Active Aggressive Funny you say that, I remember when Red first came out my friend and I commented that as much as we loved it, several of the songs felt like they were written about something that had happened a long time ago. More often Taylor's songs feel like they were written in the moment, if that makes sense, but Red felt more like a retrospective. I always felt that Sad beautiful Tragic did not get enough attention, mainly due to everyone being crazy about All Too Well. The latter is also beautiful, but SBT was definitely my favorite breakup song from that album.

There's ANOTHER video of her lipsyncing to Kendrick Lamar's "Backseat Freestyle" floating around today on Joe Jonas' birthday party bus (lolz) last night while Kendall Jenner, The Weeknd, Gigi Hadid, Nick Jonas, etc are all aboard. She really thinks it's sooooo cool that she can memorize the lyrics of a rap song!

I love Sad Beautiful Tragic. I think 'All Too Well' is probably her most honest/specific on 'Red' though. I prefer All Too Well for its specific details but again, I chalk that up to her strong skills as a songwriter versus calling it a statement of honesty. The one time she really faltered was when she tried to sell that romance between her and Taylor Lautner in Back to December, as if that was some great love affair. We've ALL seen that infamous .gif of him with the talking hands, LOL. I feel like with Calvin Harris she has at least finally found a guy to date who isn't into her just for publicity/bearding reasons (I don't really count the Kennedy heir she dated for a hot second.) I just hope one of these days she finally finds a guy to settle down with, if, of course, that's what she truly wants. Edit: @ IKYWT coming on as I finished that. I swear my phone can read my mind sometimes.

I love "All Too Well" and "Sad, Beautiful, Tragic" but my favoorite ended relationship song still goes to "Last Kiss". That song is perfection.
Interesting what was posted about Red being a reflective album. Never really thought of it like that!

You could practically feel her sitting there alone in her room, with an aching heart and crying. After so many albums and so many gems, "Last Kiss" still never left my frequent playlists. I honestly don't know how anyone could listen to "Last Kiss" (and "All Too Well" etc) back then and still argued that Taylor only wrote fluff songs.

"Sad, Beautiful, Tragic" is very underrated on Taylor's album Red. It may gotten overshadowed over the years by "All Too Well" but it is greatness.

Is OOTW getting the single snub because Martin/Shellback writing credits aren't attached to it? I know they did a lot on the album, but it's the common denominator on all 5 singles. Just an observation.

Just an observation. It was the first preview of the album (not counting SIO) meanwhile there were no Max tracks released as teasers. I don't think your point is valid :/ And bad blood got remixed produced by Kendrick who changed a lot the song though

True, but promo teaser =/= full single treatment.

Has she fallen out of the Top 10 since Shake it Off came out last year? She's still got a bit to go, but isn't the record somewhere around 69 weeks consecutively (by Queen Katy)?

Little Mix were the special guests and they performed Black Magic. And during Style, Taylor brought out Julia Roberts and Joan Baez

It had been mentioned a few months back that Taylor was a rumored performer at next year's Superbowl halftime show. She performed two shows at the venue that will host the next Superbowl and there were some reports that she was curious about how the stage would be set up and stuff just in case she was selected. Maybe she is still on the short list of performers they are interested in selecting.

My money's on Taylor, but I feel like if Britney is still in the running then she's at least interested (which has always been the biggest hurdle to overcome). It's gonna come down to who's management wants it more, and let's be real, Britney's team doesn't give half the f**ks Taylor's does.

That video is funny until you realize Edward Droste, whose hate boner for her is getting pathetic, filmed it.
But I still lol @ Blair Witch and the nanny Ben Affleck f**ked.

Guys, Shake It Off came out a year ago. Amazing how huge this era has been. Relive the livestream, Monday 18th August 2014.

Ed is a bit of a sour puss who takes himself way too seriously. My fraternity brother's brother Dan Rossen is the co-lead of Grizzly Bear with him and he confirms that the struggle is indeed real with that one. Not to mention the fact that he is almost as much of a famous friend collector as Taylor is.

The Acclaimed Music site had its annual update. Taylor is ranked No. 902 on the artists list.
(As a genre, country albums don't usually fare as well on these kinds of lists, hence why her earlier releases don't feature. Sometimes country outlets do have best-of lists, though.)
Here are her rankings (top 3,000 albums and 6,000 songs):
Albums 2,141. 1989
Songs 1,957. Shake It Off 3,791. Blank Space 4,351. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Songs- Bubbling Under You Belong with Me Style Out of the Woods

"Style" could end up on some end-of-year 2015 lists (as it was a single this year).
