Ain't Dolly".
Tonight she plays two songs live and discusses her career.
Pistol Annies - Hush Hush Blake Shelton - Small Town Big Time Miranda Lambert - Platinum Guy Clark - All Through Throwin' Good Love After Bad Laura Bell Bundy - Blue Moon Of Kentucky Ashley Monroe - Like A Rose Ashley Monroe - The Morning After Ashley Monroe - You Ain't Dolly... Dolly Parton - Marry Me Vince Gill - Guitar Slinger Jim Reeves - Welcome To My World Jim Reeves - You're Free To Go Laura Bell Bundy - Blue Moon Of Kentucky
