ERA Over. If this is no longer seeing a release should it be closed? Era NOT over. This song is getting adds and is set to be released in other genres besides pop, not to mention this is recieving add(s) from pop station(s) as well. Also this is still an undetermined not a closed case. So no, sorry to disappoint, but this era isnt over yet!!! :)

However, that probably means she'll come back BIGGGER than ever with the next era complete with Pop airplay.

I wish this would happen with the tour coming up and everything. I feel like Beyoncé doesn't really care to have hit singles anymore. She no longer seems invested in the promotion/commercial aspect of the music. I hate to say it, but every since she let her father go as her manager her album eras have been very bipolar, not well planned. The surprise release was great, she had the world in the palm of her hand for a few weeks and didn't take advantage of it. The pop station in Tucson has been playing Partition as the "new" Beyoncé song. Such a mess all the way around. Wish she would throw this out to all formats and see what happens.

This sucks. Where is Partition, I'm tired of having to scour the urban stations just to pop my pussy :(

She had the general public's attention, but XO was a poor single. I think it's a nice song, but it is boring compared to her past hits. Her first mainstream single should have been a club song like Blow, Drunk in Love, Partition, or even Mine. But I think her label are scared to send any sexual song to pop radio tbh...

Her priorities have obviously changed.
Even with the 4 era she promoted the hell out of her first two singles and pushed countdown.
Not really surprised with her lack of interest this era. All one needs to do is what the video docs released soon after the album to realize that promoting "quick lil singles" was not the goal for this album.
I personally think she's proven all she needed to with this album. I think she along with Columbia are satisfied with the sales thus far. Its only the fans that want her to push singles to get those "quick lil hits."

Girl don't act like pop wouldn't have JUMPED on Partition if it was smashing in sales/streaming (fyi it flopped on both measures). Single Ladies never got an adds date. The BEYONCE era has been an album sales smash, an urban radio smash, and a pop underperformer/flop: XO flopped at pop DIL underperformed at pop (#13) Partition flopped at pop Pretty Hurts - not looking great The truth of the matter is that since the 4 era Beyonce's core format has been urban/rhythmic - she's not really seen as a pop artist anymore. The disconnect here is obviously our definition of a flop which is totally subjective, so yeah, round and round in circles. How the FUCK did DIL underperform? No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Get your facts together boo

I wish her team would get their stuff together. I think the public wanted these songs to be big. More people were quoting Drunk In Love than any of the massive #1's pop was playing. Partition was getting pop airplay in my area, and the club goes crazy when it comes on. I wish this song would get a proper release, it screams pop radio.

Even if her priority wasn't to necessarily record a bunch of radio ready hit singles, she still had plenty of radio hits on this album (at least for Urban and Rhythmic). Releasing this as a single, and as an Urban exclusive single at first, made no sense. She could have had 6-7 Urban hits with this album, but this one is killing momentum.
