She has made a few visits to different children's hospitals over the past few months, no press and often staying hours longer than they had scheduled.

Unfortunately my 20 year old cousin in NYC has kidney cancer. Super rare for his age. (No condolences needed, just pray he gets through it please!) Taylor swift surprised him and sang him a song privately. Just family in the room. He's a big fan. It's crazy what it did for his mood! Say what you will, but this girl is absolutely amazing. No press, no media, just her. As If I didn't love her enough before... What a human.

And finally, she went to a fan's Bridal shower a few days ago. She promised her she would go and she kept her promise.

I want to share about what happened Sunday, April 13th!

Backstory:

I have met Taylor several times since 2007. She knew who I was before Sunday (I want to clear this up from some of the articles being posted.) In September at the last Red show in Nashville, I told Taylor I was engaged. She was so excited for me and took the “ring” picture and signed the card for Bryan & I. She asked me to “remind her about the wedding.”

A few weeks ago I sent Taylor a bridal shower invite and wedding save the date and told her I didn’t have wedding invites yet. I was anxiously waiting to see if she would ever get the cards.

April 13:

I was in the hallway waiting for a friend to come who was lost looking for the room. I saw a girl coming toward me with a huge basket and stared confused who she was because I didn’t recognize her right away. I just stared at her trying to figure out why she was coming into my room haha. When she got closer she said “hi.” and I RAN to her and said “OMG WHAT” and I turned and SCREAMED “Abbeye” 3 times. Abbeye said she thought I broke my ankle because I sounded panicked hahaha. When Taylor walked in everyone was so in shock- and she kindly took pictures with everyone. She told me she couldn’t make the wedding so she wanted to surprise me here. She seemed SO excited to be there. She said she was tired but she slept on the plane. I thought this was a hi and bye thing- and she told me she was staying the whole time. Then we all sat down and ate (Bryan pulled up a chair next to me for her because she asked if she could sit by me :) ) She asked what you do at a bridal shower and said she had never been to one. We both had on Jimmy Choos (I wore my wedding shoes!) This came up because she said “I like your shoes” and I told her they were Jimmy and she said “mine are too! These are my only pair too- we must have a thing.” and I said “Yeah- they are my only pair too.” and everyone laughed. Next I went up in front and opened gifts- Taylor’s was first only because they had put it right in front of my chair- we didn’t realize it was hers. She apologized for going overboard she said she wasn’t sure what to get! She said she checked my registry and wanted to get me my PB chandelier, but it was backordered, so she went to William Sonoma instead. She was SO excited to give me my mixer. She said she has the same one and it’s her favorite. I have ALWAYS wanted the red one. I don’t know if my reaction was excited- but everything was so overwhelming I was trying to process it all. But I want her to know I have always wanted the red one and my mom said “pick a fun color” but I always loved the red. My aunt got me the mint green one I had asked for but I assured Taylor I would use hers and it would be on display. :) I got a card that sang ‘Today was a Fairytale” and I knew it was a singing card so I just peeked in and she said “It’s okay you can open it” so I opened it and sang over dramatically and everyone laughed and she covered her face. haha After the gifts we got cake and coffee. Taylor said the cake was amazing. (She also tried buckeyes for the first time and loved them!) People started to ask for pictures again, and she continued to talk to everyone. She seemed so happy for me and asked me several questions about the wedding- I showed her my dress, the tables, my brooch bouquet, my boots. She said it is going to be a beautiful wedding and don’t be nervous! She said I handled myself well during the shower so don’t get stressed at the wedding. We took the pic holding the LOVE letters my mom made. She loved all of our decor (Including the pic of her and I) and she took pictures of everything to show her mom (She said). She loved the mason jar centerpieces Bryan made and said he is a walking pinterest! ha! She also videoed a lot of the shower so she could remember it. The theme was “Loving him IS red” and she loved that. She told me she had to get back to NYC because her friend (Gracie) was on an ice skating tour and she promised her she would be out to see her. Then she had to be at MTV. I thanked her and hugged her one last time and she whispered “I love you.” and I whispered “I love you bigger” she looked at me and smiled, then waved to everyone and left.

I can’t even imagine what she spent to do all this for me. For the gifts, for the cost to use her private plane to get here and back. She was running on no sleep. I can’t comprehend why she would do this but it makes me adore her more than I ever thought I could. She made sure the day was about me (That is why she pulled me in everyone’s photos). She told me several times I looked beautiful. She wanted to meet my bridal party and my family. She gave me so many hugs and the way she looked at me I knew she loved me and cared about me. It meant the world to me. I think she really enjoyed a “normal’ day. I don’t know why she went out of her way to do something so amazing- but I appreciate it more than I can express. Kayla pointed out that the letter I wrote her in September I quoted “I’ve been afraid of changing cause I’ve built my life around you.” I think this was Taylor’s way of reminding me it’s okay to grow up and move on. I will always support her and she will always be in my life. The people who are meant to be in your life will always find a way to stay there.

