I'd be absolutely speechless if that were referring to an album. Probably another random project she has.

You know, for the past few days I was wondering why all those news and activities on her FB page... Coz usually it is very quiet it seems that it was some kind of a preparation for the BIG NEWS! like this photo from this morning and this

I would die if it were a new album! I'd be on life support if it were a brand new single for a new album. I'd be walking past the hospital if it ends up being some random project that isn't a new album or single. Good for her for whatever it happens to be.

It is springtime ... Alanis usually drops her albums in spring/summer with the single release around that time. Anyways, I am so ready ... Havoc & Bright Lights is an amazing album and was listening to it A LOT!

I am not also sure whether this is a new photo and possibly the album/single cover...

Too bad few will care - unless it's really good.
Havoc was my least favourite Alanis album. Before that, it was Flavors of Entanglement, however Flavors was still an excellent album to me that is so different from all of her others whereas Havoc is so bland. I liked a few tracks and that was it. I was hoping when Alanis separated from Maverick that she would stop trying to make radio-friendly music and make something solid but so far, she hasn't. But she's one of the few singers I will probably never give up on. Any time she releases an album, it's always a massive event for me.

I hope this is more of an unreleased collection vs. GH.

An unreleased collection would be amazing. There are a few songs that I would love to have on CD, including 20/20, Break, and some other ones that I've only heard about over the years. This would include songs that haven't been released from the Vancouver sessions, and I think I read about unreleased material from Flavors and So-Called Chaos. I'm excited!
Where is this information coming from? Her official Tumblr isn't updating, so where is she releasing the new album info?

So-Called Chaos leftovers would GIVE ME LIFE! That album is everything to me. It is my second favourite album of hers. And it's great because every Spring, in May, I totally relive that album again just like the first time in 2004. It was released in May of that year and I totally played it out so now it reminds me of Spring and just really sets me up.

Yes, please! Legitimate leftovers in the fault; NOT just a bunch of demos and alternate mixes.

OMG. I had no idea about this. I normally check a fansite forum of hers like once a week (but to my happy surprise, this was very recently and briefly announced! lol) I hope this means she will tour also? I have never seen her live and I really want to. Even if it is only a "vault" album, it is still exciting

Here is a quote from her FB.
We have gone through my vault of magazine covers, unreleased photos and more. I will be posting them here for you!

1. Jagged Little Pill 2. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie 3. So-Called Chaos 4. Under Rug Swept 5. Flavors Of Entanglement 6. Havoc & Bright Lights So-Called Chaos brings me back to late 2004 when I was PSYCHO over "Eight Easy Steps". I went through a time during the first five months of 2004 where I was mostly just listening to Madonna (that sounds silly I know lol but it's true), and Alanis got me out of that.

Yeah, I was waiting for an official announcement about something. Talk about jumping the gun.
But in the meantime, let's join JessieLou and rate her albums:
1. Jagged Little Pill 2. So Called Chaos 3. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie 4. Under Rug Swept 5. Flavors Of Entanglement 6. Havoc & Bright Lights
I'd put SSC and SFIJ pretty close to each other with SCC having the edge simply because SFIJ is unnecessarily long. URS and FoE are also pretty close with URS winning because I listened to it more over a longer period of time. Though I do associate FoE with the summer of 2008 so I am fond of that.... I might have to give it a listen in full soon now I think.
Adding in the other releases: 1. Jagged Little Pill 2. So Called Chaos 3. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie 4. Under Rug Swept 5. Flavors Of Entanglement 6. MTV Unplugged 7. Jagged Little Pill Acoustic 8. Havoc & Bright Lights 9. Feast On Scraps
I once made my own b-sides compilation album of Alanis tracks called Unsurrounded By The Pawn that had much of what ended up showing up on Feast On Scraps but with a bunch of other not-since-released b-sides. I should make a sequel to that since I've since downloaded a bunch of other b-sides and bonus tracks. She has a lot of official non-album songs out there.
