Brits performance was boring, but fine. Great that she won her first Brit though, she has undoubtedly been the biggest International female over the past year in the UK. She looked ridiculously gorgeous in custom Roberto Cavalli on the red carpet. Also, she won Woman of the Year at the Elle Style Awards the night prior to the Brits.

I enjoyed the BRITs performance more than the AMAs' . It was more simple, but it was more enjoyable for me

I'm not crying, I swear. Jalene's final wish comes true thanks to Taylor SwiftAfter weeks of checking off every item on her bucket list, Jalene Salinas, a San Antonio, Texas, girl battling an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer had one final wish. She dreamed of dancing with Taylor to her hit song 'Shake It Off.' And at about 6 p.m. on Monday evening, the 4-year-old's wish became a reality. Jalene's mom told KENS-TV, Taylor Swift chatted with the family for 20 minutes during a surprise call via Facetime. "I'm so sorry you're having a bad night. I'm so happy to talk to you though and I'm so happy you like 'Shake It off,'" Swift said. "You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You're just as pretty as your pictures." Swift added. Jalene's health had taken a dramatic turn over the weekend leaving her unable to attend a special benefit to raise funds for her final expenses. "She woke up not being able to walk, and she's very unstable but she's still responding and she's still able to talk." said Jennifer Arriagas, Jalene's mom. When people across the USA heard of Jalene's bucket list, people rallied around the brave 4-year-old on Twitter using #ShakeItOffJalene to try and gain Taylor Swift's attention. Swift told the family she heard of Jalene while on tour in London and planned on reaching out as soon as she made it back to the U.S. Jalene was in quite a bit of pain and didn't talk much, but she lit up chatting about her baby brother seen in the YouTube video with her dancing to 'Shake It Off'. "We have a baby named Josh," Jalene said. Monday's touching moment was the culmination of thousands of tweets and inspirational messages hoping Jalene's final wish would to come true. "You completed her wish list. We can check everything off and as her mom it just, it means the world to me that she got to do and see and everything is checked off now. It means so much to me that you reached out to us." Jennifer Arriagas said. "Everyone in the car with me is crying right now," Swift said. Jalene, meanwhile, offered up two simple words of thanks for all her supporters: "Love y'all".

I'm just surprised there is no physical version of the 1989 Karaoke. All of the other Karaoke albums were released with physical version. Maybe BMG doesn't see much profit from releasing this one physically at all.

After thinking about it, I'm a bit worried. 1989 is such a perfection. The question is, will Taylor be able to at least match or didn't disappoint with her next album when 1989 raise the bar so high?
Of course I wouldn't expect her next album to be as good as 1989, because 1989 is Taylor in her finest form, but I would be disappointed if Taylor stick safely to the formula she use with 1989 (Like Green Day with 21st Century Breakdown being an attempt to match American Idiot) and didn't try to experiment more.
Maybe I'm worrying too much, or maybe I'm thinking too far, but I couldn't help but wonder. (Maybe I should write this again once the era is over?)

In my opinion, each of Taylor's albums has been better than its predecessor, with one exception (Speak Now was better than Red, but Red was by no means a bad album).

IMO as much as I love "1989" as I play it nearly every day,I have to say "Speak Now" is still to date her best album. "1989" is a close 2nd.Taylor is on a pop radio streak this era and that is only thing that would be hard to reach with the next album. Right now we are in a middle of a era,the tour has yet to start and we don't what the setlist or costumes are gonna be like.

I have ~4.462M as of 3/1 (Billboard confirmed it was at 4.414M on 2/22, and it did about 48K last week). Edit: I'm guessing the 4.7 million was a typo and you meant 4.5M? That's what Billboard said was the cume for Speak Now as of a few weeks ago, and that's the milestone "1989" will potentially pass this week. The question I have is what 4.5M means. Does anyone have anything more specific - because it could technically include everything from 4.451M to 4.549M? (And, yes, I know that worrying about whether it 1989 leapfrogs Speak Now this week or next week is silly - it's an absurdly impressive feat regardless)

As we dont have the exact sales for Speak Now, it may be next week that 1989 surpasses it :)

Taylor Swift's '1989' Has Outsold Her Last Two AlbumsBy Keith Caulfield | March 13, 2015 12:35 PM EDT After just 19 weeks of release, Taylor Swift's 1989 has now outsold both of her last two albums. (It seems the pop music thing is working out just fine for the diva, eh? 1989 is her first all-pop album after four country sets.) 1989 sold another 44,000 copies in the week ending March 8, according to Nielsen Music, lifting the title's total sales to 4.505 million. 1989 already surpassed the sales of Swift's last album, 2012's Red (4.160 million after 124 weeks), a few weeks ago, while 1989 now jumps past her earlier album, 2010's Speak Now (4.480 million after 228 weeks) in the latest tracking week. 1989 was the top selling album of 2014 (3.661 million sold that year) and remains the top seller of 2015 so far (844,000). It famously debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 1.287 million sold in its first week. Selling millions of albums is nothing new for Swift, of course. The new twist to her sales story is 1989's sales rate. In merely 19 weeks, it has surpassed the sales of what was her third-biggest seller, which has been on sale for 228 weeks. Next up on Swift's personal hit list: her self-titled 2006 debut (5.492 million) and her biggest seller, 2008's Fearless (6.909 million). For those keeping score, Swift's cumulative album sales (including her five her studio efforts, and other assorted live sets, EPs, etc.) now stand at 27.67 million. In terms of album sales, she is the seventh-largest selling female artist since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6502076/taylor-swift-1989-outsold-her-last-two-albums

Is Wonderland the most underrated song on the album? I think it's the best bonus track (yes, better than New Romantics), and I'd put it in the top half of 1989.

I feel like it's underrated relative to its quality level. No one ever really spoke about if and I finally heard it when it was put on iTunes and it's really damn good. O.O
I would easily rate it higher than YRIL, HYGTG, This Love, Clean, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Welcome to New York. And personally I like it more than I Know Places and New Romantics.

Most of Taylor Swift's music is available on Jay Z's TIDAL streaming serviceby Will Robinson • WILL_Robinson_ Are you one of the few with access to Jay Z’s high fidelity music streaming service? Do you like the musical stylings of Taylor Swift? It’s your lucky day! Most of the pop’s star’s catalogue, save last fall’s release 1989, is on Hov’s TIDAL. The service is available for a seven-day trial, but then requires a hefty $19.99 monthly subscription to keep the lossless, pure tunes going. It remains to be seen if Swift’s availability on the service—set for a March 30 U.S. relaunch—will be forever, or whether the arrangement, like Spotify, will go down in flames… or is just a fluke. EW has reached out to Swift’s reps to confirm it isn’t a fluke, but have yet to hear back. www.ew.com/article/2015/03/23/taylor-swift-stream-jay-z-tidal