Taylor is a rare artist who is able to substantially grow with each new release. It will be truly incredible if this 5th album continues that tradition.

Speak Now is a really special album to me, so I highly doubt anything she could ever release would top it, but that's just a personal thing. She truly has gotten better with each release and it's because she is not afraid to experiment and to try new things. That makes an artist. She's just such a great role model because she truly is beautiful both inside and out. She just...gets it,

Why is suddenly everyone saying that she gets better with each album? Not that I don't agree with that but weren't most people upset upon hearing the straight-up pop songs on her last album?

While I'm sure there are still those who very much oppose what she did with Red, I think a lot of people are acknowledging that stepping outside of her comfort zone was brave and that it made her grow as an artist.

I don't think she gets better with every album, but I do think that every one of her albums have been absolutely incredible in their own way!!!!

My ranking:
1. Fearless - In my opinion it's gonna take something truly spectacular to beat this! It's the perfect combination of pop and country! So many flawless songs, I remember sitting on my bed and just listening to this on repeat with my CD player (back when those were a thing ) I still jam out to You're Not Sorry, Fearless, Love Story, YOU BELONG WITH ME!, Forever and Always, Tell Me Why, and Change!!!

2. Speak Now - All the songs on this album were very great, and I at least liked all of them! My favorites that I still jam out to are BETTER THAN REVENGE, Enchanted, Speak Now, and Sparks Fly!!!

3. Red - Great, but too many boring songs! I skip a few of them (State of Grace, Treacherous, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Come Back... Be Here) But so many songs make up for that (not that those songs are bad, but I just don't want to listen to them more than a couple of times at most!) I still jam out to I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Everything Has Changed, and Stay Stay Stay!

4. Taylor Swift - Unfortunately her debut was the weakest from her, although there were multiple jams, I just never cared much about the album tracks like I do on her others! Still jam out to OUR SONG, Teardrops on My Guitar, Should've Said No, and Picture to Burn!!!

She is one of the most consistent artists for me personally and chart-wise!!! I'm excited to see what will be on her newest album!!!!

As far as I remember, most Pulse members were pretty supportive of her straight up pop songs on Red, just not all of them being released as a single one after another.

My ranking for her albums are:

Speak Now
Red
Fearless
Taylor Swift

Speak Now is just too good. She did progress artistically on Red, but I still prefer Speak Now overall.

Speak Now may have had the masterpiece Last Kiss and Dear John, but it also had Better Than Revenge and the just ok Story of Us. Red doesn't have one song that I don't love. Therefore, Red wins!

Yes, some were upset, and it's inevitable that some fans will be upset when an artist tries to change their sound or go in a new direction. I and many others, however, love the fact that she's not just making the same album over and over again. There's nothing worse than having your favs constantly rehashing their old material. She already had a masterpiece like Speak Now, so I was beyond thrilled that she didn't try to recreate that album and instead took her music in a new direction, incorporating more pop and rock and a more collaborative approach after the deeply personal Speak Now.

I agree with those that say that Red isn't necessarily better than Speak Now, but I definitely think it's on the same level, just different and more of a risk for Taylor. I still see that as progressing and improving her art even if it's not strictly better than the previous release.

All of 4 of Taylor's albums are great.Hard to rank all four But Will do it :)

1.Speak Now
2.Red
3.Fearless
4.Taylor Swift

Yeah I have to said in the past,Taylor gets better and better with each album but so far Speak Now is still her best album to date.IMO all four of her albums have held up well. Her debut still sounds great years later. The Speak Now Live CD that came with the DVD makes the Speak Now tracks sound even better. Red may have a few pop tracks here and there but still is a good album.Taylor is my #1 favorite artist so whenever she releases next,I hope it will be as great as previous.

1. Fearless ~ Aside from "Fifteen," still adore this whole album. "You're Not Sorry," "The Way You Loved Me," "You Belong With Me," etc. <3
2. Taylor Swift ~ Probably nostalgia is involved with this one, just because I fell in love with her with "TOMG," but I do like the sound for this one. I actually like it more now than I did then.
3. Red ~ Hated this album to begin with, but it's slowly grown on me, although I still don't love it.
4. Speak Now ~ This just felt like a lesser Fearless to me, but I do love "Mine," "Enchanted," and "Last Kiss."

I'd like to think she would go back at least a little to her old sound, but I'm sure she'll stick with pop from now on. *sigh*

I get it. I really do...but like, c'mon. You can be seen in sweatpants or workout gear. Not everything about you has to be 100% perfect. This makes me wonder how she truly feels.

That 'pressure' is self imposed (either from herself, or someone on her team). No one would think twice if she came out of the gym in Yoga pants and a tanktop. Come to think of it, she'd probably look radiant. So the 'pressure to look beautiful' is a conscious plan for her to have a certain 'image,' and not anything else.
