Hope she sets a new record. I have a feeling 1989 will more than deserve it. It deserves to break a new record along with biggest first week sales for a female artist. Hands down.

The only duds for me are New York and I Wish you would. Everything else is on par with get best songs. This is a fantastic cd. Really may be her best.

Damn, she's coming for Lana Del Rey's career with "Wildest Dreams".
And excuse you, "I Wish You Would" is magic.

Which song supposedly has the "Secret Garden" (Bruce Springsteen) influence?

I'm laughing so hard at those who doubted her. This is easily her best effort. It's fucking incredible.

Six tracks in and it sounds like an extremely cohesive, well-written, catchy pop album. Perhaps not the obvious SMASH AFTER SMASH AFTER SMASH of an album like Teenage Dream, but the lyrics are significantly stronger and it's extremely enjoyable.

It's a good album and probably her second best behind Speak Now. Style is probably my favorite on the album.

how you get the girl is the filler-ish track of the album.
taylor's filler is better than your faves' lead singles.
that is all.

Is this out in any country? I'd rather just hear some previews than sit through the whole album lol.

Think I will hold out and purchase on Monday. I didn't buy her last album and I regretted it. lol
How does it compare to those who liked/hated previous albums of hers? I'm curious. Is it as epic as Speak Now was/is to me? Which I consider very epic.

For me, it's the pop equivalent of "Speak Now". It blows "Red" out the water.

So far...
The bridge on Bad Blood is killer.
I Know Places is amazing. Love the melody and the verses are epic.
Blank Space reminds me of Lorde...I like that haha.
Style should be a single. It's so instantaneous.
Clean is beautiful.
Wildest Dreams...HOLY COW. Whoever said it reminds them of Lana Del Rey is spot on.
This sounds so much more mature than anything else she's ever done. I can't put my finger on why, but it's stellar. It'll be interesting to see what they choose as singles...

Blank Space needs to be single #2
Here's how I see it:
1) SIO 2) Blank Space 3) Out of the Woods 4) Style 5) Bad Blood 6) I Know Places

"All You Had to Do Was Stay" is better than both "Style" and "Blank Space" I'd consider it a single before those two.

How You Get the Girl is my favorite! It's like Love Story meets 22's production! Style is also really good. All You Had to Do Was Stay could've been perfect if she wasn't doing those Ellie Goulding STAY screams. The first half of the album could all be successful singles.
Bad Blood was a disappointment. If you're gonna go after the biggest pop star in the world, it needs to be way better than that!

Not listening to anything, but I'm excited that people say it's as good or nearly as good as Speak Now. That album is close to pop perfection itself (don't tell country radio).
