I just heard Toes on WYRK. They play it with the word 'ass' in it.

I just heard Toes on WYRK. They play it with the word 'ass' in it. Oh that's right. I forgot that WYRK plays the unedited version of "Toes". That's a recurrent they love to play as well. Perhaps it's the fact Dierks says " kiss my ass"? I guess it depends what station it is and what song it is.

Seeing how this is going to peak soon, has anyone heard any rumblings about the next single? It's seems like they'll have a couple of solid options, it's a really good album. I know it wouldn't make sense to release "Sounds of Summer" yet, they'll save that for the 5th single.

I read an article a while back that said it's between Pretty Girls and Say You Do. He has added both to his live sets.

Pleeaasseee be SYD. Pretty Girls is good but the weakest from the album IMO.
Anyways, I'm glad this is doing so well. Shaping up to be one of the years bigger hits.

I want it to be "Sounds of Summer." I don't want to wait any longer for it to take off. It's a huge hit just sitting there.
But... I suppose it makes since to try and release it next spring.
"Say You Do" would likely be a slow riser (pun?) and assuming it doesn't impact until...September 1? after they take a couple weeks off once Drunk on a Plane peaks. 20 weeks on the chart for the next single peaks in late January/early Feb, particularly with the holiday break. Then they send "Sounds of Summer" out to close the era in late February? Or do they squeeze in a 4th and hope to send Sounds out next July. I doubt Riser would still be moving enough units to warrant continuing the era though.

I am roughly 90% sure "Riser" will close the era as the final single. I just don't think "Sounds of Summer" will see a release. I mean, the CD is still selling pretty well, so it's possible, but looking ahead 8 months from now, I just feel like they'll be looking to close out the era.
My personal pick for next single is Say You Do, even though I think Pretty Girls would have a 'friendlier' chart climb. But Dierks has a ton of momentum right now, and I do think radio is moving away from certain sounds. So I think Say You Do would be a good choice. And it's just so damn good.

This song got a huge crowd reaction at his show last night in St. Louis! One of the best concerts I've been to so far.

I'm glad this song is having the success it is. It's one of my favorite country songs right now, and I definitely wouldn't label it as bro country. It actually has more substance to it, seeing as it is a breakup song.
I loved "I Hold On" too so his singles this era have been on point for me.

This has become my favorite Dierks song, and that's saying a lot because he has a strong catalogue. I'd personally go with "Five" or "Pretty Girls" as the next single, and release "Sounds of Summer" after for a nice summertime peak.

Well it appears this has managed to hold off Arista's River Bank attempted chartjacking (yay), so woohoo, 12 #1s!
He is filming the video for his next single today.
... And the Highway played Say You Do this morning. My fingers are so crossed they hurt!!!
Edit: apparently when Dierks visited the Highway on Thursday he said SYD is the next single.

Yeah, Aritsa threw everything but the kitchen sink to get to #1 on MB this weekend, but Dierks was just way too far ahead in audience and spins (though Brad was able to edge Dierks in spins this morning) to get it done. I love Brad and "River Bank" but I'm super glad Dierks held him off. Congrats to Dierks on another chart topper. I didn't get a chance to hear that "Say You Do" will be the next single on The Highway, but I'm glad. I was fearing "Pretty Girls". Now they can close the album out with "Riser" which would be fantastic if that's indeed what transpires. PS: Everyone's waiting for you to start the "Say You Do" thread. ;)

I would love to see them push for a 2nd week at #1 because I believe this is one of the biggest hits of the year and it feels deserving of a multi-week #1. I'm fairly certain it won't though with Lady A rising so fast. I'm expecting "River Bank" to start falling on Monday.

Has he ever had a platinum single before? This one is looking to sell in that threshold.

"Say You Do" is already up to #125 on the iTunes Country genre chart. I'm assuming it has been getting spins on The Highway? I figured they'd wait a while before releasing the next single, but I don't see any harm in announcing the next one already. I think we should be getting a decision soon.

It got spun once on the Highway, 2 weeks ago when he was in the studio. I know 93.9 in Raleigh has been playing SYD pretty regularly this past week, but I haven't seen anything on All Access for audience amounts or anything. I suspect/hope we'll get an announcement this week? I don't expect an add date for a few weeks, but I have a feeling it'll go to radio this week. (No idea where that hunch is coming from, honestly.)

By the way, I finally downloaded the whole album (I previously had just a handful of songs), and it is a great album. "Back Porch" is the only blunder on the album. It's easily the album of the year so far.

Tonight was the #1 party for DOAP. Dierks was presented with his first platinum single. I'd love to see many more. :) dm2081 I just saw your comment! So happy you're enjoying Riser! I'm biased, but I agree it's one of the best of the year!
